This is for the Fulke Walwyn Trophy at Newbury on Friday. Heading up the field at the moment is ERITAGE at 10/3* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020). He has made a successful start to the new season.

Paul Nicholls saw his charge collect a Ludlow win on his chase debut recently. Heritage looked to have plenty in the tank as well.

So it looks like there is more to come in this sphere. He jumped very well over the fences and therefore there are strong claims for this handicap effort.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

We also have to size up a very big threat of ANEMOI in the fixture. He came into the chasing sphere recently at Chepstow and collected a win at Chepstow.

He was involved in a great duel with FINANCIER in that one, getting the better of the latter by a short head. Anemoi had made an error two from home to make life a little harder for himself.

But that win was after opening for the campaign with a score over the hurdle. He is heading in the right direction and should feature very strongly.

ZOFFEE may be open for considerations in this one as well. He opened his chasing account with a runner up spot at Warwick in September.

He built on that to get the win at Exeter on his next effort and really didn’t have to get to top gear to do that. This is the handicapping debut for the Phillip Hobbs gelding, and he looks to be on a nice mark.

This will be the fourth run of the season for him as he looks to record his first success of it. He was last seen three weeks ago in a Doncaster handicap (field of 23).

Raymond Tusk went well to claim sixth place after a slow start.

This will be the first ever test forhim on the fibresand but he could pull enough out of that surface to bring strong claims.

Andrew Balding’s JOHNNY DRAMA has secured a double in his last two efforts, so is in great heart at the moment.

This is his fibresand debut also and it will be interesting to see how much further he can take his current form. Johnny Drama’s most recent success was in a Kempton handicap 9 days ago. That was a quick race, in which he flourished.

We can’t ignore the current form and Johnny Drama is where the value is at for us at 9/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020).

SAM COOKE slipped to a low finish at Doncaster last time out. ThHat was three weeks ago and connections will likely be a little concerned over that.

FARAMMAN looks to have a lot to find on his return after 8 months ago. He gets his first run for a new yard.

There’s a good field in attendance here. DR SANDERSON is the current market leader for Paul Nicholls at 11/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020).

Dr Sanderson will be looking to build on a victory taken on his reappearance run. That was at Plumpton where he was 7lb lower than where he left off last season. He took full advantage of that to pick up the win.

He was showing a bit of promise over hurdles and in chasing last season and could be primed to deliver on that now.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

We think that KILFILUM CROSS is worth revisiting despite looking like he badly needed his reappearance at Fakenham. This will be his first run since pulling up at Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago.

He was travelling well before just fading out visibly tiring on the 25f trip. The shorter trip may play to his hands and should be stripping fitter now.

The other for the list is going to be NIETZSCHE. He benefited from some time on the flat when he dropped back into this sphere recently at Wetherby.

It was a third place finish that Nietzsche took there putting together a very good run.  There has to be more to come from him over the fences after that, so it is worth keeping on side.

FIDDLERONTHEROOF is the 5/6 odds-on favorite* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020). We were hoping to find just a little more value in the field, but Colin Tizzard’s gelding is the one to beat.

It has been a strong start to the new campaign, opening with a runner up at Ffos Las in a field of three in mid-October.

Fiddlerontheroof then showed grit to hold off the challenge of Silver Hallmark to win by a head at Exeter to get off the mark in chasing. The handicapping will help further.

Paul Nicholls has GETAWAY TRUMP in this one, and he has won two of his four runs this season. The 7 year old has pushed on a bit in this sphere this season.

He scored at Warwick on his second run of the campaign, beating Zoffee by a length. His latest win was at Fakenham a week ago in a field of three. Getaway Trump enjoys the small fields.

Then there is CARIBBEAN BOY for Nicky Henderson. He showed some promise on his chasing debut in January, taking 3rd of 8 at Doncaster behind winning The Big Bite.

But then he got off the mark a month later at Haydock, turning the tables on The Big Bite by 5 lengths. That was a big improvement.

What a field we have here. The impressive PAISLEY PARK is heading up the market at 2/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020). He saw his seven race winning streak ended in March at the worst time possible.

He had been one of the hot tickets at the Cheltenham Festival, but was only placed in midfield in the Stayers’ Hurdle after having gone as the 4/6F. That was some blow for Emma Lavelle’s impressive gelding.

Paisley Park won this fixture last year as the strong odds-on favourite. He’ll have his work cut out to hold on to that title, but clearly not worth giving up on yet after one bad run.

We have to look at MCFABULOUS. He is another of the big stars of this sphere and heis looking to compel a four-timer.

His latest win happened in early October when he collected the Perisan War at Chepstow (Grade 2) by 3 lengths over Courtandbould.

He’s a player. Mcfabulous looks to be the one to oppose Paisley Park with at 9/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020).

SUMMERVILLE BOY also arrives on the back of a win. He was last in action at Aintree in early November, getting the better of Ch’tibello to win a two and a half mile hurdle. He has been undone by both Lisnaager Oscar and Paisley Park this year.

We are going to consider LISNAGAR OSCAR as well for the shortlist, because he’s such a good hurdler.

He signed off for last season with that great victory at the Stayers’ Hurdle (Grade 1) at the Cheltenham Festival, from a 50/1 SP. On his repaprance run he was 4th of 8 at Wetherby at the end of October. He should be fitter for htat

We have HILL SIXTEEN as the current 5/2 market leader for this handicap hurdle at Newbury* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 06:35 GMT on Thursday, 26th November 2020). This is the last race in today’s horse racing tips.

Hill Sixteen knocked out a win on his reappearance nine days ago. That was at Ffos Las and smashed the field by 46 lengths in a non-contest. That was on his first start for his new yard and it’s hard to ignore that.

Hill Sixteen is coming up on trip here but he looks well treated and is easily the one that sets the standard.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

DELL’ ARCA is likely to be a threat in the field as well. He has gone from strength to strength this season and is sitting on a hat-trick.

He’s in great heart at the moment, but will be challenged by the extra 6lb. His wins for this campaign have come at Aintree and Newbury, with Fergus Gillard on his back, who stays with the ride.

We think that NEVILLE’S CROSS is worth another look. He was last out in a Pertemps qualifier where he finished down in sixth.

Before that he had scored in his two previous runs for this season. He opened the season with a success at Uttoxeter and then put in a brilliant shift to win at Hereford. Neville’s Cross retains a lot of ability and should be a player.
