There are four selections for today’s horse racing from the venue, including the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes and the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes.

Rounding out the day’s racing tips are a couple of selections from handicap chases at Perth.

Race Preview

This is the top race of the day and this is a stacked field of juveniles. HARROW certainly warrants a stack of respect for the contest.

He has looked something special having been thrown into some rich races recently. There was the completion of a hat trick last time out, that happening at Doncaster.

That was in a big field and while this is a much tougher assignment for him, there’s no doubt that Harrow commands respect.

TRIDENT scored on his debut and has followed up with back to back place finishes in Group races over in France. The latest was a great second-place finish in the Prix Morny at Deauville.

The move up to the 7f trip surely has to bring more out of him. RIBHI also looks to be a danger in this contest as well.

There is potential there after he opened well against the odds to score at Salisbury on his debut. Greenness showed through on his follow up in a Doncaster Listed race, but he’s respected still.

GALE FORCE MAYA should be ready for another bold run after taking a win a week ago at Pontefract.

It’s been a good consistent season from her and she’s gotten her reward. The penalty for that win has been wiped out by a 5lb claimer, so Gale Force Maya warrants respect.

LOVELY BREEZE is likely to be another of the big players in this handicap. She is up 5lb from her last winning mark.

That latest win happened at Goodwood on her penultimate run, and she wasn’t discouraged last time out at Pontefract in a Listed effort. This is more her level.

The final shortlist selection for horse racing tips is GELLHORN who had a very good, progressive summer.

Her form did slip the last twice, but there were clear excuses for her on her latest run, which was at Ayr on a shorter distance a week ago.

Gellhorn has won a couple of times this season at this venue.

There’s a good renewal in play for the Rose Bowl Stakes on Thursday at Newmarket. MAX VEGA is certainly one to watch.

This is calmer waters than what Max Vega generally finds himself in, so he should have a big run in him.

On his latest, Max Vega took fifth in the Ebor, luck not totally going his way on the day.

He has won before at Newmarket and this is further in trip for him. If he handles it, Max Vega is likely to be in the thick of it.

NAYEF ROAD drops in grade and is still looking to find that spark for this year.

2021 has not seen him quite live up to his 2020 levels. But he’s been running with credit and not to be totally counted out of this one.

The other big player in the field could be ROBERTO ESCOBARR who was a spot back from Max Vega in the Ebro recently at York.

Roberto Escobarr is a good one, but he finds himself now with extra work being 2lb worse off to that particular rival. He’s won at Listed level already this season.

There are plenty with claims in this very interesting Newmarket handicap on Thursday. Topping the list for horse racing tips is BOLTAWAY.

He’s been wonderfully progressive this season and completed a hattrick of handicaps in July, rounding off at Yarmouth.

He was below his best at Pontefract on his latest but has been away for more than a month so should come back recharged.

TRIBAL ART is an obvious big player for this one as well. He comes up on a trip a bit, which looks as it will suit.

There’s been three wins from five efforts this season, the latest of those coming at Carlisle two weeks ago.

C’EST NO MORE may have enough to fight his way into the picture. He has scored twice this season, at Goodwood and Salisbury.

He was put into a tough contest last time out and he never looked as if he would get any closer than the fourth-place finish that he took. Place claims should be on the table though.

O ‘CONNELL STREET picked up a victory in a maiden hurdle on his penultimate run. For his follow up he was then sent chasing.

That was in a handicap here at Perth, so has the experience of that. He returns to action after a break of 74 days and commands respect.

MAKKA PAKKA was a runner up on his chase debut a couple of months ago in a handicap fixture. This will be just his third run for a new yard, but he showed some chasing promise.

BRELAN D’AS looks about the best of the rest for this fixture, which frankly doesn’t run deep beyond the main two.

He is just looking as if he’s about to find a good competitive mark after sliding down the weights.

HEAD ON should be a big player as he looks to complete a hattrick. It’s been back to back wins at Worcester for him.

There has been good progress made and he is shaping up very well as a chaser. This is the toughest challenge in this sphere yet, so more will be asked of him.

SPIDER’S BITE was here at Perth on his latest and took a big step to a return to form. He was only narrowly touched off over course and distance.

His mark looks good and he can build on that, in what his first run for a new yard (and carrying a 5lb claimer) Spider’s Bite should be in this.

SLAINTE MHOR fills out the shortlist for horse racing betting. He produced a reasonable fourth-place finish at Kelso, not looking at his sharpest.

But he may have needed that run under his belt.
