BASCULE is thriving at the moment and will be well supported for another win on Thursday on his return.
A month ago he completed a hattrick with a score here at course and distance. That was a comfortable win taken by a length and a half.
There has been a 4lb rise for Bascule to deal with but he is just super progressive at the moment and well worth another look.
There will likely be a big bold challenge from MOLLIWOOD if he turns up in the mood.
It has been a good year for him, winning three of his last five runs.
The latest of those showed Molliwood in a good fighting mood to take a score at Wolverhampton a month ago.
He comes up 2lb but has a big chance.
The unexposed JUSTUS has claims as well because he has been getting better and better.
He got off the mark in June on his latest run and will step into his handicap debut for a new yard on Thursday with plenty of promise.
MARSHALL PLAN was second at course and distance 35 days ago and is another with more than reasonable claims to get in the frame.
He keeps the headgear on and comes up 1lb after finding only Bascule too good last time out.

There are just the five declared runners for this interesting contest. Most of them do have pretty strong claims.
SKY POWER is looking to add to a win that he took a couple of weeks on the all-weather track at Lingfield.
That wasn’t really much of a challenge for him.
He may have further potential to unlock as he comes up 2lb for Thursday’s run.
HIGH COMMISSIONER makes a return to action and should be a big player if he is tuned up for the run.
High Commissioner is a former course and distance winner and put in a very credible effort for a runner up spot at Lingfield six months ago.
BYFORD is not to be taken lightly in this one either as he opened the season well, winning his first two.
He returned to action a month ago in an 8-runner handicap at Wolverhampton and ran with credit to take fourth. Byford should come on for that.

GUERNESEY may feature strongly in this handicap hurdle as he has had a good year.
There has been a lot of progress made from him this season.
In September Guernesey picked up a course and distance win to get off the mark.
He hasn’t been out of the place since in three runs. He stays at the same mark as he was for a Taunton effort a week ago.
TRANS EXPRESS usually puts things together whenever he shows up at Exeter. He has won six times before at the venue.
He hasn’t been great for a while, but as he has come down in the weights and returns to a track that he likes, he could have claims.
BIRDS OF PREY hasn’t run anywhere for the best part of two years.
He may be worth keeping an eye on in the market as he is from a top yard and has some previous hurdles to note.

If INTERNATIONANGEL runs true to form then the filly may be hard to topple in this handicap.
She is a three-time course and distance winner.
Her form can’t be faulted at the moment, as a win here at Chelmsford City two weeks ago saw her complete a four-timer.
The handicapper has really gotten on Internationalangel’s back now giving her an extra 7lb to work with on Thursday.
But since moving to her new yard, she has been thriving.
PAPA STOUR stays at the same mark as she was when claiming a runner-up spot in a course and distance handicap three weeks ago.
That was a run full of credit and he stays at the same mark. Papa Stour has won from 3lb higher before.
The other to consider for the shortlist is BIG NARTSIE who is coming down in grade as she looks to find her level again.
She struggled in a tougher course and distance handicap three months ago on her latest run. Place claims are there for Big Narstie in this field.

There is a big field in play for the next race of today’s racing tips. ST ERNEY is tried and trusted over course and distance, so should be able to get in the mix.
The conditions should suit him fine on the track, having won before in a course and distance with soft going before. He was in very good shape as he found one too good for him only on his latest run here 25 days ago.
FAUSTINOVICK was super consistent last season, ending his campaign with five straight runner-up sports.
He is still a maiden but if the yard has him tuned up after a wind op then Fast Novick, who can handle this trip and conditions, should bring place claims.
NEW AGE DAWNING rates a danger in this field if he has it all together on the day.
He has not been seen since March 2019 when he won at Chepstow on a 3m trip.
The huge absence will be a little question mark over the chances of New Age Dawning on Thursday, but he is an interesting one in the field without question.
If MORNING SPIRIT puts together a clear round there then is no reason why he could not get heavily involved in this one.
He looks built for chasing and despite a fall on his debut around Aintree 53 days ago, Morning Spirit could be a big player.
NO REMATCH is another in this big field who could have a say. He is a good one from fresh and he returns for the first time since February.
In that run, No Rematch picked up a win at Chepstow after nearly a year away.
So there’s no reason why he can’t be involved but has been moved up 9lb.

The final pick of today’s horse racing tips comes from Exeter. There are few with some decent claims lining up in this one.
TIP TOP MOUNTAIN is one of those as he picked up a win at Ludlow three weeks ago on his chasing debut.
That was a big step forward for him and could have more to come. There’s no guarantee of him backing it up.
ALLARDYCE comes down in grade and that puts him in the picture as well for this contest.
It’s been a while since he has gotten his nose in front.
But he is a good experienced once over the fences and did put in a reasonable shift a month ago at Lingfield.
CASPERS COURT shouldn’t be ruled out. He can come good in this sphere.
There was a hurdles success for him last year and while he is waiting to get off the mark in chasing, brings reasonable claims.
TROED Y MELIN is another who could seriously challenge if he puts everything together on the day. He has won twice before at Exeter and was in good form on a 3m trip here 25 days ago. He rates it as a danger.
