Today’s Horse Racing Tip

Heading up the market for this one is KINROSS who looks to build on a score at Haydock last time out.

He really benefited from the drop in distance there to get the John Of Gaunt Stakes under his belt. A gelding op seems to have helped him kick on as well.

There is a quote of 11/4 to see Kinross score again* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

There is a 3lb bump for him as he returns to action with Hollie Doyle in the saddle. As long as the quicker ground isn’t an issue, then he should be there.

GLORIOUS JOURNEY reopposes Kinross once again. He was almost three lengths back from winner Kinross at the John Of Gaunt stakes.

For Saturday he is on 3lb better terms with that rival in this one. Is that enough?

It does look to give Glorious Journey a chance to close the gap at least. The other for the shortlist will be MOTAKHAYYEL who clearly has a top run in him.

He scored over course and distance last year to win the Bunbury Cup.

He hasn’t quite been back to that form since, but the quicker ground may pull something more out of him. As it stands though, Kinross looks like the one to beat.

This is a big 2-mile contest for Saturday, it’s the Northumberland Plate and it could be a cracker on the Tapeta.

There are a lot of good claims in this one and we are interested in the 5/1 shot DUBIOUS AFFAIR as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

She produced some very good progressive form in 2020 and she stays at the same mark as her last effort. That gives her a big chance.

That most run for Dubious Affair was at Royal Ascot 11 days ago, where she was unlucky to not get the score.

Traffic was what did her in the end. With that reappearance out of the way, Dubious Affair should be even stronger.

GALATA BRIDGE is another to watch for the contest. He put in a good run at Royal Ascot in a handicap to claim 6th of 13.

Galata Bridge had put in a bold show from the front and stuck in there a long way in that one. He’s down 3lb and that gives the former course winner a good chance here.

The final section is going to be AUSTRALIS who can’t be overlooked. Roger Varian’s 5 year old was the runner up in last year’s Northumberland Plate so can handle the Tapeta.

The switch back to the all-weather is going to help his form, having struggled a bit on turf in his last two. Place claims are there.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

The top action just rolls on for Saturday as we look at this Group 3 contest from Newcastle on Northumberland Plate day.

We think that CHIL CHIL is worth a look as a horse racing tip at 15/2* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

The 5-year-old has plenty of scope for better things still. She scored on her latest run, which was at Newmarket last month.

The form from that score 56 days ago was franked nicely at Royal Ascot, and with her having a 3lb allowance, checks a lot of boxes for this one.

DILIGENT HARRY has won three of his four racetrack appearances and is an exciting youngster.

He has a lot more on his plate here after scoring in a minor event at Lingfield 85 days ago. But he is coming on leaps and bounds and has serious place claims.

KHUZAAM is another that has to be watched in the market. He did not really get things together at Sandown last time out, getting beaten by Palace Pier in the Bet365 Mile.

But Khuzaam is a much bigger threat on the all-weather and enters calculations.

This year’s renewal of the Northumberland Vase looks to be wide open. There are plenty with claims here including ZEEBAND.

On his reappearance, at Newmarket, the 4-year-old went well to claim a third-place finish. He’s entitled to come on sharper for that one, especially on the move to 2m.

But slight preference is for INDIGO TIMES at 9/1* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

He has won four of five runs this season and is a massive threat in all-weather handicapping. Indigo Times eased to a win at Kempton on a 2m trip three weeks ago.

There is a 5lb penalty for him to deal with but he is just absolutely thriving right now, and even with that penalty he is 2lb well in.

RAYMOND has had a pleasing campaign, winning two of his last three. He looks to be developing and looking much happier on the flat as well.

He was really up for it to score at York on his latest at this distance. Claims are there, as there are for the likes of COSMELLI and EAST ASIA.

We drop to the youngsters here as we look at the 2-year-olds.

We are swinging for ROCK MELODY as our 7/1 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

She performed very well on a win at Redcar and looks well suited to a step up in class in this one.

A big threat is CACHET who produced an excellent fifth in the Albany at Royal Ascot and commands respect because of that performance.

The other obvious big player is NAJAT who got off to a good start on her debut. That produced a victory for her at Thirsk, in what wasn’t the strongest of races, but she travelled well.

This should be a good contest and we have to stick with the 5/4 favourite LOGICIAN for it* (betting odds recorded 21:00 GMT on 25th June 2021 at Bet365).

Logician, who was the winner of the 2019 St Leger has had his sights lowered a fair bit for this contest.

On his reappearance, he opened the season with a third-place finish behind Al Aasy at Newbury.

He should be stronger for that and the conditions look to ideally suit him as it is going to be quick.

After the disappointment of missing the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot, we expect to see Logician thrive on the weekend.

DESERT ENCOUNTER has been laying down some smart form this season and the gelding was fifth behind Love at the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot 10 days ago.

PABLO ESCOBAR is a lot better than a disappointing reappearance run after 8 months ago. It could have been the absence, but he didn’t get well at Newmarket.

Connections throw the visor at him and did hit top form last season with a Group 3 victory at Goodwood.

He picked up a win on his latest run, his second success in his last three efforts. That latest win came at Nottingham in a handicap a month ago.

There was more in the tank from him there and Brentford Hope looks a good progressive sort.

There should be a strong challenge from CENTURY DREAM who was only very narrowly touched off in the Diomed Stakes at Epsom last time out.

BOUNCE THE BLUES could be the other selection to fill the top three after luck went against him at Lingfield 49 days ago, denying him the win.
