The race favourite for this contest is AL SAAIRYAH, currently running at a quote of even money* (betting odds recorded 22:18 GMT on April 28th 2021 at William Hill).

To kick off today’s racing tips we actually have to stick with the favourite.

Al Saariyah will be making her return in this fixture and she looks to be the one to beat as she steps onto the Polytrack for the first time.

On his last appearance, he picked up a nursery win at Yarmouth on a 6f trip. Assuming she comes back in a progressive mood, she is well handicapped here to pick up the victory.

She just shaped well on each of her appearances as a juvenile and there looks like bags more coming from her.

The biggest threat to Al Saariyah that we can see in this fixture is JADWAL who has already had a reappearance run under his belt.

That produced a second of four in a Kempton handicap and he could push on a bit from there.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is an interesting fixture with SPIRIT OF BERMUDA expected to be well in this, and rightly so. She claimed fourth at Newmarket on her reappearance run.

But CRANE is our horse racing tip.

He comes in as the 7/2 second-favourite for Thursday’s run* (betting odds recorded 22:18 GMT on April 28th 2021 at William Hill).

There was a victory for Crane at this distance at Lingfield on his last run, which was New Years’ Eve.

Crane had plenty to spare in the fixture as well and as long as he is sharp on the return to turf here, he should have a strong hand.

During the break, Crane has been gelded as well so there looks plenty more to come from him as well. Trainer Michael Bell has already had an excellent start to the flat season.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is the big fixture of Thursday’s racing at the Punchestown Festival. Right at the head of the market, FLOORING PORTER brings stacks of appeal.

42 days ago he completed a hat-trick by winning the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. That was done by more than three lengths.

It was just an effortless win really as he made it all in a very good time. So Flooring Porter should show strongly again in this one.

He is just a high-class hurdler and the win at Cheltenham was his second at Grade one after taking one at Leopardstown.

Flooring Porter is the 2/1 favourite for the Punchestown Champion Stayers’ Hurdle* (betting odds recorded 22:18 GMT on April 28th 2021 at William Hill). We can’t oppose him.

Flooring Porter’s first win this season came in a valuable Navan handicap. A shift in tactics to being more of a front runner has given him a great lease of life.

As for the rest in this big field, we think that THE STORYTELLER is worth revisiting after excuses at Cheltenham last time out.

There should also be a good competitive run to come from BEACON EDGE who was a credible fourth behind Flooring Porter at the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham.

This is likely to be all about 7/4 shot HAPPY ROMANCE* (betting odds recorded 22:18 GMT on April 28th 2021 at William Hill).

She was last seen at the Fred Darling at Newbury, where she couldn’t quite handle the 7f trip eleven days ago.

But now Happy Romance comes back down in trip and grade and has to be a huge player for this Stakes action.

Looking back to last season she scored an impressive Group 3 victory and that disappointing recent effort at Newbury can easily be forgiven.

There was plenty to like about her as a juvenile and now with a reappearance run out of the way and stepping into calmer waters, she should take this.

The biggest threat to her is likely to be CHOCOYA. She didn’t fancy the 7f trip that she had on her latest run. A previous fourth place at the Nell Gwyn keeps her in this.

This is an excellent, competitive fixture with decent claims from SATONO JAPAN, TRITONIC and DAWAAM on the table.

But we are just rolling with ARIJ who brings winning form into this fixture. Arij scored a very impressive win at Wolverhampton on his latest run.

That was 40 days ago when he bolted up to win by more than four lengths. He does have to deal with a hit of 8lb from the assessor.

But even with that in mind, Arij should show a strong hand in this one. Another feather in his cap is a previous course and distance win.

The race favourite for this handicap is RAVENSCAR and we are going to roll with her to get the win.

Ravenscar will be looking for a bounce-back performance after getting on the struggle bus at Pontefract three weeks ago.

It is a tight call in this fixture to be fair with COSMELLI and LOOK MY WAY in particular losing some decent threats.
