DEFINITE DILEMMA is the current 5/2 market leader for this contest* (betting odds recorded 18:52 GMT on Sunday, 28th March 2021 at William Hill). He has been rattling the crossbar this season.

There has been some steady progress over the fences for him in recent weeks for his new yard. Definite Dilemma was second at Fontwell just under three weeks ago on his latest run, not having been in the greatest of positions.

But he is on a very good mark and combined with a little shaving off of distance, he should have another good run here at Wincanton.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

KEEP MOVING looks a big threat because he is a previous course and distance winner. Earlier this month he had his reappearance run here at the venue and claimed fourth.

He’ll probably be a bit sharper after that and comes in as our 4/1 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 18:52 GMT on Sunday, 28th March 2021 at William Hill).

The other for the shortlist is KAUTO THE KING who may feel refreshed coming back to Wincanton. There have been a few disappointing runs from him since scoring a C&D here in October. He has the ability in him, but needs to step it up to score that second chase success.

She was a faller on her latest run which was in a Catterick mares’ noises 19 days ago. But on her first two goes over the hurdles she only found one too good on each occasion.

If Sashenka had not gone down two from home, she likely would have gotten off the mark at Catterick, because the win was there for the taking on the back of an excellent effort.

TRIPLE NICKLE definitely is one to keep inside for this contest, who won three times on the flat. She showed that she can take to the hurdles just as well as she scored in a course and distance novices’ event 19 days ago.

SWEET ADARE is top weight for this one, but she has been eased 3lb regardless. She comes back into calmer waters here after producing a credible fourth place finish at Newbury in January. That was a much stronger race than this, so she needs to be respected for the contest.

He scored at course and distance in a novice event in September and he got that win at a canter as well. It will be interesting to see him back in hurdling.

There was a lot of action for Bashful Boy over the winter on the flat, so he should be nice and sharp after taking a fourth over the timbers at Newbury recently on his handicap debut.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

TAMARIS is worth keeping onside for this contest as well. He makes his handicap debut here and looks to be well treated.

Since he was last seen he has been gelded and after some very solid flat form, he may be lightly handled by the assessor. So that should give him a chance as he has big scope ahead of him in handicapping.

The other that we are going to consider for horse racing tips is PEACE PREVAILS. He won at Plumpton on a 2m maiden this season.

Peace Prevails moved to handicapping on his next race and didn’t quite get up to speed in that one. But a bounce back performance is a reasonable assumption here given his Plumpton performance.

Heading up the market in this one at Stratford is FLEMCARA at 6/4* (betting odds recorded 18:52 GMT on Sunday, 28th March 2021 at William Hill).

He has upped his game recently to get back to winning ways at Doncaster in December. He has since continued in some very good heart.

The most recent run that Flemcara had was at Exeter 6 weeks ago when he claimed a place finish. That was a wonderful effort at class 2, so he’s been eased back for this and should be right there.

BANIXTOWN GLORY piques interest in horse racing betting here. She is back down 2lb after the handicapper caught up with her over Christmas. She posted a fifth place finish in a Kempton hurdle in December on her latest run.

Banixtown Glory has won three times this season, but may need to slide a little more in the ratings to find another.

FONTLEY HOUSE may be worth a look as he has fallen below his last winning mark. That is on the back of a poor season from him. Fontley House’s yard is in form at the moment which should give him a good chance at performing.

He is looking to build on a course and distance win that he took on his last effort, which was just nine days ago. He is now under a penalty for that success which means he will need to find a little more.

But he has been shaping really well this season and if he turns up in the same mood, he may have a decent chance of defying that 5lb extra.

He is back for the first time since a wind op and he gets the cheek pieces on for the first time. He is down below his previous winning mark as well. So those are factors which could see a good strong run coming up from him.

POSTMAN is the other we are putting on the shortlist. He will be looking to bounce back after falling at Fakenham. In January Postman claimed a place finish on a 2m effort at Leicester. He has struggled a little since then, but should have place claims.

She has been in the frame in each of her last three runs, each of those listed events, so she should be right there in the mix in this class 3 contest.

This is the handicap debut for her over the hurdles and she warrants some serious consideration. She looks like a big player for Alan King.

ROCCO may have a say in this one as well. He comes down in distance after just being beaten out on a 3m trip in his latest effort. That’s two second place finishes from him in his last three and therefore should have a say.

Another of the consistent performers in this field is BARON DE MIDLETON who was third at Kelso on his last effort. He had the cheek piece on for the first time in that one and obviously didn’t suit as they stay off.

There has been a wind op since that latest run for Baron De Midleton, which could perk him up just that little bit more.
