It is the start of a new week of racing and there

So here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Monday, 7th February 2022.

HIDDEN DILEMMA has won twice over the hurdles before and both of those happened at Carlisle.

There is further course form for Hidden Dilemma as she took a runner-up spot in this contest two years ago.

A case can be made for GRAND TURINA who took a win in some heavy conditions last time out.

Grand Turina has been going well for a while now and returns 6lb up from that recent Wetherby score.

She is likely to make her presence felt in this small field and is boosted by a 10lb claimer.

LILY’S GEM is the other to consider for the shortlist in this small field. There could be more to come from her in handicapping.

Lily’s Gem is usually reliable enough. Although she hasn’t racked up as many wins as she perhaps should have, she may well have enough to challenge for the places.

Tip: GRAND TURINA 5/2

Ones to watch: Hidden Dilemma 11/2, Lily’s Gem 9/2

ZABEEL CHAMPION made a winning start over the timbers in November on a 2m trip at Leicester.

He didn’t’ quite push on for his follow up which resulted in a runner-up spot back at the same venue.

But his hurdles debut win and having been a very useful performer on the flat should give him a chance.

Zabeel Champion’s rating could be challenging.

MALPAS went close at Catterick in January. That saw him continue in some good form.

Malpas had opened his season back in October with a course and distance success here at Carlisle.

He has plenty of availability over the timbers and is a danger.

GLOBAL AGREEMENT is the final one to get on the shortlist as he could bounce back after a fall at Lingfield last month.

He was travelling well and would have been in the frame.

Global Agreement scored at Lingfield in December and followed up at Wetherby in January.

Tip: GLOBAL AGREEMENT 4/1

Ones to watch: Zabeel Champion 5/6, Malpas 10/3

BRANDISOVA could be a danger here as she comes up on a trip for what is her chasing debut.

She was second at Warwick in a novice hurdle on her latest run, just back at the end of December.

This will be a bigger test of her jumping ability, but she’s to not be discounted.

LILITH has rattled the crossbar the last twice and was well clear of everyone else in the field with her second-place finish at Wincanton a month ago.

It probably won’t be long before she gets off the mark over the fences and she’s shown plenty of promise in her five efforts so far.

BLEUE AWAY has been in the frame in five of her last six efforts, the only exception was when she pulled up at Taunton recently.

Something was not right on the day there in the blinkers.

A bounceback is not out of the question as she was coming along nicely in chasing before that. Bleue Away goes for a new yard on Monday.

Tip: BLEUE AWAY 20/1 e/w

Ones to watch: Brandisova 5/2, Lilith 11/4

CILAOS GLACE brings winning form to the table after a score at the course and distance two months ago.

That saw him get off the mark in chasing in a handicap fixture.

There has been a 6lb rise for him to deal with but looks in the kind of form to push on.

FOXBORO has gone well the last twice over the fences. The best of those was this place finish at Kempton last month.

The former flat and hurdles winner could have room for improvement to get involved.

Foxboro does get a 5lb claimer to help his cause.

THE FLYING SOFA should have big claims if he can build on a very solid effort at Lingfield last month.

While he was travelling well, at the same time he looks as if he needed to get that reappearance run under his belt.

He had been away for 9 months before that.

Tip: CILAOS GRACE 5/2

Ones to watch: The Flying Sofa 5/1, Foxboro 5/2

HAFEET ALAIN could take some beating in this handicap action at Wolverhampton on Monday.

He was second at Kempton a month ago and well clear of anyone behind him.

He comes up 3 lb but a score could well happen.

SYCAMORE claimed a win eleven days ago at Southwell in a race that really panned out for him.

He will get bigger challenges and one of them is carrying 4lb extra on Monday.

A follow could be tough but place claims should be there

FOX POWER is not the easiest to catch right, but he makes his reappearance here after having been away for about four months.

He is a previous course winner and will be having his first run for Michael Appleby.

If he’s in the mood, Fox Power is on a decent mark.

Tip: HAFEET ALAIN 4/6

Ones to watch: Fox Power 5/1, Sycamore 11/2

SHAMLAAN missed out on a hat trick chance with a performance that was well below par at Lingfield two and a half months ago.

The break may have been needed as he looks for a little revival.

On his penultimate run, Shamlaan did score very impressive at Lingfield.

AL AMEEN got off the mark on his reappearance run at Southwell in January. He followed that up at Lingfield in a minor event.

That saw him go well again in taking a runner up spot. Al Ameen takes on his handicap debut on Monday and has a chance.

ADAAY IN ASIA may have claims as he comes on to the Tapeta for the first time.

He scored at Leicester last Autumn and made a nice return from a break at Kempton a couple of weeks ago with a place finish.

Tip: SHAMLAAN 2/1

Ones to watch: Adaay In Asia 5/2, Al Ameen 11/4
