Today’s horse racing tips for Tuesday brings our top six selections forward from the action that is happening up and down the country.

We are looking at Doncaster, Kelso and Newbury for our horse racing tips for the day.

The pick of the day’s racing is the Yorkshire Silver Vase Mares’ Chase (Listed) from Doncaster and the Grade 1 Challow Novices’ Hurdle from Newbury.

Heading up the market for this one currently is ETERNALLY YOURS at 3/1* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

There was a promising reappearance run from her as she showed up at Aintree just over three weeks ago. After a 9 month break Eternally Yours took a second place finish on that 20f trip.

The mare does go up a couple of pounds from that effort, but that appears to be well workable based on what she produced on that reappearance effort. She is definitely on the shortlist.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

DANCEWITHTHEWIND is a principal danger in this contest. He has been coming along brilliantly this season with back to back wins having been landed since late summer.

So he is on the up without question and has been here since scoring at Newcastle 46 days ago. This will be a step up in trip for him, and he looks full of promise.

The final selection is LEOSTAR who needs a bounce back performance. He scored on his penultimate run which was here in a handicap hurdle last month.

But Leostar disappointed a little bit on his follow up race as he went to Ayr off a higher mark. A 7lb claimer could help out and place claims may be there.

Race Favourite

This is one of the big feature races of the day. CASABLANCA MIX is the current 3/1 favourite* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

It has been back to back runners up places from the Nicky Henderson mare. She is a very smart chaser, but just looking for that little bit more.

She’s not been far away and Casablanace Mix will get the cheek pieces on. We expect her to go well but on her last run she found Chilli Filli too good for her in a Listed Chase at Market Rasen.

What could help her turn the tables on that opponent is the drop down in trip and she is 2lb better off than Chilli Filli this time around.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MY OLD GOLD is worth a look in the race which is actually stacked full of claims. On her last run she was out at Carlisle landing a 20f score there.

My Old Gold had held off Chilli Filli there to beat the opponent by a length and a half.

So that gives her big claims here and that was a big return to top form. That was a Listed fixture win.

The other that we throw on the shortlist is ANNIE MC because this looks an easier test than what she has faced this season against geldings.

She was really powering along over the fences last season and on her latest run she wasn’t disgraced with a fifth place finish at Cheltenham.

Back aginast her own sex and with the headgear still on, she has a chance.

CEDAR HILL is the current 2/1 favourite for this contest* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

He missed out on a hattrick for the season last time out as he was beaten on a longer trip at Newcastle.

So he will probably appreciate the drop back in trip here.

Cedar Hill scored back to back course and distance wins in October/November so he brings strong claims to the table.

With an unbeaten record here at Kelso, he should be in the mix.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

LAKE TAKAPUNA is going to be the selection here though at 10/3* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

He scored over course and distance in September on what was his reappearance run. That was his first effort at the venue as well.

He was beaten at Doncaster last month but it was a very respectacle run. He can strike the score here.

Rounding off the shortlist will be Defi Sacre who was a little below par in taking third last time out at Doncaster on a 2m trip.

He is better than that as proven last season over the fences when he nailed a hattrick.

Lake Takapuna hasn’t quite been at his sharpest but doesn’t look to be too far away from putting something positive together.

He is lining up a big shot at hattrick as he continues his final season.

Cuban Pete opened the season with a score at Stratford and then followed up at Hereford in an easy trip for him. Cuban Pete gets a 9lb hike in the ratings because of his form this season, but he’s in great heart right now.

He thrives under his big tests of stamina like this one and he has to feature as one of the key dangers in this field.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

KINGS MONARCH opened the season with a good score. That was at Ffos Las in a field of seven. That was a comfortable, steady start for him.

He pulled up on his follow up effort at Haydock where he was struggling badly. But the conditions were terrible and he can easily be forgiven for that one.

The other selection for this chase action is MANOFTHEMOUTAIN as he looks to return to winning ways.

He scored on his reappearance run for the season. His follow up was then at Cheltenham in a stiff effort which was won by Frodon.

ManOfTheMountain was fourth in that 3m 1f contest as the favourite and there’s definite appeal there from 6/1* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

We have STAR GATE at the head of the market for this Grade 1 trip on Tuesday. He is the current 2/1 market leader* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

He is bringing with him some wonderful form having scored on both trips this season for trainer Evan Williams.

The exciting prospect delivered in a Grade 2 contest in fine fashion last time out in a field of three.

This is a bigger challenge for him and there are very strong claims coming in from elsewhere.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

It is BRAVEMANSGAME who gets the nod from us as the selection at 9/4* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 28th December 2020 at William Hill).

He is making a step up in class as he competes in this fixture. But he’s worth a look.

He only just missed out on a win at Chepstow on his reappearance and then responded with back to back wins at Exeter and Newbury. Bravemansgame is a huge threat.

WILDE ABOUT OSCAR is a straight forward, no-nonsense horse and may be able to raise his game a little bit.

He has secured back to back wins for the season as well and those were contests at Uttoxeter and then Aintree.

This is a much bigger ask for him coming up on trip, but he’s likeable and could have a say.

He opened the season with a decent effort in the Greatwood at Cheltenham last month.

He looks great to take on the fences here and he was sixth in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham earlier this year.

The switch to handicapping is just fascinating as he’s a supremely talented horse. Will he get it right at the first time of asking?

VADO FORTE has won over course and distance this season from a field of eight under rules. That was 17 days ago and he put in some determined work on that occasion.

He gets a 5lb rise for his effort at this venue and should be well back in the frame. He looks tobe carrying an exciting threat.

FAST BUCK is the other that could pose a threat to the favourite in this contest. He was travelling well on his chase debut at Hereford 17 days ago.

That was also his first run for his new yard. Fast Buck took a tumble in that effort but the switch to handicapping suits him and he is stacked with potential.
