Today’s horse racing tips for Monday come from Ludlow and Newcastle to kick off the new week.
There is plenty of Class 3 action around which is the top level of the day and most of that is from Ludlow.

SPARTAN FIGHTER warrants plenty of respect in this contest, especially with six former course wins under his belt.
The latest of those Newcastle scores happened in March.
He missed a hattrick chance with a fourth place in a handicap here at the venue a couple of weeks ago.
Spartan Fighter stays at the same mark as he was for that effort, so should find himself heavily involved in the contest.
BLESS HIM can’t be ruled out of things in this one as he is also a former winner at Newcastle and comes down in class.
He has put incredible runs the last twice which suggests that he is trending towards something positive in potentially ending his long winless streak.
ULSHAW BRIDGE is right there with his form at the moment after scoring at the course and distance earlier this month.
He has started to get back up on the up with his overall form and therefore warrants some respect in this contest which includes a few C&D winners.

BRIEF AMBITION is the favourite for this one after scoring a couple of times over the timbers in the previous campaign.
He has taken that form forward over the fences, winning his first two in this sphere, and the latter of those was at course and distance.
Brief Ambition should have a reasonable chance in this one as he won last time out having been well in command.
ATHOLL STREET looks like he needs the extra distance that he is going to get under his belt on Monday.
It’s been back to back second-place finishes for him so far over the fences, but neither of those contests suited him.
The extra emphasis on stamina over speed puts him right in this and he comes in for a top yard as well.
MUCKAMORE has scored twice over the fences this season. The first of those was at Wetherby in November and then last month at Leicester.
He followed up that Leicester score with another excellent run, having gone close at Huntingdon since.
Muckamore deserves his place in this very competitive, yet small, lineup.

BALKO SAINT should find the going a little easier in this one than he did at Kelso last time out in the Morebattle Hurdle.
Balko Saint did take his tally to three over the hurdles with a score at Kempton in October in a small field for a novice contest.
WILD MAX should present a stern challenge in this one, despite not having claimed a win this season.
He has run well the last twice over the hurdles, notably producing a very good effort at Newbury three weeks ago and he’s down from that mark.
MIDNIGHTS LEGACY has been useful on the flat and opened his account over the hurdles at the first time of asking.
That was in the autumn at Plumpton in a novice hurdle. Midnight’s Legacy looks to be a lenient mark and should shake off a poor effort on the flat in his latest.

BOBHOPEORNOHOPE dominated at the course and distance last time out, an extremely eye-catching urn.
He will have to handle an 8lb rise for Monday but looks to be getting it firmly together over the bigger stuff at the moment with two wins in three.
REAL STEEL looks like being a tough competition in this one and the former Grade 2 winner has lowered his sights again.
He’s well down in the weights from the heights of that Grade 2 win in the 2019/20 season and could be on a threatening mark.
TIDE TIMES scored at course and distance on his latest effort, which was a very similar contest to this one, so is capable of making his presence felt.
Tide Times is under a 7lb penalty for that recent success which saw him get off the mark in this sphere. He may well be able to handle that.

HILLFINCH has a chance at making some further strides as she comes into handicapping for the first time.
She won a maiden at Huntington a month ago, for the second success over the hurdles.
Hillfinch wasn’t under any stress there and looks set for better challenges.
GRAN LUNA won at Newbury in December and has followed up with a couple of good efforts back at that track.
She stays at the same mark as she continues to build some positive form for her top yard. Grand Luna comes up a long way in this one.
LITTERALE CI is no forlorn hope in this small either, as her yard is going well at the moment.
She was last seen back in October when she didn’t have the greatest of time at Uttoxeter but that was a very strong handicap. The conditions may put her close.

TRUE MASON looks to end a long winless streak that goes back to the summer of 2018.
There was decent course and distance effort from him on his latest, taking a runner up spot and running on.
A follow up isn’t totally guaranteed but it was an effort to build on.
ATHOLLBLAIR BOY is a four-time course and distance and can’t be counted out of this at all.
He was last in action three weeks ago with a third at this course.
There have been some solid pieces of form in defeat for him recently.
I KNOW HOW scored a course and distance victory on his latest, which was just 12 days ago.
There has been an extra 4lb given to him for Monday.
But that win pushed some recent positive form on further and can make his presence felt in a wide-open contest.
