The market leader for this contest is THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE at 7/4* (betting odds recorded 21:39 GMT on Saturday, 6th February 2021 at William Hill).

He completed a hattrick when he threw off a penalty to score at Ludlow in November. He has been away since then but is rapidly heading in the right direction.

Threeunderthrufive was a fair bumper winner and now with two for two over the hurdles for Paul Nicholls, there should be another bold effort on his return.

FANTASTIKAS is worth a look as well for this fixture as he has been knocking on the door lately.

It should be only a matter of time before he gets off the mark. He went up a long way in trip at Southwell on his last effort and was beaten only by a very good one.

The unexposed BORN PATRIOT may be pulled onto the shortlist as well. There was a winning debut for him at Punchestown in November.

He followed that impressive as well as he showed some nice stamina to get a runner up spot at Thurles on his last effort 49 days ago.

PRINCE KAYF heads the market for this one at 10/3* (betting odds recorded 21:39 GMT on Saturday, 6th February 2021 at William Hill).

There was some good progress made by him last season. On his hurdles debut in November 2019, he delivered a win.

Prince Kayf has been away from the action for 400 days and that has been a little bit of a concern.

But he was very good in that novice company and looks to be on a workable mark has returned for a longer trip.

KAIZER picked up a win at Carlisle back in October and has just about maintained that kind of level and form since then.

On his latest run, he was third here at Musselburgh at the start of the year.

This is a longer trip for him, but he looks to have something to offer and is our 13/2 selection* (betting odds recorded 21:39 GMT on Saturday, 6th February 2021 at William Hill).

The other selection for the shortlist is NIKGARDE. He delivered a win at the second time of asking over the hurdles back in September.

Nikgarde followed up in November with a third-place finish in a novice event at Doncaster. He’s worth a look at this longer trip.

The 10/11 market leader for the Scottish Supreme Novices’ Hurdle is THIRD TIME LUCKY* (betting odds recorded 21:39 GMT on Saturday, 6th February 2021 at William Hill).

It has been three wins from four trips for him this season, all over the hurdles and the progressive six-year-old should have a strong hand in this one.

His latest score was on Boxing Day at Kempton on a 2m trip. David Skelton’s gelding looks to be the one to beat in this fixture.

TOMMY’S OSCAR is worth a look in this one as he delivered a win at course and distance last time out. That gave him a hattrick of victorious so he is in great heart at the moment.

He keeps on improving and that last run was just sixteen days ago when he produced some very good jumping form.

Tommy’s Oscar should be respected and may be worth a play at 8/1* (betting odds recorded 21:39 GMT on Saturday, 6th February 2021 at William Hill).

BAREBACK JACK is another that is in good shape at the moment. He opened the season with a course and distance success.

Then he followed up with a facile score at Catterick 35 days ago. The Irish point winner looks a threat as well in this very competitive hurdles fixture.

He followed up in January by delivering another win there to secure a double.

MISTER FREEZE knocked on the door over course and distance on his latest start.

So there is reason to believe that he will be back in the frame again as that latest effort was less than three weeks ago.

GLORY OF PARIS was third over course and distance just five days ago.

He’s hard to nail down at times as he doesn’t always look the most interesting.

Notably, too, the last two successes for Eagle Ridge have been at course and distance.

So there are big claims from him here and he looks to complete the hattrick.

This is a very open fixture though. EVENT OF SIVOLA is worth a look after falling at Ayr on his latest trip. That was three weeks ago.

On his penultimate race Event of Sivola claimed a second-place finish behind one that has since gone on to win again.

After a win at Newcastle on her latest effort, a handicap chase, HILLS CONNEMARA piques some interest.

That score was taken from a 40/1 SP 50 days ago. She just powered clear in that one, completely out of the blue.

There has been a 6lb rise for her now in the ratings because of that. Can she back it up?

PEARL OF QATAR has been knocking on the door all season and has finished as runner up in her last two.

The most recent of those was 10 days ago. She is a former course and distance winner.

QAARAAT got her better of Pearl of Qatar here 10 days ago and so these are the two leading contenders.

He always looked comfortable holding off his rival. There is more on the trip for this one, but he has to be right back in the frame.

SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD will be the other one to watch in this fixture.

He was a beaten favourite on his last trip, which was here at course and distance 12 days ago.

It was still a nice, strong credible run from him.
