There is some good variety around for today’s horse racing tips as we take a look at the racecards from Ayr, Newcastle and Plumpton.
There’s national hunt action from Ayr and Plumpton, while Newcastle features some good handicap races on the flat.

FOSTER’SISLAND looks as if can be right in the frame in this one at Ayr on Tuesday. He has hit top form the last twice.
It’s been back to back wins for Fosters’island who should go well once again, despite having an extra 7lb to work with.
Foster’sisland took his latest win a month ago in an Ayr handicap beating Blow by Blow who he faces once again.
SERIOUS EGO should be better for having had his recent appearance run under his belt.
That resulted in a second-place finish at Hexham over the hurdles a month ago.
That was after a break of seven months and that is plenty of encouragement to take from that one. There are placer claims for Serious Ego.
LORD OF KERAK steps into the handicapping scene for the first time and looks to have some potential.
He was coming along over the hurdles in novice efforts well last season including taking a win at Uttoxeter. He returns following a long break since April, but he’s had a wind op.
QUEST FOR LIFE can’t be dismissed from this one either. He had a very nice and understated return to form at Wetherby 38 days ago and could kick on from that.

There are plenty with claims in his one including SHANROE AL C who comes up 6lb after a recent success.
That win was taken at course and distance 35 days ago, again producing some cracking form in Britain.
Shanroe Al C has won four of five runs in Britain now. He should be back in the mix.
STRONG ECONOMY generally gives a very good account of himself when he turns up at Ayr, so he is worth considering for the shortlist.
He won a couple of times here last season in some heavy conditions and will look for a revival after pulling up in the Borders National last time out.
SCOOP THE POT won at Newcastle two weeks ago. The veteran made the most of having fallen down the weight to get that.
He comes back up 4lb but should give a good account of himself.
JUGE ET PARTI has had a very good season over the fences this season. This may demand more of him, but with two wins in his last three, the form is there. He takes his first run since a good third at Carlisle in October.

It’s a change of venue as we go to Newcastle next for today’s horse racing tips. It’s a small field of four for this one.
VINDOBALA won at this venue on her latest, which was just 10 days ago.
She looked as good as ever in that one and she should be able to handle a fair 2lb rise to remain competitive.
MASKED IDENTITY completed a hattrick with a win at Southwell 11 days ago. It was another commanding performance from him in that one.
Given that Masked Identity is thriving right now, he can’t be overlooked.
TESTON got the blinkers for the first time and was a runner up at Kempton two days ago. He hasn’t won this year, but as long as this isn’t too soon, could mix it up.
STAR SHIELD also looks competitive after a win at the course and distance three weeks ago. That was a step forward and could have more to offer.

ORBAAN’s latest effort can probably be excused as he finished well down the field at Lingfield in a conditionals event. Nothing about that race went in his favour.
He should have a reasonable chance of a revival on Tuesday thanks to the handicapper being lenient with him.
Orbaan looks for his first win this year.
MAYWAKE has barely put a foot wrong this season and picked up a course and distance win last month.
He comes up 5lb and he just looks to be in fantastic heart at the moment.
LEAD STORY is another course and distance winner who brings hot form to the table. She was second to Maywake three weeks ago at C&D.
Lead Story looks slightly more progressive and is getting better and better all the time.
SAADAH has won the course and distance three times before. The most recent was a couple of weeks ago and therefore should also have big claims in this competitive race.
TOMMY TAYLOR was beaten by a long way against Maywake at the course and distance three weeks ago.

This looks wide open. ON MY COMMAND picked up a win on his return for a new yard two months ago.
She took that win in a Market Rasen novice.
This will be the handicap debut for On My Command and she looks to have been given a reasonable chance by the handicapper.
She is a former course winner.
BLARNEY BATELEUR returns for the first time in seven months.
She did pick up some excellent form earlier this year, however. So if she is finely tuned for her return, there’s a chance for her.
SACRE COEUR is also worth a look. On her debut for a new year, she took a second-place finish at Bangor in October.
The change of yard looks potentially huge for her and is well worth a look.
SHUNTUNG had a good return to form on her latest effort, while GOLDEN EMBLEM could be helped out a lot having been eased 2lb.
RUBY YEATS is 5lb down on her last winning mark and is no forlorn hope either.

TEA TIME ON MARS looks to be finding his feet well enough this season to rate as a danger. He was third on his reappearance.
Then he followed that up with a late burst to take another third-place finish on his latest at Exeter last month. Tea Time On Mars may not be too far away.
WIGGLESWORTH has failed to complete the last twice. He hasn’t gotten his jumping game together too well lately.
But when he completes he is usually in the frame and he opened his account over the fences at Worcester in October. Wigglesworth’s current mark gives him a chance.
EXOD’ELA is the final shortlisted selection for this race. He is 2lb down and comes back down on the trip.
He didn’t have a finish in him at Hexham last month but dug in there for a fourth. That was his first run in a long time and also his chase debut.
