The race favourite for this sprint is TOTAL COMMITMENT at 9/4* (betting odds recorded 18:18 GMT on Thursday, 4th March 2021 at Bet365).

It has been a strong form shown by the five-year-old this season and a recent win here at Lingfield saw him win his 6th race on the flat.

That latest effort was two weeks ago and a career-best.

Total Commitment is really thriving at the moment and likely to show very well again. He is up 2lb from his last effort

UK Racing Odds & Tips

RECON MISSION will likely pique interest as well as he collected a win at the venue three races ago.

That was at the 5f trip. He took a respectable enough third last time out at Chelmsford City and he will likely push this field with pace.

REQUINTO DAWN should be a player in the field as well having won three of his last five. Two races ago he scored a very good win at Southwell, his second success of the season.

He was a bit off-colour on his follow up 14 days ago back at the same venue.

Requinto Dawn has a lot on his plate with this mark, but if brings his best, place claims should be there.

There has been excellent consistent form from him this season, having been in the frame in all five starts without having managed to pick up a win.

He has been over course and distance this season which yielded a second-place finish. He is only 2lb up from his most recent C&D in December.

EST ILLLIC needs to bounce back after missing a hattrick chance at Doncaster in a Grade 2 effort last time out. He was outclassed by Shiskin in that one.

But the drop in grade does make him a threat here as he looks to add to seasonal victories at Banger and Doncaster.

DEFI SACRE gets the cheekpieces back on and piques some interest.

It has been back to back third-place finishes for him and seems to be heading back in the right direction. Defi Sacre is a course and distance winner and should bring place claims.

PRUDHOMME is the 7/2 favourite for this contest* (betting odds recorded 18:18 GMT on Thursday, 4th March 2021 at Bet365).

He will be looking to add to a win that he took a course and distance in December. That was the last time that he was in action.

It was a narrow win there for Prudhomme but the 5lb rise doesn’t look insurmountable at all and we’d expect Prudhomme to be right back in the mix.

ZALVADOS has potential in this one as well as he scored over course and distance on his most recent run as well.

He has not been the most consistent of performers, but there have been signs in his last couple that he is starting to put things together better.

A repeat performance level should get Zalvados close.

POGUE looks like a fascinating prospect for this race having claimed the runners-up spot on both efforts this season.

The most recent one was three months ago and at course and distance.

He was a faller on his latest trip which was at course and distance. But he looks like he’s ready to tackle a 3m trip.

There has been slow and steady progress for him this season for his new yard in handicaps. That having been said, there are better options for us elsewhere.

HOWLING MILAN was at course and distance 12 days ago when he produced an eye-catching run to take second place.

The step-up in trip to the 3m trip there really suited him well and there’s a big chance that he’ll deliver another strong run from the same mark.

Howling Milan is one for the shortlist at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 18:18 GMT on Thursday, 4th March 2021 at Bet365).

There has been form from PRESENT CHIEF this season, enough to suggest that he has a big chance in this one.

He claimed a double earlier this season and he’s taken a big jump forward in handicapping form.

On his penultimate run, he was at course and distance and got himself in the frame.

There’s been good form and was finishing well at Musselburgh last time out.

He scored at Warwick just seven days on his latest run and that was a good time posted in it as well. T

here is a 7lb penalty that One More Fleurie has for Friday.

But he was keeping on very stronger in that win as he got himself off the mark. His yard is in form and he could prove tough to beat.

BOOTLEGGER is the obvious main challenger in this one as he goes for a new year.

He collected a January win here at Doncaster and is only 1lb up in the ratings from that effort.

It has been back to back third-place finishes for him in recent form, nothing majorly threatening, but a return to Doncaster and perhaps a shakeup from the new yard could feature Bootlegger.

TOP UP THE FASHION may not be far away in the contest as he gets the blinkers on for the first time.

He was second at Fakenham in a handicap in November he will have to shrug off a three-month absence, but he can’t totally be ruled out of this one from a 2lb lower mark.

He is a three-time course and distance winner, the most recent of which was in October last year.

Buniann was back in action here for his latest effort which was a month ago.

There was another good run from him in that one to take second place.

That form has been franked since and as Buniann is only up 2lb, there are strong claims.

RAASEL may be worth having a look at as well for this fixture on his third run for Mick Appleby.

The hood is going on for the first time in this one and he steps onto the Tapeta for the first time as well.

Raasel does need a bounce back after a poor effort at Lingfield 13 days ago.

DUKE OF FIRENZE looks to be the other obvious selection here. He is just 3lb up in the ratings than he was when he won at Southwell on his penultimate start.

He followed that up with a decent enough effort under a penalty at course and distance 10 days ago. Duke Of Firenze poses a threat.

He is well handicapped here and will be looking for a cleaner run that he got at course and distance last time out.

He was badly hampered in that run 17 days ago and finished fourth.

But he is still a big player in his field as he looks to get off the mark for the season.

DEVIL’S ANGEL is our 4/1 selection as a horse racing betting tip* (betting odds recorded 18:18 GMT on Thursday, 4th March 2021 at Bet365).

There was a good third place for him on his reappearance run 17 days ago at course and distance.

He is a former course and distance winner and was only just touched off from getting another recently on what was his first run in four months.

STRONG POWER is worth a look as well. His most recent success came in October last year and hasn’t quite been back at that level since.

But there was a solid enough effort at Wolverhampton from him 16 days ago when he finished in midfield after being poorly placed.

Not to be discounted if he has a strong run.
