Today’s horse racing tips for Wednesday takes a look at a mix of flat and national hunt action. There is actually a good day of racing happening.

So we have seven horse racing tips for the day here as well look at the cards from Kepmton, Lingfield, Ludlow and Newbury.

Race Favourite

There is ST BARTS at the head of the market at 3/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

He will be looking to push on from a promising reappearance in which he took a second place finish at Exeter.

That was on a 3m handicap just over a month ago. St Barts has always done already in the softer conditions.

So with only a 3lb rise in the ratings from his last run, it’s expected that he will get in the frame after that good chase debut.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

VERSATILITY got his first win over the fences at Ludlow on his last run, which was his third run of the season.

That was also his third run in this sphere. He will be dealing with a 6lb rise which doesn’t look too unreasonable for him to handle.

The other that we like the look of is THEGALLANTWAY as a longer price adoption.

He picked up a win over the fences at Bangor before finding only two too good for him at Exeter.

That was in the race which St Barts finished second in on his last run.

Race Favourite

Heading up this market is ERITAGE at 15/8* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

He has been in fine shape this season having picked up a win on his reappearance effort.

The first run of the season was a score for Eritage at course and distance, so he has to enter calculations again.

Eritage followed up with an excellent second-place finish at Newbury. There’s further progress to come from the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CAID DU LIN does pique some interest again in a race that he won last season.

He is actually 2lb lower in the ratings at the moment then when he scored this 12 months ago.

Part of the reason for that was a struggle at Aintree in the Grand Sefton on his last effort. We don’t think that’s enough to rule him out, however.

We feel that ADMIRAL’S SECRET needs a bit of respect as he ends a 9 month absence to come back into play.

Last season wasn’t without some issues from him, but he finished off the campaign in style, winning back to back fixtures at Leicester and Wincanton.

Admiral’s Secret is a former course and distance winner.

Race Favourite

We have only a small field to look at for this Pertemps Network Mares’ Chase.

MAGIC OF LIGHT is the strong odds-on favourite to collect the win at 4/11* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

She is looking to nail a hattrick of straight wins at this very fixture. So it’s likely that she is going to be difficult to stop.

There has been a reappearance run for Magic Of Light as well, and that was on a shorter trip at Punchestown which didn’t suit her.

The longer trip here certainly will and it’s hard to look past her.

SENSULANO opened the season with a fifth place finish at Cheltenham.

She looked like she needed that run as she was nowhere near the kind of form that she produced last season.

Sensulano performed well over the fences last season. She went up against Magic Of Light at Ascot in January and came off second best.

CARROLLS MILAN has had a couple of good efforts this season.

After a second place finish to open the camping with she then collected a 3m win at Uttoxeter.

That was in a mares’ novice and fortune was on her side on the day there. We think that he has to find a lot on this step up in class.

SPREADSHEET is running as the current favourite for the sprint at Lingfield.

He was last seen here at the venue three weeks ago when he was fourth of 10.

That race was won by COMATCHOO (reopposes). Spreadsheet was never in a position to make a run at the line as he’d sat back for too long.

But there are some dangers lurking in a competitive field for the favourite to deal with.

SIR HECTOR is a former course and distance winner. He also picked up a win at this very distance on his latest run, which was at Chelmsford.

That was his second win of the season and looks to be in great heart at the moment and improving still.

There is a 2lb rise for him to deal with in the ratings, but we think he has a big shot and is our 7/2 selection* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

We are not digging too far down the field in his one. The final selection for the shortlist is VINCENZO COCCOTTI.

He was last seen a month ago when he took second from a field of 11 in a Chelmsford happens.

Vincenzo Coccotti has produced some excellent form this season and with a 5lb claimer can’t be counted out of this.

He landed a second place finish on his last run, a much improved performance.

That was over the fences at Ascot last month and it was a strong showing from him.

Earlofthecotswolds takes a drop in class and combined with the extra trip in this one, he should feature. There has been a 3lb rise for him since his last run.

BUSTER THOMAS is the biggest player in this field. He has been ticking over in some excellent form this season.

Buster Thomas was out at Wincanton on his latest run which was at a 2m 4f trip. He stays at the same mark for this one, which puts him in the frame.

This really isn’t a very strong field. So we are looking at a previous course winner in the rest of the pack.

That is AZZERTI who should find himself at a workable enough mark to bring place claims to the table.

He really hasn’t gotten going for Alan King this season, but having been eased by the assessor may have something to offer.

The current market leader for this contest is UZINCSO at 7/4* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

There has been some tremendous form from him this season which puts him at the head of the market again.

He was last seen delivering a career best in taking a course and distance win just a couple of days ago.

That was the fourth C&D success for Uzincso so he has to be right in the frame. There is a 5lb penalty that he has for the recent win, but he’s bang in form.

DELICATE KISS is also under a 5lb penalty for the run having scored at Lingfield 7 days ago.

That was the fourth win of the year of the mare.

Delicate Kiss is also a former course and distance and has won three of her last six runs.

So she is another in great form and has a 7lb claimer helping out.

The other for the shortlist is ESPRESSO FREDDO who ran very well on his last effort.

That produced a course and distance win for him just two weeks ago. Having been handled very well in that contest he brings promise to the table.

That’s 2 wins from 6 this year and he should be well in the mix.

BRUNEL CHARM is heading up this big field as the current favourite at 15/8* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020).

He comes back to action after having secured back to back third place finishes.

The most recent of those was on a good run here at Kempton a month ago. It was a stern test which was just a little beyond his reach.

But Brunel Charm should be back in the frame on the Polytrack and place claims at the very least are there for the former course winner.

GREY GALLEON is worth a look in this fixture as well. He hit some great form and the extra trip this time around will likely see even more from him.

Grey Galleon last won at Bath back in July and his latest effort was here at Kempton a couple of weeks ago.

He took second in that one, leaving the rest of the pack behind him impressively. Definite 16/1 each way claims are there* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 21:49 GMT on Tuesday, 15th December 2020)..

Former course and distance winner MAYSONG is another for the shortlist.

His last run was 19 days ago when he struggled a little for a position at Chelmsford City.

Overall it was him on his best form, but if the pace is nice and sharp on Wednesday, that will pull him into the picture so he’s worth watching.
