There was a third-place finish for him on his latest effort, which was 116 days ago. He produced some useful form over the hurdles last season.

That latest run was a chasing debut at Uttoxeter in which he went pretty well.

There was enough to suggest that there is going to be more to come on the switch back to the smaller stuff.

MASTERS LEGACY gets the nod at 3/1* (betting odds recorded 23:49 GMT on February 22nd, 2021 at William Hill).

He is a former course and distance winner and steps into handicapping for the first time.

There’s been a break of 13 months for him, but Masters Legacy is well worth considering to pull out a bold run on his hurdles debut.

PIC D’ORSAY is the other selection for the shortlist. The 2020 Betfair Hurdle winner made a positive start over the fences on his reappearance run this season.

That has not been followed up since in a couple of runs and a switch back to the hurdles could spark him back into life after a wind surgery as well.

He claimed a second-place finish over course and distance on his last run.

The victory was there for the taking really, but he didn’t get over the last jump cleanly enough.

But still, Storm Home was only edged out by a head. So another bold run will be expected from him on Tuesday and he could be the one to beat.

SANDY BOY may have something to offer after a second-place here at Taunton in November.

He hasn’t quite been back to that kind of form and pulled up on his latest effort which was at Exeter on a 3m trip. Sandy Boy never settled in that one so needs a bounce back.

JEAN GENIE is the other one for the shortlist as he makes a return from a win op. He does also have the tongue tie on for the first time.

He has had a couple of good chase efforts this season but was below par on his latest at Doncaster. Jean Genie is another that needs to bounce back.

SEXY LOT is interesting as she has been rolling out some super consistent form.

It has been back to back runner up spots for her in her last two, the most recent of those was at Ffos Las 19 days ago.

The step back up on the trip is likely to help her and it is expected that she will be in the frame.

RUNASIMI RIVER is on a dangerous mark at the moment, so a bold bid is expected from her as well.

She rattled the crossbar with a good run at Doncaster 43 days ago, finding only one too good in that one.

He took a win at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and kept on well in that one at the 7f trip.

DIOCLES OF ROME went well on a course and distance effort 42 days ago. He did have Sanaadh ahead of him in that one.

But Diocles receives a couple of pounds from that rival in this one and he is a good battler. Diocles Of Rome is a former course and distance winner.

That was a handicap at the 6f distance a week ago when he was runner up. He is down 2lb now and therefore has to feature strongly we think.

NORTH WIND receives 3lb from Kind Review so that should put him in the picture as well.

He was beaten by that rival over course and distance 12 days ago when his challenge was a little late coming after being held up.

Based on that run he could get in the reckoning again.

The final selection is BE PROUD who rattled off a good third place in a handicap here behind winner Kind Review.

That was 12 days ago, but Be Proud stays at the same mark and he never had a chance with a poor position in that latest effort.
