Today’s Horse Racing Tip

It’s a small field up first for today’s horse racing tips. HARSWELL DUKE is the 2/1 favourite for it* (betting odds recorded 19:08 GMT on 21st June 2021 at Bet365).

A month ago he produced a good run to get a score at Musselburgh. The drop in trip should not be a problem for him.

This will be the handicap debut for him and he comes in at a workable mark of 84.

The handicapper hasn’t been so lenient on main rival BRAVADO though, which could just keep him out of this.

The form has been there for Bravado this season in stronger fields than this, but he produced a poor run at Goodwood last time out.

This is a competitive handicap with SOUL SEEKER and EEH BAH GUM both having strong claims.

The latter gets the cheekpieces on for the first time as he looks to build on a good third at Nottingham a week ago, while Soul Seeker has won a couple of times this season.

But preference over them is NEVER DARK at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 19:08 GMT on 21st June 2021 at Bet365).

This is a second run for his new yard and put in a good show to claim a runner up place at Musselburgh on his season opener.

Never Dark stays at the same mark and is well worth considering to back to back on from his positive reappearance effort.

The 8/11 odds-on favourite KEEP BUSY looks the way to go* (betting odds recorded 19:08 GMT on 21st June 2021 at Bet365).

She was last seen a week ago, putting in a very credible effort to take a fifth-place finish in the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot.

That was a very encouraging effort from her and she comes into calmer waters here. That Royal Ascot form backs up some good form from last season and Keep Busy won’t likely be far away.

WISE WORDS also brings nice form to the table after narrowly missing out in a Listed contest at Bath 67 days ago. If she shakes off the absence, she should be a threat.

DICKIEDOODA was second on her latest effort, which was over course and distance two weeks ago.

She is a former Listed winner and can get herself right in the thick of this if she reproduces that form from last time out.

DARLING MALTAIX looks like an obvious strong contender for this handicap chase test. The eight-year-old will have his first run since a wind op.

Last summer he was in terrific form, collecting a couple of wins in bold efforts at Stratford and Ludlow.

But we are pulling more towards the value of PILBARA at 3/1 as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 19:08 GMT on 21st June 2021 at Bet365).

He was last seen in a very strong novice handicap at Ayr in which he took second place. That was a very encouraging effort.

Pilbara will be going for a new yard for the first time and is now with Suzy Smith. If the gelding taps into that eye-catching form from last month, he has a big shout in this field.

Since coming into handicapping he has made mistakes and now connections have thrown the cheekpieces on for the first time to sharpen him up.

That could do the trick for him and he is worth a look in this one we feel. DESIGN ICON is another of the obvious key players here.

This will be the handicap debut for him, but he scored an excellent win in a Market Rasen maiden last time out.

This is a big step up in the trip for him but shaped well enough to look like he can handle it.

Another strong competitive fixture for the day to pull a horse racing tip from. PUCKLE is our 7/2 pick* (betting odds recorded 19:08 GMT on 21st June 2021 at Bet365).

That’s based on her coming down in distance which we think will play to her advantage. The form is certainly there from her.

Puckle missed out on a hattrick last time as she claimed a third-place finish at Carlisle. But one of her wins this season was at course and distance.

MAJALAAT has form on side as well after a good second on a yard debut last time out. He is just 2lb from that effort and has a good chance.

ZIHAAM is worth consideration for the shortlist as well. He has won four times over course and distance.

He was at C&D last time out but had a bad day at the office, never really settling. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get things back together at a place where he thrives.
