The race favourite for this handicap chase is SEEMINGLY SO at 9/4* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

This will be his reappearance run after a 9-month break.

He signed off last season with some decent form in picking up a second-place finish on his chase debut.

That was on a 3m trip and Seemingly So looked pretty handy in that one. It was a bright enough start in the sphere to warrant some respect in this one.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CAPARD KING is another of the big threats in his field. He has had a reappearance run, showing up at Kelso a month ago, and he looked to be badly in need of that run.

The 11-year-old is going to be far more comfortable here coming up on the trip. Capard King won this fixture 12 months ago.

The other for the shortlist in this one is SPEAK OF THE DEVIL who will be coming into his third run of the season.

He got off the mark under rules on his reappearance run, scoring a 3m trip at Hexham. Speak Of The Devil followed up with an excellent third at Kelso from this mark.

Heading up the market for this Listed contest is ZAMBELLA at 15/8* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

She has already picked up a win for this season, scoring last time out at Bangor.

That was in a Listed novice event and Zambella produced a lot of promise there.

She is going to have to handle a 5lb penalty for the win, but in having taken out Stormy Island in that contest, Zambella looks like a big player in this field.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

LEGENDS GOLD is worth a serious look from a quote of 7/2* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

She scored on her reappearance run, landing a victory at Ffos Las on her chase debut in October. Legends Gold was on the prowl in her follow up at Uttoxeter before falling two out.

We also would have to swing towards PINK LEGEND for the shortlist in this fixture. She is a dual hurdles winner and opened her chase account immediately.

That was 12 days ago on her reappearance at Bangor. As long as this doesn’t come too quickly for her, Pink Legend can get in the mix.

Heading up the market for this big field is WHEN YOU’RE READY at 7/2* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

He picked up a win on his reappearance, scoring in 2m novices at Stratford.

When You’re Ready has had one run since then, in which he was third on a 2m trip at Leicester. That was actually an improved run for Jonjo O’Neill’s gelding and he brings some big claims to the table.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CONFIRMATION BIAS also looks a strong contender with claims in this fixture. He is probably going to bring some big improvement to the table after a second place in a maiden a couple of weeks ago. He was only narrowly denied in that one and moved to handicap for the first time.

MOUNT WINDSOR also carries a big threat in the contest. He is on the hunt for a hat trick. He is now thriving over the hurdles after having taken a while to get it together.

It’s been a strong positive upward curve from him this season. The big question here is the distance as this is his first attempt at more than 2m.

Still, we think he offers something big at 4/1* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

She picked up a win on her reappearance run, scoring over the fences at Hexham.

Empire De Maulde hit back to form on his last run as well, only just coming up short at Doncaster on a longer 3m effort.

That was a second-place finish there from him, missing out by a short head. The drop back in trip will probably offer more improvement.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MAID O’MALLEY is in form as well at the moment and will likely find plenty on this trip. She has performed well on both runs this season.

Last month she was at Cartmel in a mares handicap hurdle and stayed on very well to earn a runner up finish.

Maid O’malley will likely thrive back in chasing on Thursday and is one to watch and is our 5/2 selection* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

The other for the shortest is going to be DUNDRUM WOOD who gets the cheekpieces on for the first time. She posted a fourth-place finish on her reappearance run, an effort at Kelso in which she did struggle a bit.

That was her first run for seven months so perhaps is worth revisiting on his second attempt in this sphere.

GLAJOU is the current 6/4 favourite for this Taunton trip* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

The Paul Nicholls gelding picked up a win on his latest effort. That was in a Southwell handicap.

That just confirmed the progressive form that Glajou has shown over the fences this season.

He is dealing with a 7lb penalty for this trip, but there are big claims there from him. He has just looked better and better with each run.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

GO LONG is a big contender in this one. On his reappearance, he collected a powerful win at Fontwell.

While he has gone up 5lb in the ratings, he is still a big player. It’s all about the jumping from him and if he goes as he did at Fontwell, then he is likely to be there or thereabouts.

There does appear to be some room for improvement from GOLDEN TAIPAN which means that he needs to be on the shortlist.

He looks to be coming into form over the fences now after a second palace finish at Wincanton three weeks ago.

That was a good bounce-back performance from a fall in the previous.

There could be a better effort still to come from him and has appeal at 9/2* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

We finish with some sprint action for today’s horse racing tips. NIGEL NOTT is the 6/4 leader in the betting for this one* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

He was here at Chelmsford City just last week over 5f and scored that minimum trip win. He did have to scrap it out at the end. There’s a 5lb penalty for him in this one, and he has to be a player having also scored at 6f before here.

GAMGOOM looks like an interesting proposition for this race.

He has had a course and distance success, getting that in February when 7lb higher under Hayley Turner, who he retains.

Gamgoom hasn’t been in the same form since but does arrive back in the UK after a win in Dortmund in September. For a 9/2 selection he is worth a look* (betting odds taken from Ladbrokes at 17:13 GMT on Wednesday, 9th December 2020).

We round off with DIAMOND DOUGAL who picked up a win last time out. That was at Wolverhampton a month ago.

The race fell apart in his favour in that one and Diamond Dougal was able to secure the win after having fallen down the ratings as well. He retains some interest.
