Today’s Horse Racing Tip

Our first horse racing tip of the day is BLACK CENTAUR at 6/1* (betting odds recorded 17:14 GMT on 18th May 2021 at Betfred).

He claimed a win on his last run, which was two months ago at Plumpton. He really benefitted from the blinkers being on for the first time in that contest.

There has been a fair 3lb rise for him as he comes back into action. Naturally, the headgear is retained. Chris Gordon’s gelding won well at Plumpton and never looked likely to let an advantage slip.

The other threats are DANILO D’AIRY and MAX DYNAMO who were both last in action here at Warwick.

The former won that by a whopping nine lengths but is now 14lb worse off against that particular rival.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We have a smaller field here and we are not looking past the 11/10 favourite BLUE RIBBON* (betting odds recorded 17:14 GMT on 18th May 2021 at Betfred).

He picked up a win on his British debut by smashing a field at Worcester by 9 lengths. That was in an 8-runner field.

Blue Ribbon really left the previous form behind in that one and maybe worth backing to push on even further. He will be running under a 7lb penalty on Wednesday.

The pick for the second-place option would be CHAMPAGNE CITY who scored at C&D in March.

He then handled a 6lb rise to get another score back here at Warick 16 days ago, so is on the hunt for a big hattrick.

Those two look the pick of the field as they are the two match-fit runners in the contest.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is the big fixture of the day and our pick is going to be A LA VOILE at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 17:14 GMT on 18th May 2021 at Betfred).

She made her reappearance with a fourth-place finish at Nottingham three weeks ago. That was a nice credible return for her.

A La Voile won her first three starts of the previous campaign and looked to really be on the up. With the reappearance under her belt, we expect more from her.

Other principal threats in the field are BLACK LOTUS who posted a good solid third-place finish at Nottingham on her return, and ARRIVISTE was behind Black Lotus on her reappearance.

Neither are to be taken too lightly.

Looking down the field a little bit more Mick Channon’s KALEIDOSCOPIC looks to have some potential after back to back second places. This is a tougher contest for her, however.

Next up as a horse racing tip for Wednesday is the 4/5 favourite FIDELIO VALLIS* (betting odds recorded 17:14 GMT on 18th May 2021 at Betfred).

He completed a hattrick on his reappearance as he scored at Kempton recently. That was 16 days ago and it was an impressive score as well.

Paul Nicholls’ 6-year-old doesn’t really look like getting beaten on that current form. That was good progress over the fences for him.

There is a 6lb rise that he deals with but that looks very fair. The recent Kempton score was by 9 lengths and so he has plenty of scope left in him.

There Are a couple of course and distance winners to watch in the field, namely HOLLYWOODIEN and TIKKINTHEBOX. They should produce solid enough efforts in this kind of contest.

But the biggest threat that we see to the favour is the 2019 Desert Orchid winner BUN DORAN.

He was poor last time out but could benefit from a 5lb drop in the ratings, leaving him on a mark where he should be feared.

We are swinging towards MISS NAY NEVER on her reappearance. She is a quote of 6/1 to take this race* (betting odds recorded 17:14 GMT on 18th May 2021 at Betfred).

She is entitled to come on further after a very good previous campaign. Miss Nay Never rounded off last season with a victory at Wolverhampton in a nursery.

The consistent performer looks to be on a good workable mark and poses a big threat on her return.

There should be a really strong effort from READY FREDDIE GO after returning to winning ways at Thirsk 18 days ago. He is hit with a 5lb rise.

She picked up a win in her last race, beating a couple who have since gone on to win. Taras Day comes up 6lb as she looks to double up.

Taras Day takes slight preference over MAGNIFICENT BEN  who coms down 1lb.

He was at course and distance last time out and took fourth in a field of fifteen. He could have something to offer now back after a couple of months away.

Another that is likely to make a play for minor places is CLASSIC RULER.
