Today’s Horse Racing Tips & Odds – Monday, 16th August 2021

The start of a new week of action begins with today’s horse racing tips from Windsor and Bangor-on-Dee.

It’s six races that we are looking at, half of those are from over the jumps at Bangor-on-Dee while it is all flat handicap action from Winsdor.

We start things off at the latter venue as we cast an eye over the best of today’s horse racing tips for Monday, 16th August 2021.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is an extremely wide open and competitive market as the horse racing odds currently show.

THE PRINCES POET took a win over course and distance in June and could have a say in this one on his return to Windsor.

The Princes Poet has William Buick booked for the rise and has done reasonably well in defeat in his last two efforts.

Our outright tip is going to be HAN SOLO BERGER who has fallen to a very dangerous mark now. He was last in action two weeks ago with a respectable finish at Chelmsford City.

On the top of this class, Han Solo Berger can’t be dismissed and this is a good chance for him to return to winning ways.

THE DALEY EXPRESS is the other one for the shortlist. He was narrowly beaten by Bellevarde over course and distance two weeks ago.

But The Daley Express returns on better terms as he faces that rival again. So we expect that to help him push on to get into the thick of things.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

GLEN ESK brings plenty of hot form to the table and gets the nod as a horse racing tip at 2/1* (betting odds recorded 20:32 GMT on 15th August 2021 at William Hill).

He completed a hattrick last time out and interestingly all three of those successes have been by no more than a neck.

He looks more than capable of bigger, more comfortable scores than that.

Glen Esk still looks to have further to come and is on a good mark. He has also won twice over course and distance before.

LADY RESET definitely rates as a threat here as she switches back to the flat. She was over the hurdle at Stratford 18 days ago.

But it’s been two wins in four on the flat for her this season and she looks to bring strong claims to the table.

The final selection is PRINCE OF HARTS who did well on a drop in trip 11 days ago at Sandown. That was a third-place finish there.

Oisin Murphy is a boost for Prince Of Harts, who is a former course winner. He, once again, may not be too far away from a return to winning form.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

KABRIT has to warrant big respect in horse racing betting for this one at a quote of 2/1* (betting odds recorded 20:32 GMT on 15th August 2021 at William Hill).

He is very much on the up at the moment and he is sitting on a hat-trick chance. The latest of his successes happened three weeks ago at Uttoxeter.

The assessor has given him an extra 5lb to work with, but Kabrit looks worth following to continue his unbeaten form over the fences.

WISHFULL DREAMING is one to keep an eye on in this contest. He is 4lb better off against resurgent veteran MR MAFIA who he lost to at Market Rasen on a 3m trip on his latest.

Wishfull Dreaming changes headgear as well and has every chance of putting in a bold show.

Given that 12-year-old MR MAFIA has found some great form this season, who scored at Market Rasen two weeks ago. That was his first win in two years.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

A good few of these bring some serious claims to the table for racing betting on Monday.

3/1 shot CALUM GILHOOLEY just gets the nod out of all of these after going close at Stratford and Cartmel in his last two* (betting odds recorded 20:32 GMT on 15th August 2021 at William Hill).

He has lacked a little luck, but regardless of that he has been on the up this season and shouldn’t be too far away. Calum Gilhooley is going in the right direction.

CATCHMEIFYOUCAN is sitting on a hat-trick chance. She has delivered back to back wins at Uttoxeter and Cartmel.

Catchmeifyourcan is coming up in grade for this one, so it is going to ask bigger questions of her. But she looks to be in good health right now.

The other with big form is DRUMLEE WATER who completed a hattrick a month ago in staying trips.

His latest effort saw him edge a win by a head at this distance and there’s no reason why he should not be in the frame.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

SIR TIVO poses a big threat in this race at a quote of 6/4* (betting odds recorded 20:32 GMT on 15th August 2021 at William Hill).

It’s been a rich form from him and he delivered a course and distance win last time out. He just got himself to the front and controlled everything from there.

Sir Tivo has been handed a 7lb rise for that recent C&D success, but he’s in such good shape he could well defy that.

The biggest threat to him in this field is probably going to be AWAY AT DAWN. The conditions suit him after a loss at Perth.

That was a reappearance run and his first go in this sphere. He could be better for the experience.

ROSE SEA HAS has been trickling along in decent competitive form. It has been back to back runner up spots from him.

He looks to be in decent enough shape at the moment having come down a reasonable long way in the weight.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

EL BORRACHO has to get himself in the mix in this one. He looks to be on a good mark for this hurdle action.

He has gone well over the bigger stuff this season, including taking a victory over the fences at Worcester in June.

Also expected to be in the mix is HURRICANE ALI who is on a hat-trick chance. He was last seen on the flat three weeks ago.

CHASAMAX is also on a hattrick. He has won a couple of times this season in a maiden and novice at this kind of distance.
