We fire up today’s horse racing tips with a look at MISSCARLETT who looks a strong 5/1 selection* (betting odds recorded 23:41 GMT on July 12th 2021 at Coral). She produced a surprise victory at Uttoxeter last time out.

That was an impressive one as well, albeit out of the blue. She had only been carrying modest form on the flat and over the timbers before that success. But if she’s back near that level, Misscarlett should have a big say here.

BALLYMILAN gets some headgear for the first time here. There was a very good effort from her two weeks ago over course and distance. She took second and those cheekpieces could prove key.

FORCHENA is an obvious selection for the shortlist as she is sitting on a hat trick. A big burst of form has seen her score at Hexham and Huntingdon. It was such a comfortable win last time out though, the handicapper has hit her hard with 7lb.

This is just about as wide open as it could possibly be. There are decent claims to be made for each of these.

BBOLD was runner up at Worcester last time out. It was a good run from him still and he is on a very workable mark.

There is form from YEAVERING BELLE as well who made a very encouraging start to chasing last time out. She carded a second place in that run at Worcester in May and further improvement should be coming.

He’s thriving at the moment having taken back to back wins. The latest of those was over the hurdles here last month. Both of those wins were at this venue and delivered by a wide margin.

So Dreamsundermyfeet is easily on the radar. GENERATION GAP is an interesting one to watch. He gets the blinkers on for the first time. He wasn’t in top form last time out, but the gear could help him out.

The final pick for the shortlist is going to be COURT DUTY. He looks to be on a very competitive mark. The three-time chase winner looked to be back somewhere near top form with a first at Newton Abbot three weeks ago.

There are some strong claims from a few in this one. UGO GREGORY is a course and distance winner and carries form into the contest.

That C&D Was in June and he has followed up with a couple of good place efforts since then. The other with plenty of C&D form is PROUD ARCHI.

He has scored three times at course and distance. The visor goes on for the first time as he looks for just a little more after back to back finishes in his last two, the latest of those at Thirsk two weeks ago.

He wouldn’t be winning out of turn with good form and a good mark to boot. Coming back up on the trip he rates a danger.

This is quite a strong handicap. GOLDEN FLAME is the favourite and there are obvious claims there having won two of his last three. There was a let down for him in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot but could offer a lot of back handicapping.

But we have a lot of interest piqued by PLATFORM NINETEEN at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 23:41 GMT on July 12th 2021 at Coral).

Of the four wins that he recorded in 2019, two of them were over course and distance. He missed the 2020 campaign so stays low mileage. He’s clearly an interesting player if he is on it after such a long break.

The final shortlist selection will be BEN LILLY who was last seen in the Ascot Gold Cup. There’s a drop in grade for him on Tuesday and that pulls him into the picture.
