Today’s horse racing tips are sticking with national hunt selections only and those will be from Wincanton and Ludlow.

ENZO D’AIRY is the current 9/4 market leader for this Ludlow trip* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

He has picked up two wins from three runs this season and those successes were at Stratford on chasing debut and at Ascot most recently.

Sandwiched between those two scores was a good third place at Chepstow under penalty.

There has been a substantial step forward from Enzo D’airy since moving to the fences.

While he has an 8lb rise to deal with, the extra trip could help him handle that.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

FAUSTINOVICK looks to be the biggest threat to the favourite in this one.

He takes on a pretty harsh 7lb rise, after only getting narrowly beaten at Chepstow on his latest effort.

Faustinovick pulled himself well clear of everyone else behind him in that Chepstow effort. So place claims look very solid.

CATAMARAN DE SEUIL looks to be the other main player in this field. He has gone well this season with back to back place finishes.

He needed his reappearance run at Ffos Las after a 10-month break in which he took a third-place finish.

Catamaran De Seuil followed up with a second-place at Newcastle in December.

SANDYMOUNT ROSE is the current 7/4 favourite for this exciting mares’ handicap hurdle* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

She has continued with the kind of form with which she signed off last season.

Her last effort was in a conditional jockeys’ event at Exeter which she won. But she escapes a penalty so should be right in the calculations here.

That recent run was 11 days ago and sitting on that same mark after opening her account, she looks primed for further improvement.

ROBIN GOLD is a player in this field as she is coming back on a trip here.

She was among Listed company at Sandown on her latest run where she found the going a little too hot for her.

It was a third place finish that she took in that one, missing a chance of a hattrick.

It’s hard to find much among the rest of the field in this fixture. COILLTE EILE may be the best of the rest.

She did win a similar fixture at Ascot in November 2019. But she is down a little bit in her current form and a win for her does look to be a stretch.

Twojayslad picked up a win on his latest run, six weeks ago. That was a 10-runner handicap score in a Doncaster chase.

Going on his decent form this season, there should be some strong claims coming in from him.

LESSANKAN made her chasing debut last time out and took a good second place finish at Fakenham.

He was a distant second, but nonetheless showed a lot of promise on his first go in this sphere.

That effort was 17 days ago and Lessankan should be able to build on that and get close.

HAPPY NEWS will probably appreciate the longer trip that is on for this one. She was fourth at Huntington on her latest effort which was respectable.

That came after winning here at Ludlow last month at two and a half miles.

MACK THE MAN is the current 6/4 favourite for this handicap hurdle action* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

There was a fight place finish for him last time out as he went on a chase effort. That’s two relatively inconspicuous chase efforts from him in his last two.

But the switch to hurdling means that more is expected of him here. This could be just what he needs to give him a boost.

But it is ROSIE AND MILLIE who makes the grade as our 7/4 selection* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

She produced strong showings in each of her runs this season so warrants respect. Rosie And Millie stays at the same mark as she warrants some respect.

RIVER BRAY will be the other name for the shortlist in this one. He struggled a bit in a really strong contest at Kempton at the end of last month.

But this is an easier task ahead of him and the smaller field will probably suit him as well.

There is a strong favourite at the head of the market in this Hunters’ Chase.

That is HAZEL HILL at 8/13* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

It’s been just brilliant form all the way for the 2019 Foxhunter winner. He has not dropped that level since then.

Hazel Hill was last seen in a point race on a 3m trip in December last year.

A second place finish was what Hazel Hill took in that effort and it was a reappearance so he looked just a tad rusty. He should be a lot stronger for this effort.

ENNISTOWN moves from the handicaps to this hunter chase action. So that move piques some interest.

He hasn’t quite been at his best over the hurdles in his last two so a shakeup could be what he needs on his first go for his new yard.

He should have a chance if he’s anywhere near his a-game.

The other pick here is REIKERS ISLAND. He is in a similar boat to Ennistown as he is going for a new yard as well.

If he has been revitalised by the move then looking at what he has delivered in form before, he should have a say in this.

So Cyclop is bang in form at the moment and got back to winning ways on a run at Plumpton last week under Lilly Pinchin who stays in the saddle.

The same mark means that Cyclop is a huge threat here as he escapes a penalty.

He was 20l clear at the finish in that recent Plumpton effort and may not get reeled in here.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

LIMITED RESERVE should have enough to have a say in this fixture. It has been back to back third place finishes over the fences from him this season.

So he hasn’t quite built on his excellent hurdles form from the last campaign. Limited Reserve has the cheek pieces on for the first time

He’s not a bad proposition at 10/1* (betting odds recorded 18:51 GMT on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at Betfred).

The progressive NEARLY PERFECT is well worth some considerations under Bryony Frost.

The low-mileage 7 year old is still on the up and has earned back to back wins at Wetherby and here at Wincanton.

This is a tougher test for him, but with conditions favouring him, Nearly Perfect has a big shout.
