It’s pretty much a minor day of action around the UK for today’s horse racing tips.

There are six selections and those are pulled from handicap action at Pontefract and Wolverhampton.

Race Preview

ALPHA CRU has won three of four appearances this season. The first two of those at the start of the campaign were over course and distance.

The most recent win that Alpha Cru claimed was in a Hamilton handicap a couple of weeks ago. He should be well in the frame.

UNDER FOX came up 4lb for a win at Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, getting the better of Tromso on the day.

Under Fox, helped by the addition of blinkers recently is going well enough to put himself in the picture.

EMINENT HIPSTER is another one for the shortlist in this handicap as he makes a return to a more favourable 1 mile.

He did have a good run at Sandown from 1lb higher on his latest one, and that has proven to be a strong race. So claims are there for Richard Hannon’s colt.

ROBEAM can’t be counted out of this one after picking up a score at Wolverhampton three weeks ago.

He seemed to be well in control of what he was doing in that 2m race that didn’t carry a great pace really.

Robeam was comfortable enough to suggest that he can make his presence felt again.

THE RESDEV WAY was in fine nick on her last run, which was at Wolverhampton in April. On the move back to turf she is 1lb down from that mark.

The victory for The Resdev Way saw her end a long winless streak of form. But if she’s anywhere near that kind of level, she should have a chance in this.

FIRST ACCOUNT is arguably the pick of the bunch as he is handicapped very well. He is a three-time maiden but the trips haven’t suited him.

Coming into high handicap debut now with the visor back on, he heads up the horse racing betting.

WYNFORD has won two of his last five. He has produced back to back solid runs in defeats and is not to be overlooked.

FAUVETTE is one of the front runners in horse racing tips for this wide-open handicap. The grey comes up another 5lb after a score at Yarmouth recently.

That was a similar kind of contest and Fauvette was as cosy as you like in it. She is still low mileage and has a decent chance of being in the mix again.

MOTAWAAZY completed a hattrick a month ago over course and distance. That was in a 12-runner handicap and there are big claims by him on Monday.

He will have an extra 3lb to work with, but that’s five wins under his belt this season. Motawaazy is just thriving at the moment.

PATSY FAGAN is another in this handicap field with big claims. He was third at Hamilton in a handicap a couple of weeks ago.

There have been a couple of wins for him in his last four runs, the most recent of those at Lingfield in March. Patsy Fagan cannot be overlooked.

BREATH OF SUN could feature in this one as he makes a return to a 7f trip on the all-weather.

He is a big 9lb down from his handicap debut mark back in April at Kempton.

This looks like a trappy handicap, and while he is unproven on the Tapeta, he is a fair all-weather performer.

WIZARD D’AMOUR didn’t go well at Leicester on his latest effort, which was a couple of months ago. But he’s had a nice break and has since been gelded too.

He comes down 1lb for this return to action and given that he was a course and distance winner in June, he has claims.

BEHELD has had a consistent season, having filled out a place finish in four of her five runs this season.

It’s reasonable to assume that she will be close on her Tapeta debut, after a good showing to take second at Kempton three weeks ago.

ON THE RIGHT TRACK should be set for another strong run at Wolverhampton. He generally goes well on the Tapeta.

On The Right Track will have some extra work as he comes up 4lb for a score at Goodwood a month ago. That’s two wins in his last three and has a good chance of following up.

INVINCIBLE SOLDIER also won last time out. This is a longer trip and so there is no proven stamina from him at this.

But he did look to be an improvement model a month ago when he scored here at Wolverhampton at 1m 1f by almost three lengths.

SUNDAY MAY scored in a relatively weak contest three weeks ago at Kempton. She did do the job asked of her however to score by four and a half lengths.

She has won at Lingfield this season as well. More will be demanded from a slightly harsh 7lb rise, but place claims could be there.

The final action for horse racing tips today comes from Wolvherhampton. It’s wide open as well. I’M WATCHING YOU is the first for the shortlist.

He has scored twice this year on a 6f trip here, which does give him some claims. On his latest I’m Watching You went well to take fourth at Ffos Las. He should be in it.

NACHO is another that warrants respect as he moves away from the turf in his last two. It’s back to back second place from him on those turf efforts.

There was a course and distance win for Nacho back in the summer as well, so is likely to be a big contender.

JORVIK PRINCE is the final shortlist selection for horse racing betting. He bumped into a good progressive one last time out.

He was a second-place finisher there. He’s set to drop 7lb soon, so Michael Appleby sends him out quickly before that. Jorvik Prince is a three-time course and distance winner.
