He is looking for a double after scoring here 8 days at Lingfield after getting himself well positioned on the 1-mile trip.

It was not a fixture in which he really needed to push himself all that much actually.

That win was in a 6-runner field as well and Glasvegas is expected to be back in the mix.

FLY THE NEST got himself a win at the 1m trip last week, finishing ahead of NICK VEDDER.

He is 2lb worse off than that opponent for this rematch. But he has held some pretty decent form across the winter and there is no way that he can be counted out.

We would also have to look at NICK VEDDER as well then who, much like Fly The Nest has had a good solid winter.

There is a big field to dig through here but the current 13/8 favourite is the hattrick-seeking EMBOLE* (betting odds recorded 21:48 GMT on Saturday 13th March 2021 at Coral).

He is thriving at the moment after having scored back to back wins at Wetherby and Southwell.

The latter of those was accomplished very easily by 10 lengths.

There’s a 7lb penalty for EMBOLE on his return to action less than a week later.

If this isn’t too soon for him then he could prove to be the one to beat.

THAT’S THE BADGER is well worth keeping on side for this competitive handicap.

He claimed a nice third place at Carlisle on his handicap debut last month.

There looks as if there is more from him to come after a vastly improved performance over the timbers. That’s The Badger stays at the same rating.

The other for the shortlist in this handicap hurdle is COEUR SEREIN who piques a little interest.

He put in a very smooth run on his reappearance three months ago. That was a fourth-place finish for him at Doncaster in a novices handicap.

It will be interesting to see what he brings on his return after a break and well refreshed.

With another solid handicap run under his belt last time out, he should feature.

He picked up a win here on a 7f trip last time out in a minor event. That was three weeks ago and if he’s back near that form, which isn’t set in stone with him, then he could feature.

He has a very good record at Lingfield and has looked in fine fettle on his two runs after a year away.

There has been nice encouraging progress for him this season with a couple of solid efforts over the hurdles.

In the chasing sphere, he made his debut last month and earned a very good second at Hereford at 25f in a novice handicap.

A Time To Shine was a useful pointer and could feature strongly.

It’s been seven career starts for Prospect and he has finished second in four of those.

The chance of a double is thereafter scoring nicely at this venue last month. There is a 6lb rise for Billymillsy on the back of that success.

But that doesn’t look insurmountable at all after a comfortable course and distance success. He really looked as he enjoyed the step up to this trip.
