PRIDE OF AMERICA landed a win on his latest run, which was at this distance at Newcastle.

That was a fine start for his new stable and there is likely more to come from him.

Pride Of America may be worth looking at for a follow-up.

PETER THE GREAT looks like a good prospect and makes his first run of the new season on Tuesday.

There were two wins in three novices at the start of things last season and should be stronger now.

That fine progress saw him sent off as the favourite at Newmarket in July last year and was fifth in one of the strongest 3-year-old handicaps of the season.

INJAZATI completed a fine hattrick when scoring at Newbury in September, making all in that race.

The four-timer didn’t happen for him as he was pushed up to 12f at Newmarket which looked to be a bit too far. The drop in trip and maturity should help.

Tip: PETER THE GREAT 2/1

Ones to watch: Injazati 7/4, Pride Of America 8/1

BUCKSHAW VILLAGE may have plenty to offer in handicaps this season as a 3-year-old.

He did rattle the crossbar in a Haydock maiden on his final start of the previous campaign.

During his long break, Buckshaw Village has had a win and could go well.

POCKET THE PROFIT claimed a four-timer in a fine run of form last season. That was a rapid four wins in the space of a couple of weeks in nurseries.

He could make it five in a row as he ran out of steam.

But now nice and refreshed and stronger as a 3-year-old, there are claims there.

LETHAL LEVI was a runner up at course and distance last October part of a very consistent campaign.

As a juvenile, Lethal Levi wasn’t outside of the top three in any of his eight starts. He also comes from last year’s winning yard.

Tip: BUCKSHAW VILLAGE 13/2

Ones to watch: Lethal Levi 4/1, Pocket The Profit 11/4

CORNERSTONE LAD is a course winner at Pontefract and makes the switch back to the flat after a novice chase at Catterick a month ago.

The cheekpieces are going back on for Tuesday and this is interesting on just his second flat run over two miles.

Throughout his campaign Cornerstone Lad has been better in National Hunt than on the flat.

WYNFORD was a wonderful consistent performer last season and was last seen over the jumps 11 days ago.

There was a course and distance victory for Wynford in October from 5lb lower. He’s so consistent that there are claims there.

MUKHA MAGIC retains some gear and he could have some solid claims on Tuesday at Pontefract.

Mukha Magic is on a long winless run that stands at 17. There have been some credible efforts recently that could be strong enough to get in the frame.

Tip: WYNFORD 7/4

Ones to watch: Cornerstone Lad 7/2, Mukha Magic 7/1

NORMANDY SOLIDER returns for the first time since a gruelling effort here at Exeter in December.

In November Normandy Soldier scored over the fences at course and distance. Come back refreshed, he warrants a spot on the shortlist.

ONE FOR DUNSTAN can be a little hit and miss, but he will be going from a very competitive mark on Tuesday.

He’s been sliding down the ratings having pulled up in four of his last five. He may well level out and pose a threat.

CARRIGREADY was a faller on his latest run. That was on his first run for a new yard and it was over the hurdles.

He was running well in the contest to be fair before he went down.

Carrigready now goes back to chasing and is weighed fairly.

Tip: NORMANDY SOLDIER 11/4

Ones to watch: One For Dunstan 7/1, Carrigready 28/1 e/w

MASON JAR claimed a third palace finish at Sedgefield a month ago on his comeback run after a break.

The race didn’t pan out in his favour, but he should be sharper for this.

Mason Jar is now down 3lb giving him a chance.

TRIXTER claimed a win at Tauon in February and then followed that up with a third-place finish at Market Rasen.

He returns at the same mark and there is a 3lb claimer on his back as well.

A follow up to a strong Taunton effort is a reasonable probability.

AVIEWTOSEA took a win on his hurdles debut at Bangor at the end of last season in a maiden.

On his return, he put in a strong fourth-place finish at Ludlow.

Aviewtosea was then pushed into handicapping for the first time on his latest.

That didn’t work out as he was pulled up. But there’s form there before that which could see him run into the picture.

Tip: TRIXSTER 10/3

Ones to watch: Mason Jar 11/8, Aviewtosea 12/1

HILLVIEW is one of the leading contenders in this competitive-looking handicap fixture at Southwell.

There was a great course and distance score from him two weeks ago after he returned from a break.

There’s been a 5lb rise now and Hillview looks very competitive.

SIGNAL POINT is interesting on her handicap debut on Tuesday. She will need to find some improvement.

Signal Point did land a debut hurdles success here at Southwell in January.

There were weak finishes from her on her two follow-ups and is moved up in trip here which could suit her a little better.

ALL THUMBS UP makes a return from a break of around 9 months but goes for a new year on what will be his handicap debut.

All Thumbs Up did show some decent form in defeat last season over Ireland in maiden hurdles efforts. He could put himself in the picture.

Tip: HILLVIEW 9/4

Ones to watch: Signal Point 11/4, All Thumbs Up 11/2
