Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We are pulling straight towards the 15/8 favourite MUMMY BEAR as our horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:57 GMT on July 4th 2021 at William Hill).

She is looking to follow up on a successful run at Newmarket just over two weeks ago. For that victory Mummy Bear comes up 3lb.

That was a return to sprinting for Mummy Bear who kept on well over the distance. She’ll be looking for her third career victory on Monday.

Others to watch in the market include SHOOT TO KILL who has been performing well in defeat recently and probably won’t be far away.

The final shortlist selection will be SHAMAROUSKI who is an interesting player coming onto the turf, especially being a former C&D winner.

Our horse racing tip for this one is RIDGEWAY at 11/4* (betting odds recorded 21:57 GMT on July 4th 2021 at William Hill).

He has been slammed with a 10lb rise after dominating a small handicap field at Lingfield a month ago.

That was easily a career best and the cheekpieces being on for the first time certainly paid dividends as he got the score from 5/1.

This is obviously a little tougher with such a bump, but we are having trouble seeing who in the field takes him down.

KETTLE HILL is right there at the head of the market, but he was very disappointing on his handicap debut at Redcar. So there are question marks there, but the extra trip could help.

Another that would have to be kept on side will be URBAN VIOLET who takes a drop in grade following a run at Royal Ascot last month.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is a bigger field and there are a couple here with some obvious claims. One of them is ARRANMORE who performed well last month.

On his penultimate run, Arranmore collected a victory at Carlisle and as long as the ground isn’t too testing, should be right in this. So too GAINSBOURGH who moves to handicap with some good form under his belt.

But we are going down the market for a 9/1 horse racing tip that is RUM RUNNER* (betting odds recorded 21:57 GMT on July 4th 2021 at William Hill).

He was beaten at Carlisle by Arranmore recently, but is now a massive 7lb better off than that particular rival. So that has to give him a big chance at turning the tables here.

We have to take a look at CLARENDON HOUSE who looks like such a big prospect at 5/4* (betting odds recorded 21:57 GMT on July 4th 2021 at William Hill).

It has been two wins from two for him as he just breezed to a victory at Bath last month. That was a weak field to be fair.

So this is looking like a bit of a tougher challenge for him, but there’s no denying the talent that he has. Coming into handicapping should unleash even more from him.

A SURE WELCOME should be there in the hunt as well as he is a former course and distance winner. It’s been two wins from five runs in 2021. He has the making of being a big threat.

So too CHARLIE FELLOWEWS who was second 9 days in a Chester handicap. He went very well in that race and could build upon that as he comes up 2lb.

She is looking to get off the mark but she should be heavily in the thick of things here.

There was an excellent third place finish from her three weeks ago in a big handicap field at Lingfield. She has more to offer from low in the weights.

VIVE LA DANSE looks a good challenger for the contest as well as he takes a drop of 1lb in the ratings.

He too is looking for his first victory. But there was a lot of encouragement on a fifth place at Lingfield last time out.

MISTER ALLEGRO is the other for the shortlist. He had a good run to a slightly shorter distance at Chepstow a couple of weeks ago.

That was a reappearance victory and he should be even sharper for Monday.
