Today’s Horse Racing Tips & Odds – Thursday, 18th February 2021

Today’s horse racing tips are all selections from the national hunt action of the day.

We are only looking at the meetings at Sandown and Leicester for this one.

There are some big races from the latter venue there including the Jane Seymour Mares’ Novices Hurdle (Grade 2) and the Kingston Handicap Chase.

EN COEUR is the current 9/4 market leader for this one* (betting odds recorded 18:28 GMT on February 17th, 2021 2021 at Betfair).

He is looking for a double after scoring at Plumpton in January, which was straight after a second-place there.

En Couer looked comfortable in that one and gets pushed up 6lb which seems reasonable.

He is not likely to be too far away and probably just sets the standard in the contest.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

GOLDENCARD has rattled the crossbar this season having finished in second place in each of his last three runs.

So he will likely have another good strong, bold run in him. His most recent effort was at Fakenham 53 days ago.

The winner of last year’s race THIS BREAC is back for another shot. Will this be the ideal situation for him to get himself going again?

This Breac has pulled up in each of his three outings this season. He was 3lb higher when he scored this 12 months ago.

He is thriving at the moment having scored on his last two efforts. The switch to chasing recently has brought the very best out of him.

The latest score that he took was at Wincanton at couple of weeks ago and he still looks as if he has further improvement to come as well.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

EARLY DU LEMO warrants a bit of respect as well in this one. He went well for a long way at course and distance last time out.

He put in a bold run there, keen to get to the front and pull things along. Early Du Lemo retains plenty of ability.

Our selection for the fixture is going to be ENZO D’AIRY though who looks more than capable.

He has won two of his four outings this season over the fences. This follows a good run at Ludlow a month ago in which he was third over a longer trip.

She has been crushing it recently having won all four trips this season. It’s been 4 wins from five over the fences for Kapga De Lily.

She takes on a 10lb rise in this one and that may not slow her up from claiming that five-timer.

The rest of the field is up against it in this one. ARIAN looks like the leading contender behind the favourite.

She has been in decent form as well having won her first two trips for this season.

She took a pretty heavily fall at Cheltenham in December on her last run but has had plenty of time to recover.

THE BAY BIRCH will go to the shortlist as well. She see

med to have a bit of return to form with a third-place at Kempton last month.

She is now down a sizeable 11lb in the ratings from where she was at at the beginning of the season. The Bay Birch is going to level out very soon.

This is a quality race and the 15/8 favourite is LITTLE RIVER BAY* (betting odds recorded 18:28 GMT on February 17th, 2021 2021 at Betfair).

She is looking for a four-timer after thriving this season.

It has been three from three for her this term and she shrugged off a penalty to score at Newbury on her latest effort a month ago.

There is more to come from her as well. The seven-year-old is probably going to go well in the conditions here which suit her.

MISTY WHISKY though is not to be discounted from this at 7/2* (betting odds recorded 18:28 GMT on February 17th, 2021 2021 at Betfair).

She took a second-place finish in the Lanzarote at Kempton on her latest trip, which just saw he miss out on a hattrick.

Misty Whisky has won at this track before and bold run can see her upset the odds.

ANYTHING FOR LOVE also needs to be considered for the shortlist as well. The dual bumper winner has landed two wins this season over the hurdles.

Her last effort was at Grade 2 when she was fourth of five at Haydock last time out, but not distance and will relish the further trip here.

He will be dealing with an 8lb rise in the ratings after scoring over the fences last time out at Wincanton.

That was a month ago, but this is now a higher grade that he moves into.

But that Wincanton score was over this trip and looks progressive enough to handle a step forward.

This will be his first action since a wind op and looked good on his chasing debut when second at Market Rasen.

He couldn’t quite follow up equally as well at Newbury since, but the op could be a factor.

MAC TOTTIE is the other one respective enough to get on the shortlist list.

He was second at Market Rasen on the back of a very good jumping performance a month ago.

That was a pretty similar event and he needs to be kept on side.

He looks like a useful chaser but has fallen down to a mark where he should be competitive now. Highest Sun is well worth keeping on side.

ECLAIR DE GUYE earned a success at Huntingdon on his last run, which was about two months ago.

He has looked in very good shape this season to be fair.

There has been a big hit in the ratings for him but still warrants enough respect to head into this as our 5/1 pick* (betting odds recorded 18:28 GMT on February 17th, 2021 2021 at Betfair).

The exciting CUBAN PETE is a threat in the field as well. He missed out on a hat-trick on his last effort, which was at this mark at Newbury.

But otherwise it has been a good solid season from him and he is more than capable of hauling himself into the frame.
