Today’s horse racing tips dip into a high-quality Saturday with some exciting Grade action to come from Cheltenham and Doncaster.

There are six horse races for the day, all pulled from those venues with one of the big highlights being the Unibet International Hurdle (Grade 2) from the former.

That is where we will start the day’s action.

So here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Saturday, 11th December 2021.

Race Preview

SONG FOR SOMEONE is likely to feature strongly at Cheltenham on the weekend. There was a good return made by him at Ascot two weeks ago.

Song For Someone took this race last year and should put up a stern defence of his crown.

That recent Ascot appearance was a Grade 2 in which he claimed second place in the Coral Hurdle.

SCEAU ROYAL is not that can be dismissed lightly however and is the other big player in this field.

It has been two wins from three of runs this season by him.

The move to the hurdles has seen him thrive this season, picking up wins in a Kempton Listed and a Grade 2 at Wincanton over the timbers.

He was well in touch with a third-place finish at the Fighting Fifth on his latest effort two weeks ago.

Sceau Royal is strong and versatile and should be right about there.

GUARD YOUR DREAMS should bring solid place claims to the table. He took a win here at Cheltenham on his reappearance, on a much longer trip.

But he was third in an Ascot Grade 2 behind Song For Someone on his latest.

While Guard Your Dreams is going to have a big job on his hands overturning that rival, he can be expected to put another bold run together.

13:50 Cheltenham Handicap Chase Horse Racing UK Tips

FARINET ended last season on a positive note with a victory at Sandown in a listed handicap effort.

That was back in March and it was his second run for a new yard too.

There has been a rise of 8lb for Farinet now as he returns to action. But he still looks like a strong player. He is a good, consistent one.

SILVER HALLMARK is worth considering for the shortlist as well for this one because he has had a reappearance run under his belt.

That was a credible fourth in a Carlisle listed chase. The lightly-raced chaser can get in this.

LALOR was third on his latest run a month ago. He is another smart chaser in this field and it was a nice return of form for him last time out.

That latest run for Lalor was here at Cheltenham in the Paddy Power Gold Cup last month. The cheekpieces go back in and he could get in the frame.

Another strong shortlist contender is CEPAGE is a good one from fresh.

He returns for the first time since having a run in the Ultima handicap at this venue in March.

Cepage is a stablemate of Farinet which puts an interesting twist. Which is the yard banking on more?

BEAKSTOWN is another who could get into this after a good effect at Aintree last month.

He’s from a top yard and that was a really encouraging reappearance from him.

We have a big gruelling test for novices to look at next over the hurdles at Cheltenham on Saturday.

BLAZING KHAL takes on rival GELINO BELLO again and the former is going to be well packed in horse racing betting, despite a 5lb penalty for his recent form.

It has been two wins from two over the hurdles from him this season and the latter of those was a big one.

That was the Grade 2 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle.

He is still open to a lot more improvement and is probably not going to be far away from extending his unbeaten form over the hurdles.

GELINO BELLO warrants plenty of respect and he is another that is just going to go and find more and more in this sphere.

The former bumper winner got off the mark in this sphere of his reappearance, landing a two and a half mile trip at Aintree in a maiden.

There was improved form by Gelino Bello with that runner-up spot to Blazking Khal in that Grade 2 contest here. Can he turn the tables, however?

CURRENT MOOD may prove to be the best of the rest as she has produced some very encouraging form.

She opened her hurdles life with back to back wins and weasel third behind Blazing Khal in that Cheltenham Grade 2.

She will have to dig a lot deeper for the win purposes, but warrants respect regardless.

Race Type: Grade 2 novices’ chase

Race Preview

This is a Grade 2 but one with a small field of just 3-runners. It’s worth a look through and THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE is the clear market leader for this one.

So that may make him a decent pick for a multi racing bet

. He has taken his jumping form to new levels this season and has taken back to back novice chase wins at Exeter and Cheltenham.

This actually is a very competitive field, but Threeunderthrufive still looks like the pick of the small bunch.

FANTASTIKAS was impressive when taking a chase debit win in a Lignified handicap 25 days ago. That was a very pleasing effort and should have more to offer.

EMITOM is going to need to dig deep in this one to pick up the victory. It’s been a winless run of three chase efforts from him.

So Emitom hasn’t delivered the form over the fences as the others have. There was a decent runner-up effort from him at Hexham three weeks ago in this sphere.

Tip: THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE 8/13

TAKEIT EASY has produced a fine season with two wins in four. He has continuously improved and has 4 wins from 7 handicap runs.

Takeit Easy picked up his latest win at Wetherby on what was his penultimate run.

He couldn’t quite follow up on a 2m Huntingdon effort a month ago, but once again ran very well.

SONIGINO has plenty of potential on his side for a top yard. He was third on his first run for Paul Nicholls three weeks ago.

This will be his handicap debut and Songino can make his presence felt in this one.

TOMMY’S OSCAR isn’t to be counted out of this at all. There was a big step forward with his form when he scored at Haydock three weeks ago.

There were four wins from him in his novice campaign and went well in the Scottish Champion Hurdle in April at the end of the previous campaign.

Tommy’s Oscar looks to be progressing very nicely.

14:40 Doncaster Juvenile Hurdle Horse Racing Tip

Race Type: Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle
Age: 3 year old plus

MAGISTRATO picked up a win at Chepstow on his yard debut this season for Paul Nicholls. The follow up was not quite as good, however.

He was a long way back at Cheltenham on his latest and that was against KNIGHT SALUTE who he opposes once again.

The big difference this time around is that Magistrato is 5lb better off against that rival.

KNIGHT SALUTE is thriving at the moment with three wins from three over the hurdles. The move from the flat has seen him go to a different level.

That Grade 2 Cheltenham win over Magistrato was excellent, so Knight Salute has to be competitive once again.

PORTICELLO can’t be dismissed in this one as there should be a lot more to come from him.

Wins in France and then in a Listed Wetherby contest on his two appearances puts him in the thick of this one.

Another to firmly consider for the shortlists is TOO FRIENDLY who takes on the challenge of a higher grade.

There’s been fine promise shown from him over the hurdles, with a couple of juvenile successes at Stratford and Newcastle. He could be a player.
