This is a good big field to dive through and most of them have some form to prove.

His most recent win was on his penultimate run, landing the score at Leicester. He is back after a three-month break.

The wins that When You’re Ready has recorded have been at shorter distances. But there’s no arguing his form and he should be a big player in this one.

Others to watch are SARASOTA STAR who was travelling very well at Cheltenham on his last run.

But he was brought down in that one, denying him. Sarasota Star stays at the same mark so could have a nice strong say in this one.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is a race in which we are going to stick with the favourite ARMATTIEKAN as the 9/4 favourite for a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

He has form at the course having won here on his penultimate effort, albeit over a shorter distance. But last time out he took his form to a new level.

He shone to earn a second-place at Bangor having come up 5lb in the ratings for that one. There has been a further rise of 1lb. But this looks like being a field that Armattiekan can handle.

In the 2020/21 season, he has rattled off four victories and could enjoy himself on a return to a winning venue.

Others to watch out for in the market are DOLLNAMIX who makes his chasing debut on Thursday, and SCARTARE who was only narrowly denied here two races ago and goes from at the bottom of the weights.

The current race favourite ZINC WHITE looks to be in pretty good shape at the moment to follow up a score at Wetherby on his return.

But we are just pulling towards PIED PIPER with Frankie Dettori booked. Pied Piper looks a good progressive sort.

There was a reappearance run for him three weeks ago and he looked like he needed it. So there is further to come from him.

The blinkers go on for the first time for Pied Piper as well and we don’t think that he can be discounted from the contest as a 9/2 contender* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

Another obvious threat in the field looks to be SILVER SHADE who is seeking a hat-trick after having put together a brilliant season so far.

This is a very strong contest with MODMIN and HABIT’S ROUGE both looking capable of strong efforts on Thursday.

But there is a hint that there could be more to come from MORLAIX at 4/1 so he goes as our racing tip* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

Morlaix was last seen at Nottingham 12 days ago. He didn’t have a good day there at all, getting away slowly and never taking to the soft ground on the day.

But before that, he had scored back to back wins on the all-weather. So the return to the artificial stuff, combined with him being a previous course and distance winner, makes him our tip.

There’s a chance that he could perk straight back up on a winning track. That Nottingham effort can be scratched as nothing was in favour for Morlaix on the day.

Even though there is potentially a strong race coming from GREATGADIAN in this one, we can’t find a reason to look past SISKANY at 15/8* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

Charlie Appleby’s colt looks to be well handicapped for this one. He returns to action after scoring under penalty at Windsor in April.

He was still going away from the rest of the field when he got that win. The form from their race looks good as well.

We expect a strong front-running show from Siskany in this one. He could have enough with that to take down Greatgadian who is making the step up to a longer trip.

Plenty of strong claims in this one. HIGHLAND AVENUE certainly brings plenty of threat having won three times this season.

But the soft ground is a big unknown for him in this contest.

We think that BULLACE is being a little underestimated in this race at 13/2* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

He won his last two races as a juvenile and on his reappearance made it a hattrick. That win happened at Newmarket in a strong contest over a 1m trip. It was delivered in a field of 10.

The form from that race has since been boosted as well, so Bullace can’t be counted out of this one as well.

This looks like being a cracking race and others with solid claims are MOSTAHDAF and MITHRAS.

NANDO PARRADO takes on the mile for the first time and could have a say with conditions in his favour.

Our final horse racing tip for Thursday is CEDAR CAGE. We are taking him at 2/1 to hold off some solid-looking challenges* (betting odds recorded 16:34 GMT on 19th May 2021 at William Hill).

Cedar Cage was third in a field of 11 here over course and distance two weeks ago. He looks to be on a workable mark and hasn’t had too much racing.

But that recent C&D should have sharpened up for this one and he has a big chance. EL CONQUISTADOR is a big threat having won a couple of times on the Polytrack this season.

RITCHIE VALENS, who was a couple of places behind Cedar Cage over course and distance recently and is entitled to come on further.
