STORM OF LIGHT has been going well recently and doesn’t appear too far away from landing another win.
He opened his account at Uttoxeter in November on his penultimate run.
There was a handicap debut for him at Leicester 55 days ago on which he took a credible third. Storm Of Light should put together another good run.
SCHALKE is worth considering for the shortlist in this one as he could be helped out by what should be a stiffer test.
Progress over the hurdles hasn’t quite been as rapid as connections would have liked, but there has still been an improvement.
Schalke has been going in the right direction and it may all come together sooner rather than later for him.
LE GRAND LION will get a sterner test in this one than the one he faced in landing a win last time out at Huntingdon.
That was on Boxing Day in which he had the cheekpieces on for the first time.
There has only been a 2lb rise for him, and again, this is a tougher assignment but place claims could be there.

BRAINSTORM is likely to be a big player as long as he turns up in the right mood at Market Rasen on Tuesday.
He has been very lightly raced recently and will make his first run since October last year when he was pulled up.
The break may have done him so good and Brainstorm comes from a top yard.
If the pieces fall into place, there is a chance in this thin field.
GUETAPAN COLLONGES is going in the right depiction over the fences and scored at Wetherby last month.
There is a 9lb rise for him following that win because it was an impressive one. He’d gone well over the hurdles the previous season and clearly has versatility.
CRACKING FIND could find something in this one as well, as long as he brings his top form.
He has been putting in some credible runs recently, apart from a dreadful effort at Wetherby on his latest.
A bounce back is needed, but Cracking Find did score last spring from 1lb higher at Newcastle.

TARA ITI landed a win on his latest effort, which was a 2m trip at Plumpton in a handicap race.
There has been a 7lb rise handed to the gelding now. But he’s from a top yard and he’s unexposed, so Tara Iti needs to be respected.
THE CINCINNATI KID struggled on his latest run at Wincanton which was a month ago. The race wasn’t in his favour at all, so can be excused.
There is a good course and distance effort over the hurdles for him in November, the Cincinnati Kid taking the fourth place in that. Top jockey Brian Hughes is booked.
SWEET SPIRIT comes in as the best of the rest here as she has put some credible runs together with the last twice.
While credible, back to back fourth place finishes saw her not get anywhere near a win. But handicapping could help her a ton

HIGHEST SUN was a runner up when last seen, which was a while ago. Back in May last year he took that runner up finish.
SO Highest Sun will have to surf off a break of 9 months.
But this is a mark that shouldn’t be beyond him and he also gets the first run for a new yard.
WIGGLESWORTH could make his presence felt, although he has been struggling to complete races.
Wigglesworth did look to be in the frame when losing his rider through no fault of his own at Doncaster last time out. This should be within his scope.
TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS is worth a look at as well because he looks to now be on a handy mark.
He’s been sliding because his last two efforts have been well below the effort he showed when finishing as a runner up at Wetherby in November.
A revival to his best form would sincerely put him in this given his mark.

CROSSRAIL is interesting in this contest as she looks to follow up on a successful debut, which was last Spring at Worcester.
The form comes from her debut win at Worcester in which she beat two subsequent winners over the timbers.
There has been a wind op for Crossrail during her break and she makes her first foray over the hurdles on Tuesday.
WALK IN CLOVER landed a good win at Leicester a couple of weeks ago on her first run for her new yard.
She looked a vastly improved model in that one, so should be in good hands for David Skelton.
Granted that was a thin race in which she got her win, but Walk In Clover now should have the potential for more.
COOL STONE is the final one on the shortlist of this contest. There was a good debut for her over the hurdles at Wincanton in November.
She has been a heavy favourite to score in her next race but was picked off at Fakenham. She should still make her presence felt.

He got off the mark at just the second time of asking over the timbers a month ago at Ludlow.
That was after a debut runner-up spot at Newbury.
This will be the handicap debut for Dr T J Eckelburg and the handicapper looks to have given him a huge chance.
AMELIA’S DANCE is seeking a hattrick after having found a little more recently.
She comes up 5lb because she cruised a success at course and distance to get her latest win.
Amelia’s Dance needs respect because she had plenty in hand on that latest win.
SOFIA’S ROCK is the final one to get on the shortlist for this Taunton handicap hurdle.
He needs a little revival but has slid down 13lb from his three efforts this season. He is from a top yard so warrants respect still.
