Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We have action from Pontefract first up for Monday’s horse racing tips. Our first selection is THE BLUE BOWER.

She was third at Kempton 19 days ago and started to put together a big challenge in the final furlong.

There wasn’t enough left in the race to get her closer, but it was a fast finish from her. A better-timed attack could leave her taking the spoils in this one.

THE BLUE BOWER is a 7/2 quote* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

She comes up 1lb but that’s wiped out by a 5lb claimer, which could be a huge advantage.

There are obvious claims from ARAMIS GREY who has had a fantastic season with two wins in four. She won at Chelmsford City 12 days ago and is easily on the shortlist.

So too AL SIMMO who is seeking her hattrick. She comfortably won at Nottingham 26 days ago on her latest effort.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

The field runs pretty deep here for claims. We are going to take a chance on WATER’S EDGE at 8/1* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

There is plenty of course form, as he has won three times at course and distance. He put in a decent effort in an Epsom handicap last time out.

Water’s Edge notably comes down in grade here and with Oisin Murphy in the saddle, receives a boost there. It’s been enough form from Water’s Edge to suggest that he can get close in this one.

RAINBOW JET is another that could show well. She gets a 6lb rise after getting off the mark at Haydock on her latest run.

That was also a reappearance. That was easily a career best from Rainbow Jet and she will look to push on from there.

The other for the shortlist has to be PATIENT DREAM who bagged an opening win on reappearance. He was fourth at Epsom last time out, but the race didn’t play out in his favour.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We fancy HARSWELL DUKE for this one as our 4/1 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

The conditions look suitable for him and he only just missed out on a double last time out. Last month he scored at Musselburgh.

On his follow up he went at Ayr on his handicap debut, but found only an improving one too good for him on the day.

That was on fast ground but at a shorter distance. We think he can return to winning ways.

FRANKELIO warrants some respect here. He is a former course and distance winner, a success in 2020 from this same mark actually.

The other player in the field that we think warrants a place on the shortlist is DELGREY BOY. He has been handed a 3lb rise after a close second at York on his last run.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We are dropping right down to a three-horse field for our next racing tip today. We think that the favourite MICK PASTOR can be easily opposed.

COURTANDBOULD is the tip at 11/10 so not a bad option* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He receives 6lb from Mick Pastor and that’s why we are swinging things to his favour. There was a good progressive campaign from Courtandbould last time out.

Courtandbould has had a reappearance run, getting action in an Aintree Handicap Hurdle 45 days ago after 8 months ago. He needed that by the looks of it.

There could be a profitable switch now to the fences for him.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

Next up as a horse racing tip is PHOEBUS LESCRIBAA who is the 11/4 favourite* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He opened the season with a second here at Southwell from a big 33/1 SP. He followed that up with an immediate return to the venue and scored on a 2m trip.

So he comes up on a trip and still warrants a look. Any further and we may be sidestepping supporting him. He has collected 2m 3f victories before.

We would look at TAYZAR for the shortlist as well who seems to be on a nice mark. There were a couple of successes for him last season.

At Uttoxeter on his reappearance he earned a fifth place finish in a field of eight over the hurdles. He’ll be better for that and the handicapper has been lenient enough.

DAVE AND BERNIE should pique interest even though he had a shocker last time out. The tongue tie goes on for the first time and is far better than his last appearance.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

It has to be the current 4/1 favourite ONE NIGHT STAND for us in this contest* (betting odds recorded 20:06 GMT on June 27th 2021 at Ladbrokes).

That’s because of an impressive victory that he took at Nottingham earlier this month. He was already looking progressive last season.

That victory has seen him potentially having moved on to a new level so he is worth supporting.

There has been an 8lb rise handed to him, but he looks as if he can handle that. ONE NIGHT STAND is a former winner at Windsor as well.

ZIM BABY may have a chance in this one, having taken back-to-back second place finishes. She benefits from Oisin Murphy taking charge.

Zim Baby won a couple of handicaps last season and looks to have remained in very good shape.

PUNCHBOWL FLYER has claims as well as he returns from a credible handicap effort at Royal Ascot.

That was beyond him, but the course and distance winner should find the going a lot easier here. He won his two runs prior to going to Ascot so he has every chance of going close.
