Today’s horse racing tips for Monday pulls in selections from three different venues. We are looking at Plumpton, Chelmsford City and Kempton.

So we have a nice blend of both flat and national hunt action going down.

ECHO WATT is the current 9/4 favourite for this Plumpton chase* (betting odds recorded 18:33 GMT on Sunday, 24th January 2021 at Bet365).

He will be looking to land a double for Richard Hobson after scoring at Bangor 11 days ago. That was a 3m gruelling trip in the mud.

Echo Watt comes up 4lb but should have a chance if he is in the same kind of mood.

The chaser looks to be heading in the right and that’s four wins in his last six starts.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SHANROE SANTOS is one to watch in this one as he is now on a career-low mark.

He has had one previous visit to Plumpton and he did run well on that occasion, taking second in the Sussex National.

It’s been a three-year wait for another win for him but he has had a couple of more encouraging runs this season.

The other to feature could be HUGO N’ TAZ who is up only 3lb from his last winning mark. That was at Market Rasen on his penultimate run of last season.

He comes back for the first time since a wind op and the blinkers are on as well.

There has been improving form from her this season having made a place finish in both efforts so far.

She didn’t get a clean run in a second-place finish at Lingfield 3 days ago.

But based on what she has already put on the board, she looks to have every chance of getting off the mark in this one.

RED CARPET QUEEN can’t be dismissed for this one. She was third over course and distance.

She takes a drop down to a career-low mark for this one as her form has tanked a bit.

But a return to familiar settings and a fair old mark could be enough to spark her into life.

But it is THE GOOD TING who gets the nod from us having scored at Kempton a couple of weeks ago. She is the only one in this field to have broken maiden.

That came on that Kempton trip and she took on a 5lb rise after that career-best effort.

Baby Cham is at an attractive mark now having slid down the ratings. She was at Kempton last time out and ran well for this from this rating.

PUFFIN ISLAND looks a good fit for this contest as she steps up to the 1m mark.

She opened the season with a fifth-place finish in a field of 12 at Kempton just under two weeks ago.

Puffin Island still put in an eye-catching run there but never managed to get the right position. This is a lot of extra distance for her, but the progress is exciting.

EYES is the final name to put on the shortlist for this fascinating contest. She delivered a win at course and distance 16 days ago in a seller.

There was a fourth-place finish for him last time out, batting well in a field of thirteen to get that very credible finish.

Ben Curtis hops in the saddle to take over from an apprentice.

This is a much tougher fixture for the Michael Appleby-trainer gelding. But the extra trip probably will help him as he found 5f a bit too quick for him last time out.

IESHA is a threat in this contest as well. She picked up a score here at Kempton last month.

The latest run that she had was over course and distance as well, scoring a good third-place finish from a field of 12 in a handicap.

The course winner should be respected.

VITALLINE scored a course and distance win in November. He hasn’t been back near that kind of form which means that he has slipped back to that same winning mark.

Coming back up in tip against for his Kempton return, there should be a bold run after a good third at Southwell on his appearance where a chance of tactics seemed to suit.

The son of Frankel picked up a win on his latest run, scoring on his debut for Archie Watson. That was a minor event success at Linfield on a 7f trip a couple of weeks ago.

There was plenty in hand from Going Places who scored by 4 lengths. This is the handicap debut and has a big chance with Hollie Doyle taking the ride.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

REACTION TIME may be worth a look as well. He was a very comfortable winner on his latest run, which was at Southwell.

That was in a minor event and therefore this is tougher ask of him. Further improvement is going to be needed, but the light reached winner may not be too far away.

Our other selection for the shortlists is EQUITATION who hasn’t won any of his last eleven runs now.

He was last seen on his reappearance, taking a sixth-place finish in a field of nine here at Kempton three weeks ago.

Equitation’s yard is bang in form and he should enter calculations.

He goes off a 6lb higher mark but is likely to feature strongly.

MORLAIX is going to be a big player in this contest. Earlier this month he went to Chelmsford on the back of a 14-month absence and took third place.

So there were very encouraging signs from him and he came into his handicap debut on a return to 7f.
