WAR LORD could be tough to stop in this contest. He rattled off some cracking form at the start of the season, winning his first two.
Those were at Newton Abbot and Carlisle on 2m trips last year.
His last race was 50 days ago in which he was runner-up to Edwardstone in a Sandown Grade 1.
There was no discrace in that for War Lord in what was the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase.
There’s a chance that he could get back to winning ways immediately.
SHAKEM UP’ARRY looks to be the main threat to War Lord in this interesting voices’ chase.
Shakem Up’arry ran on Saturday in a Grade 2 and should be highly respected after a third-place at Haydock.
That followed a win at the same venue last month.
FAIVOIR has gone very well the last two times. He made a good early impression over the fence with a score at Ascot in November.
He was up against a very good grade in Grade 2 since, but stuck to his job very well to take a runner-up spot and could get heavily involved.
Ones to watch: War Lord 15/8, Shakem Up’arry 5/1

DARVER STAR was a winner on his latest. That was in a minor hurdle even at Puncheston three weeks ago.
Despite getting towards veteran territory now, Darver Star has shown in his last few races that he still has plenty of ability.
BREWIN’UPASTORM took an excellent win at Aintree on his return to action this season.
That was a comfortable victory, and more was expected from him at Cheltenham on his follow-up.
But Brewin’upastorm failed to complete at Cheltenham, getting it all wrong at the last in the Relkeel.
He is conceding weight to Darver Star in this one which could make it difficult, but a bounce back is not out of the question.
GOSHEN hasn’t hit top form this season at all. Back in February last year he scored well in the Kingwell at Wincanton.
It’s been a bit downhill from Goshen since then. He was seventh in the Betfair Exchange Trophy at Ascot on his latest run a month ago.
Ones to watch: Darver Star 11/8, Goshen 11/4

BRISTOL DE MAI is still knocking around and the 11-year-old is not without a chance in this one.
He has failed to complete the last twice. The most recent of those was on his renewal two months ago.
But the conditions under foot are going to be much better for him on Sunday. He’s a proven chaser and not to be discounted.
DASHEL DRASHER is naturally going to draw plenty of focus after bouncing back to winning ways last time out.
He’s a good front running chaser, much in the form of Bristol De Mai really.
Dashel Drasher was seen over the hurdles 25 days ago and reverts to the fences looking to make an impact back in a sphere in which he’s thrived before at the top level.
ITCHY FEET remains in decent form with back to back runners-up places under his belt this season.
The former Grade 1 chase winner looks to have found a new lease of life this season.
The cheekpieces have helped a lot. He was last seen following home Bravemansgame at Haydock in November. Itchy Feet has claims.
FANION D’ESTRUVAL claimed a win on his penultimate run, which was at Newbury in November.
He ran home second at Ascot on Saturday. He would enter at a pretty good mark here and has been consistently improving his jumping game.
Ones to watch: Bristol De Mai 10/3, Dashel Drasher 5/2

LYDFORD is open to a lot more progress as he makes the move to handicapping.
He has looked good over the hurdles, banking back to back wins at Southwell and Market Rasen.
Lydford defied a penalty to get the latter of those.
He should get himself heavily involved in the thick of the action.
BARRICHELLO couldn’t get the hat trick completed on his last effort.
There were excuses for him at Bangor in December in that latest effort.
Before that Barrichello had landed novice wins at Bangor and Haydock, the latter of those in a listed contest. He can make his presence felt.
WASHINGTON appears to be on a fair mark for his handicap debut on Sunday.
He rattled off a hat trick with a score at Bangor his reappearance run this season.
He followed with a runner-up spot in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham before taking another place finish back at the same venue on his latest.
Washington has been consistent and he should have a lot more potential unlocked coming into handicapping.
Ones to watch: Lydford 11/4, Barrichello 11/2

FRISCO BAY put together an excellent effort on a 3m handicap trip here at Warwick last month.
There has been a 5lb rise for Frisco Bay, but he still looks to have plenty of room to work with in the handicapping.
THE DUBAI WAY gets the cheekpieces on as he is weighted to go well in this one as he steps up a little in the trip.
There was a nice return to action for him as he banked a third-place finish in a Uttoxeter handicap chase last month.
The Dubai Way had his first run for a new yard in that one, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he sharpens up further.
NESSFIELD BLUE is the last one that goes on the shortlist. He opened his account at Fontwell in October.
On his latest, he had to pull up after running out of steam in some heavy mud back at the venue last time out.
That was, disappointingly for connections, after he had pulled out a lead.
Ones to watch: The Dubai Way 11/2, Nessfield Blue 10/1

GO WHATEVER landed a win three weeks ago in the Sussex National which puts him on the radar for a chance on Sunday.
He did take full advantage of a sliding mark to get the victory in that one at Plumpton.
Now it will be interesting to see what he has as Go Whatever goes back up 7lb.
PEMBERLEY looks to have strong claims as well after picking up a win in December on a 3m trip at Warwick.
He was second to Go Whatever in the Sussex National three weeks ago.
But the tables could be turned seeing as he’s 7lb better off against that rival this time around.
LASKALIN is another that gets on the shortlist even though it is unexposed beyond a 3m trip.
He looks like he needs a longer run such as this. He was a runner-up at Exeter at the 3 miles on New Year’s Day.
That place finish had been on the back of a sliding mark. Laskalin is a youngster in the field and is one to watch.
LITTLE RED LION is one more of interest from this big field at Lingfield.
He requires a bounceback performance after not completing his reappearance at Exeter in December.
But he’s a proven three-time winner in National Hunt from last season. He consistently goes well.
If Little Red Lion can keep the mistakes down then he will have a chance.
Ones to watch: Laskalin 11/2, Little Red Lion 20/1 e/w
