BIGNORM is the current 5/2 favourite for this handicap chase at Chepstow* (betting odds recorded 18:25 GMT on March 24th, 2021 2021 at Bet365).

He scored at Leicester 13 days ago, as he bolted up and ended up winning by 14 lengths. If he is back in that kind of form then he could take some stopping.

Bignorm really flourished coming back in up trip on that latest run and there should be more to come. He moves up 8lb in the ratings.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

HEPBURN should also be a big player in this contest. She has run well defeat in her last two efforts at Fakenham and Chepstow.

So even without a win on the board this season from four efforts, Hepburn should be in this one.

Hepburn was fourth here last time out but ran much better than the result.

The other for the shortlist is going to be WRITE IT DOWN. He picked up a win in August last year but has not been a big threat in any fixtures since then.

So he’s sliding down the ratings and is getting to a point where is going to be on a very workable mark. Write It Down is worth considering for the shortlist.

We have joint 3/1 favourites for this contest at Ludlow* (betting odds recorded 18:25 GMT on March 24th, 2021 2021 at Bet365).

TAKEITEASY opened the season with a victory. Since then he has followed up with decent efforts in defeat.

The most recent of those was at Newbury earlier this month. Takeiteasy has been improving under handicapping and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be in this.

GINISTRELLI has won two of three goes at the hurdles in his career. Following a wind surgery, he struck at Doncaster earlier this month.

That was a comfortable victory recorded by five lengths, adding to success at Uttoxeter. Ginistrelli moves up the ratings 9lb but poses a big threat.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

ROBINSHILL can’t be counted out of this one either. He has a great track record with four victories here.

He failed to make it four wins from four this season when he claimed fourth at the course and distance last month.

The track was heavier though and it could have gotten the better of him. Two of his three wins have been at Ludlow this season.

HIJRAN scored a victory on her return from wind surgery. That was 12 days ago in a mares’ handicap at Hereford.

That was at the 2m distance. Hijran has a 7lb claimer and that recent effort shows that the 8-year-old still has plenty to offer.

He has produced some steady form recently and was last in action 35 days ago at Sandown.

There was a fourth-place for Imphal in that fixture and he returns to action on a fair mark.

He’s not an outstanding favourite however by the looks of what he is up again.

CARO DES FLOS has been sharp recently, claiming a runner up spot in his last two, which were both at Southwell.

So he looks likely to pose a threat. The most recent of those efforts was 17 days ago and definitely warrants some consideration, even though he has managed one victory in 22 runs.

There was a good effort from him 75 days ago when he was last in action. That was at Wincanton when he took third in a 2m handicap hurdle.

That saw him back in form and has now dropped to a career-low mark which should help.

He turns up for trainer Kim Bailey looking to complete a hattrick.

It’s been four wins in his five starts this season and wind surgery during his break looks to have made a world of difference.

El Presente jumps up 6lb in the rating following his latest win, which was 138 days ago at Wincanton in a field of 13.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

KING OF REALMS is really looking to find form in this sphere. It’s been poor stuff from him in chasing for a while now, stretching back to the previous campaign.

King Of Realms won a jumpers bumper on his latest run though.

CHECKITOUT put in a commanding run to score at Southwell in a handicap chase a month ago.

That was a fantastic performance out of the blue from him.

It will be really interesting to see if he can back it up, and he looks the biggest threat to the favourite.

CAPELAND struggled on his latest run. But there are possible excuses for the last two misfires.

There was a win earlier this season for him at Wincanton where he thrives. He has lowered his sights in this one, so could be interesting.

There was a win for Good Boy Bobby to open the season with.

He has been flitting between chasing and hurdling, but his return to the hurdles last time out at Wetherby was a disappointing affair.

He finished in fourth in that one but drops down in grade here, so may find the waters a little calmer.

There are a few in this field who are looking for a bit of redemption. FAIR MOUNTAIN is another who wasn’t at his best last time out.

That was almost four months ago when he was fifth at Taunton. His form fell away at the end of 2020. The break may have perked him up.

MINELLA TRUMP has at least been consistent with back to back third-place finishes.

He does have a previous course and distance win under his belt, which no-one else in the field has. Has recently switched back to the timbers and could have more to offer.

ECOSSAIS looks like a major threat in the field as well. There was a good consistent winter of form from him.

He also scored recently at Southwell for his third win in five.

The other key player in this field is WILLIAM OF ORANGE who was also a winner last time out. That was a score 23 days ago for a new yard at Catterick.

He looked really refreshed and fitter in that contest. William Of Orange is on the kind of mark where he should be competitive.
