Today’s horse racing tips for Monday blend some flat handicap action from Wolverhampton with some national hunt picks from Taunton and Ludlow.

DEMACHINE easily gets on the shortlist for this contest after having a nice return to action 44 days ago.
He landed a fifth place in a very competitive Ladbrokes Trophy in that one.
Demachine had shaped well throughout the contest but was never going to break the top three.
But after a run of such encouragement, and coming down 2lb in the ratings as well, there should be further improvement made by Demachine over the fences.
QUICK WAVE is not one to be written out of this one as she arrives back into action after having had a wind op. That could propel her forward a bit.
Quick Wave will defy a long break here not having run since Sandown last March.
She did claim a very good mares’ chase success at Catterick last winter.
CASTLE ROBIN got off the mark at the first time of asking when he went to Exeter in November.
His follow up to that wasn’t the greatest however as he was well held in a fourth palace finish at Wetherby a month ago.
But he’s lightly raced and may be worth another look over the fences.

KHAN should pose a threat in this contest as his yard has been in great shape this season.
Khan himself has won two of his last five runs and was right in the frame two weeks ago at Fontwell over the hurdles in December.
He will be looking to pick up the fourth win of the season on Monday, and Khan has been in good form for a while now.
ONE FOR YOU could have possibilities in this one as he looks for a little revival after a mistake at Newbury 45 days ago.
He eventually finished seventh after not getting a clear effort.
But One For You won his first two efforts over the hurdles and can’t be dismissed lightly.
RACEFACEMCDOUGALL is another interesting one to consider for the shortlist in this contest as well.
He completed a hattrick last season, three of five wins that he picked up during the campaign.
His reappearance this season was a total mess, but Ratfacemcdougall was well back on track when fourth three weeks ago at Haydock after a wind op.
He has now returned to his last winning mark as well.

AGGY WITH IT is one to consider in this very competitive handicap hurdle action from Taunton on Monday.
She is a course and distance winner, which happened last season.
Aggy With It picked up three wins in the previous campaign.
She will have to defy a long break of 10 months but looks as if she has a lot more to come in this sphere if she is tuned up.
ARRIVEDERCI is another who returns from a break of 10 months on Monday.
The last time he was seen he claimed a very good third place in an Ascot Handicap Hurdle.
Arrivederci looks to be on a very workable mark for his return.
There has been a wind op for him during the break as well, and place claims are not unreasonable.
LEONCAVALLO has been in the frame in each of his last four runs. He keeps knocking on the door, looking for his first win since 2020.
The latest of those runs for him was a month ago in a Doncaster effort.
The fact that Leoncavallo comes back at an unchanged mark makes him a threat.

QUEEN OF THE COURT could be one to keep an eye on as she drops 5lb. That has to potentially leave her on a threatening mark.
She was last seen 11 days ago with a fourth-place finish in a handicap effort here at Taunton.
That was the chase debut for her and it was encouraging enough. The winning pointer could be challenged.
FEDORA will make her chasing debut on Monday and the former winning pointer could pose a threat.
This will be her first run since a handicap hurdle fifth-place finish at Huntingdon in March last year. There’s potential there.
YOUNG O’LEARY perhaps has the pick of the form in this field. He has been in the frame the last two times.
With a winning record at Taunton to boot, there is a chance that he could push on from a good third from a Wincanton Handicap Chase effort a month ago.
The extra distance should help him feature.

MY BROTHER MIKE will likely be well supported for this effort as he is a former course and distance winner.
It was four wins that he collected last year and he starts his 2022 year with the chance at completing a hattrick.
The latest of those wins for My Brother Mike was at Bath 84 days ago. He should enter the frame coming down on a trip.
FENNAAN has the first run for Michael Appleby on Monday and has some strong claims for this effort.
With the cheekpieces on for the first time, he took a seventh-place finish at Newcastle, running well below his best.
Looking back at his form, he’s on a very workable mark for a top yard.
UNIVERSAL EFFECT is the other one that is shortlisted for this effort. She won both runs last year, the second of those a course and distance effort in January.
That was a narrow win by a nose, but she got there to complete a double.
If she comes out of the gate strongly fresh, then there’s no reason to underestimate her chances on Monday.

ATIYAH is a former course and distance winner and was in good form with a fourth palace finish at Southwell three weeks ago.
That followed a break of three months away, so Atiyah should be sharper for the effort. So she books her place on the shortlist for horse racing betting.
CHARMING KID is another of the course and distance winners and the latest win at this venue was in August.
He too was in form when last seen, taking a fifth-place finish in a Southwell handicap.
Charming Kid isn’t to be dismissed on the back of that.
THE DALEY EXPRESS is a course and distance, that success at the venue happened in November last year.
He was back at C&D on his latest, which was three weeks ago.
But he finished at the back of the pack after finishing himself poorly placed. The Daley Express is better than that result.
With a course and distance win under his belt and a very good second at Southwell a week ago, OOH IS IT warrants respect too along with HURAIZ who went well recently at that same venue.
