VICTORY DANCE was nothing but impressive in landing a win on his debut three weeks ago.
That was here at Newmarket for Charlie Appleby, who has seen home four of the last six winners of this contest.
Victory Dance was still a little green in that maiden, so is well entitled to come on even further. He should be right there.
LION OF WAR was another impressive debut winner when he delivered the goods at Leicester.
But he has also added to that tally since, scoring an eye-catching win at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago.
Lion Of War looks well worthy of his place up at this level now and looks as if he has a lot in his locker.
ISAAC SHELBY is the final one on the shortlist in this small field after winning his debut.
That was in a maiden at Newbury, perhaps not the strongest of races so the form is not so easy to read. But he’s well worth a look.
Ones to watch: Victory Dance 6/4, Isaac Shelby 4/1

PERFECT POWER heads up the shortlist for the July Cup Stakes after hitting top form last time out.
After finding the 1m trip for the 2000 Guineas too much for him, Perfect Power followed that with a score at Royal Ascot.
He delivered the win in the Commonwealth Cup, another super run for him.
That was the fourth win in five runs for Perfect Power and he should hum along nicely on Saturday.
Perfect Power does take on his elders for the first time, but still, it’s very hard to discount his chances.
CREATIVE FORCE was a close second-place finisher in the Platinum Jubilee at Royal Ascot last time out.
That was a very good effort by him against his stablemate NAVAL CROWN.
Creative Force took the Champion Sprint Stakes last year at Royal Ascot so has won at the top level before.
NAVAL CROWN gets on the shortlist as well after beating Creative Force by a neck at Royal Ascot.
That was another fine performance from this smart colt. It’s been a good season for Naval Crown and he’s not likely to be far away.
FLAMING RIB also warrants some respect for this contest after following Perfect Power home at the Commonwealth Cup three weeks ago.
He is another of the good ones in this contest and arrives in excellent form.
Flaming Rib, who last scored at Chester in May, rarely puts a foot wrong.
Ones to watch: Creative Force 11/2, Naval Crown 13/2

MISTY GREY did a good job on the return to the turf last time out, which was at Haydock a few races ago.
He took a place finish in that. After a tough Group3 effort at the same venue, he was back in the mix with a place finish at Windsor two weeks ago.
Misty Grey hasn’t gotten a win on the board this season but currently looks to be within his scope.
LANEQASH drops in class and that should put him firmly in the mix after struggling last time out.
He never looked right in the Group 3 Criterion Stakes last month and now gets the cheek pieces for the first time.
Laneqash should find these calmer waters much more to his liking and has far more ability than he showed last time out.
OSCULA has the pick of the form though coming into this one after a good win at Carlisle on her penultimate run.
That win was sandwiched between two runners-up finishes.
The latter of those was at Sandown in a fillies contest. Oscula looks sharp and is well worth a look to get in the running in racing tips.
Ones to watch: Laneqash 5/4, Misty Grey 11/2

WITHOUT A FIGHT is the favourite for this contest, which features only three runners.
He got the better of John Leeper when they met at course and distance last time out.
That was a Listed contest and that obviously gives Without a Fight strong claims of a follow-up.
THUNDEROUS has some claims though because he went well in a Group 2 contest on his penultimate, which was here at York.
He was well within touch of Stradivarius at course and distance in the Yorkshire Cup.
He followed up with a fourth place finish at Sandown Group 3.
Thunderous is great to watch as he likes to get to the front and just go. He is well worth a look in racing tips.
JOHN LEEPER may have something to find in this one then having been beaten recently at C&D by Without A Fight.
Things are made more difficult for John Leeper as he’s actually going to be 3lb worse off against that rival on Saturday.
Ones to watch: Without A Fight evens, John Leeper 4/1

MONTASSIB has been in some good form this season and looks as if he could kick on further.
Montassib saw his undefeated record go when he was fifth in the Buckingham Palace, and he was travelling well.
He started the season with back-to-back wins and could easily get back on track in this one.
SAMBURU is another with some excellent form produced this season and is a firm contender in racing tips.
He won his first three starts before taking a sixth-place finish in the Group 3 Jersey at Royal Ascot three weeks ago.
Samburu hasn’t done improvising yet and arrives for a top yard with some massive claims.
ROPEY GUEST isn’t without a chance in this one, especially with a good 5lb claimer taken into consideration.
He was last seen taking a runner-up spot in the Buckingham Palace at Royal Ascot on his latest.
Ropey Guest had a few of these behind him in that contest and has generally shaped well this season.
RHOSCOLYN is another that warrants a look to get on the shortlist for this contest after a good third at Royal Ascot.
That was in the big field in Buckingham Palace and he didn’t totally get a clean run in that one either. He could have more to come.
Ones to watch: Samburu 9/2, Ropey Guest 14/1

LAASUDOOD was a winner last time out as he got his nose in front in a Doncaster handicap on a 1m trip.
It’s been good positive stuff from Laasudood for his new connections.
This is a tougher assignment for him, but he is in form.
BAY OF HONOUR is another that warrants some respect in horse racing tips on Saturday.
He steps into a handicap for the first time and he does bring winning form to the table.
Bay Of Honour got his latest score at Thirsk in June, adding to a score at Kempton at the end of last season.
There should be a lot more to come from Bay Of Honour now in handicapping.
JIMI HENDRIX has produced some decent enough form this season and he took a win on his penultimate run.
That was taken at Haydock on what was his handicap debut. He followed up with a very credible third-place finish in the Britannia at Royal Ascot.
Ones to watch: Bay Of Honour 3/1, Jimi Hendrix 7/2
