AMANZOE is the one to beat in this contest and that may be a hard thing for any of this line up to do.

Amanzoe looks like a good one and she arrives from a yard that is in fine form at the moment.

She was last seen just five days ago.

Amanzoe was beaten by only a neck at Haydock in a handicap in that one, just missing out on completing a double.

Despite Amanzoe coming up 5lb, there’s a massive 10lb weight allowance that she gets in this one as a 3-year-old.

SOPHIESTICATED put in a decent shift at Hamilton just over a week ago. There was a very credible third place finish by her at course and distance.

AYR EMPRESS opened the season with a win, coming at Musselburgh in April.

She’s been in reasonable form recently and was a runner-up at the course and distance 8 days ago.

CROWN PRINCESS is also a former course winner and has had a good strong start to life as a four-year-old.

There was a win by her here at Hamilton on her penultimate before going well at Doncaster three weeks ago for a runner-up spot after a slow start.

Tip: AMANZOE 4/6

Ones to watch: crown Princess 10/3, Ayr Empress 6/1, Sophiesticated 8/1

BOWLAND PARK didn’t get in the frame on his latest run, but he is worth another look.

It was not the worst of runs at Redcar on a 1m trip, which was a return.

But looking back to this time last year he was in top form winning back-to-back handicaps at Epsom and Haydock around this kind of assistance. Bowland Park is no forlorn hope.

SHINING BLUE may well be the star attraction in this one as he looks to defend his unbeaten start. It has been two wins from two from him so far.

The latest of those wins was delivered under a penalty at Ripon four weeks ago and was well on top at the finish.

Shining Blue comes over to handicapping now.

If he hits the ground running on the all-weather then he should be a contender.

LA TIHATY is an interesting one here as he rattled off a four-timer with a score at Kempton back in February.

There were excuses for him at the Lincoln Trial on his penultimate start.

He was just well below his best on his latest run 69 days ago which was at this venue.

But La Tihaty returns after being freshened up and isn’t without a chance given his solid all-weather record.

Tip: SHINING BLUE 4/6

Ones to watch: La Tihaty 9/1, Bowland Park 20/1

BOOGIE TIME warrants some respect in this one as he looks to be on the right side of the handicapper at the moment.

He really hasn’t found his top gear this season but showed encouragement last time out.

Boogie Time was fourth at Sandown 12 days ago and carries a 7lb claimer.

Boogie Time has won at higher marks than this in his career and rates as a danger if he’s in the mood.

READY FREDDIE GO doesn’t have a bad strike rate on the flat and his latest win happened back in April.

He has been up and down for most of the season. Ready Freddie Go was flat at Doncaster on his latest spin but is better than that.

THE THIN BLUE LINE was a runner-up at Musselburgh 18 days ago and warrants respect as well.

He did land a win earlier this season at the same venue.

The Thin Blue Line looks competitive enough to make his presence felt.

Tip: THE THIN BLUE LINE 15/8

Ones to watch: Ready Freddie Go 4/1, Boogie Time 2/1

ANGLE LAND has been in reasonable form lately, although her latest run didn’t pan out at all.

There were excused for her at Windsor thought as she was badly hampered.

Angle Land scored at Lingfield in May and is good enough to land a spot on the shortlist in this one.

SILKY WILKIE has a quick turnaround after being sent out quickly after a runner-up five days ago at Redcar.

That was another good performance from him.

Silky Wilkie landed a win at Haydock on his penultimate run and has been in top form all season.

KAPE MOSS also warrants respect as she is a former course winner and went well at Goodwood a month ago.

She was well ahead of Angle Land in that one, landing the score.

There’s plenty of encouragement to build on if she is back with a repeat kind of performance.

LOVELY MANA is worthy of a mention as well although she is at the top weight.

The former course and distance winner is wonderfully consistent and rates as a danger.

Tip: SILKY WILKIE 3/1

Ones to watch: Kape Moss 2/1, Angle Land 11/1

DREAM SHOW was a winner on his latest effort, which was at Newbury just over three weeks ago.

That was a career-best and it moves him on to two wins in three carrying over from last season.

Dream Show is up 5lb and gets on the shortlist easily for this one.

DEODAR has won two of three racetrack appearances, scoring on his first run as a 3-year-old 40 days ago.

That was a nice win in a novice event at Doncaster on a shorter trip.

There’s plenty of promise there and has a lot more in him as he moves to handicapping.

LORD RAPSCALLION was a runner-up three weeks ago at Epsom in a handicap.

That extended a long winless streak back to 2020. But connections will have been happy with a much better attitude shown by him.

Lord Rapscallion takes on an extra 3lb for that run and can feature if he returns in the same kind of mood.

Tip: DREAM SHOW 7/2

Ones to watch: Deodar 7/2, Lord Rapscallion 5/1

NUVOLARI didn’t see things go his way on his latest run. The form before that reads well from a fourth at Goodwood.

Nuvolari did score on his debut back in September last year, which was at Epsom. He’s not out of the reckoning.

ROXZOFF is a clear threat in this field after enjoying a massive 2022 of racing.

He is rising up the ranks and has banked three wins in his last six runs, each of the other efforts being runner-up spots.

Roxzoff is at the same mark he was at Doncaster 11 days ago when he was second. He could be the one to beat.

RECURRENT DREAM is the final one on the shortlists who delivered a couple of wins as a juvenile.

His form from over in Ireland is handy and Recurrent Dream has the first run for a new yard on Thursday. He arrives after a second-place finish on his last run.

Tip: ROXOFF 5/2

Ones to watch: Nuvolari 5/1, Recurrent Dream 8/1
