Today’s Horse Racing Tips & Odds – Tuesday, 2nd March 2021

Today’s horse racing tips for Tuesday come from three different race tracks.

We have jumps action from Catterick and Leicester as well as flat action from Newcastle.

One of the feature races of the day is the 15:10 at Leicester which is a Novices’ Handicap Chase featuring a fascinating field headed up by Destin D’ajonc.

So here is the best of today’s horse racing tips for Tuesday, 2nd March 2021.

ASK PADDY is the current 9/4 market leader for this contest at Catterick* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 1st March 2021 at Bet365).

He was in ripe form last year and part of a winning streak he put together involved a win in his race.

Slowly but surely he looks as if he has been getting back to that kind of form.

Ask Paddy claimed a third place finish on his latest run, which was here at Catterick.

He looked here and should be right back in the frame for this one as well.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CAVENTARA could have a good chance in this one as well.

He was looking in decent enough shape last time out at Kelso, until he produced a big mistake to knock him back down the field.

Caventara has been fairly lightly raced in the last twelve months or so, but has it in him to launch a bold bid.

The final selection for the shortlist is going to be ANOTHER EMOTION.

On his penultimate run he scored a good victory in a Wetherby chase which was back in January.

He enjoyed himself on that return to 3m to get off the mark. His follow up at Warwick was poor though with jumping form.

The current 3/1 market leader for this contest is FIRST MAN* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 1st March 2021 at Bet365).

He missed out on a hat-trick on his latest run which was Wincanton 10 days ago.

He had landed at win at Huntingdon and had then followed up with another score despite losing his footing a bit at Wincanton.

So he should still enter calculations in this because he has been in excellent, consistent from this season and piques plenty of interest making the return to the hurdles.

GOLD RUNNER is in with a big shout in this contest after a score at Southwell recently.

That was eight days ago and he has been in top form since moving back to the hurdles.

Gold Runner does get a penalty for that Southwell victory 8 days ago but he had plenty in hand in getting that score.

WBEE is the other one for the shortlist in this contest. He was third here at Catterick on his latest effort which was last month.

RELKADAM is the current 4/5 favourite for the Glentham Handicap Chase* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 1st March 2021 at Bet365).

He collected a win after benefitting from a drop in both weights and grade to score a handicap chase here in December.

On his most recent trip he was back in the winner’s circle at Wetherby last week.

There is a 7lb penalty for the runner in this one, but should have a big say in this one after winning by 11 lengths at Wetherby last time out.

Rekaldam is the one to beat.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MISS AMELIA looks to the obvious threat to the favorite in his contest having scored twice in her last three runs.

The mare picked up a win at Bangor in October and then was even better two races later when delivering her fourth chase success at Carlisle a couple of weeks ago.

There’s a 5lb penalty and Miss Amelia is a big player.

PULL GREEN could bring decent place claims to the table in this fixture. He has plenty of scope for improvement still in this sphere.

Pull Green won over the hurdles at Catterick last season and opened his account in chasing with a second place finish at Musselburgh in November.

He was never in the frame in a recent jumpers bumper, but he’s capable of a bold run.

Heading up the market for this exciting contest is DESTIN D’AJONC at 6/5* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 1st March 2021 at Bet365).

He collected a win 25 days ago on his last run when he cruised to the finish line first at Chepstow. He just wasn’t under pressure at all after getting over the last.

That was the first win in Britain for Destin D’ajonc and he now comes up 7lb in the ratings. He looks good enough to defy that.

BRIANSTORM didn’t figure at Doncaster on his latest run, really churning out a poor performance.

But there could be an excuse in that it just came too soon after a very strong 19.2f trip at Exeter in which he had claimed second place.

Brainstorm does look to be on a very handy mark in this sphere without question.

Another who needs to bounce back a little bit is SOMEKINDOFSTORM after a disappointing effort at Warwick over the hurdles.

That was just a week after winning a handicap chase at Market Rasen, so that could have been too soon for him.

Somekindofstorm still looks to have plenty of promise about him in this sphere.

It has been back to back second place finishes for him, the most recent of those being just three days ago at Lingfield.

Even though this is a quick turnaround, he’s not without a chance of going a little better and getting a win.

That having been said we are opposing the favourite.

CULTURE is our 10/3 horse racing betting tip for this race* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Monday, 1st March 2021 at Bet365).

He got a score by a neck at Kempton on his penultimate run and is up 4lb from that.

On his reappearance run this season there was a credible third place in a Kempton handicap 36 days ago.

Culture makes his Tapeta debut and also a new yard debut.

HOME BEFORE DUSK gets on the shortlist as well for this one and he has a good track record at Newcastle having won four times before at the venue.

He was at Newcastle two weeks ago when he finished 4th of 8 in a fixture that was a little much for him.

Home Before Dusk is 5lb down on his last winning mark.

There was a win for her last time out as she picked up a success at Hereford two weeks ago.

If she is anywhere back near that form she is likely to be very close to completing a double.

ARQALINA got that win in a decisive manner so does pose a big threat in this fixture. One question mark will be her previous failures off of this handicap.

BORO BABE brings plenty of interest to the table here. She was second in a Ffos Las handicap in February on her latest start.

She looks like a very good chaser and just like the favourite, a reproduction of the most recent form puts her smack in the frame.

Boro Babe just edges this is as our 9/2 horse racing tip .

EPISODE went close on her latest attempt in the chasing sphere.

That was at Fakenham in December and there looked plenty of future promise to come now.

That was easily her career best in the sphere. Just under two weeks ago she had a go in a NH flat race at 2m and finished second from last.

This is more her scene and can’t be written off.
