We have a big mix of races for today’s horse racing tips from Veterans’ action at Haydock along with Maiden and Novices action.

The top race of the day though comes from Kempton, which is the Wild Flower Stakes (Listed).

It’s six tips for horse racing betting that we have today and we will start it all off with that Listed run at Kempton.

So here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Wednesday, 1st December 2021.

All times listed are GMT.

17:30 Kempton Wild Flower Stakes Horse Racing Tip

Race Type: Listed
Age: 3-year-olds plus
Declared Runners: 8
Distance: 1m 4f

SISKANY is naturally a big player in this one, as he could be excused for his latest run. That was a fourth-place finish at Newbury.

The ground was too soft on the day for Siskany in that one and it likely was far too soon after having won at Newmarket previously.

There has been a tremendously progressive season with Siskany going close at both Royal Ascot and Goodwood. He should be a player.

ALIGNAK has moved yards, costing a pretty penny and he is a former course winner.

He is looking for a revival, but the new connections are interesting.

Alignak has proven form around this kind of distance. It’s been a quiet year for him, but he could bring place claims.

TARTLETTE is another to watch in the field who was last seen taking on a course and distance challenge.

It was a fourth-place finish there from her a month ago.

She may not be far away from a place, nor FOX TAL who gets the hood re-fitted.

He hasn’t quite been at his best this season but has been consistent enough to challenge for a minor prize.

Tip: SISKANY 5/6

Ones to watch: Tartlette 12/1, Alignak 8/1

Race Type: Class 3 handicap
Age: 3-year-olds plus
Declared Runners: 6
Distance: 2m

It is hard to write off any of those in a really hot handicap at Kempton on Wednesday evening. The first shortlist selection is IMPERIUM.

He has been off for around 7 months, but he is a previous course and distance winner.

Imperium was superb on the all-weather last season, and any kind of revival from a poor run in April at Newbury puts him in this.

CAPTAIN HADDOCK is likely to feature strongly as well. The last win that he put on the board was in August at Epsom.

He was moving well finishing unplaced in a Wolverhampton handicap 11 days ago having been left poorly placed. Captain Haddock rates as a danger.

NATE THE GREAT was last seen here, taking a fourth-place finish last month.

That was a good return to form from him after a pretty hefty misfire in the Cesarewitch.

STARGAZER is another who warrants some respect for Wednesday as he makes the move back up to a 2m trip.

There are excuses for his last run and Stargazer is good enough to make his presence felt.

Tip: CAPTAIN HADDOCK 9/2

Ones to watch: Imperium 3/1, Nate The Great 5/2

13:50 Haydock Novices’ Chase Horse Racing Tips & Odds

Race Type: CLass 2 novices’ chase
Age: 4-year-olds plus
Declared Runners: 4
Distance: 2m 5f

Race Preview

This is a wide-open novices’ chase with all four runners having claims for it.

COCONUT SPLASH looks to have plenty of ability to still unlock.

He was third three weeks ago on his reappearance and entitled to come for that.

The notable piece of form by Coconut Splash last season was his runner-up spot in the Chantry House.

BURROWS EDGE will have to defy a long absence to get his nose in front.

He’s unexposed over the fences but did take the Lanzarote at Kempton a couple of years ago.

KILTEALY BRIGGS is match fit and took a second palace finish at Aintree in a handicap chase three weeks ago.

He has been pushed up 2lb from that and has to make his presence felt.

As for MINT CONDITION, there was a superb campaign from him in the 2021/21 season over the hurdles.

He wasn’t quite right, maybe health issues, on his reappearance a month ago.

This is the chasing debut for Mint Condition and he’s not to be dismissed.

Tip: KILTEALY BRIGGS 2/1

Ones to watch: Coconut Splash 5/4, Mint Condition 6/1

Declared Runners: 5
Distance: 1m 7 1/2f

Two have dropped out of this, leaving it just as a three-runner contest, which is a shame as one of those non-runners was Harbour Lake, who would have been one of the front runners.

A DIFFERENT KIND is the big one here after completing a hat trick three weeks ago.

He looks like a superb prospect. His jumping game wasn’t the cleanest in scoring at Sedgefield three weeks ago but has potential even though he’s coming up a long way in grade.

GREEN BOOK has had a good season on the flat and did show some promise in a juvenile hurdle earlier this year.

This sphere could be the ideal fit for him and can get in this. On the flat, he went close in the Chester Cup and took a fourth at Glorious Goodwood.

MINDS SUNDAY put in a decent effort on her hurdles debut. That was three weeks ago on a run at Exeter and it was on a longer distance as well.

A bumper success at Newbury earlier this year hints that there’s more to come.

Tip: GREEN BOOK 11/8

Ones to watch: A Different Kind 11/10, Mind Sunday 10/3

14:50 Haydock Veterans’ Handicap CHase Horse Racing Odds

Race Type: Class 2 veterans’ handicap chase
Age: 10-year-olds plus
Declared Runners: 12
Distance: 3m 1f

Race Preview

There’s some quality lining up in this veterans’ chase at Haydock on Wednesday.

ASO should have a big chance with his sights lowered a long way from lining up in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham 18 days ago.

That was a return to action for him after a break and Aso was brought down in the fixture.

He’s obviously not the force of old, but the handicapper looks to have been fairly lenient on him.

BLAKLION has shown plenty this year and the 12-year-old put in a stunning effort to take a sixth-place finish in the Grand National back in April.

There was a good reappearance made by Blaklion three weeks ago, taking a fifth at Bangor. Against other veterans, he should show very well.

PSYCHEDELIC ROCK could bounce back and if he does then he naturally looks like a threat.

He picked up a score on his reappearance and he has won three of his last four completed starts.

But his last run was in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter in the spring and he was well below his best in that one. He’s not to be dismissed.

SMOOTH STEPPER won a Grade 3 fixture here last year and has gone well from fresh before, so he warrants some respect for the shortlist.

AMI DESBOIS goes for a new yard on Wednesday and is worth watching in the market after picking up a couple of good handicap efforts last season.

Tip: BLAKLION 8/1

Ones to watch: Aso 7/2, Psychedelic Rock 8/1

Race Type: Class 3 handicap hurdle
Age: 3-year-olds plus
Declared Runners: 16
Distance: 2m 2f

GOOBINATOR was thriving in the summer, claiming a couple of handicap scores on the flat.

He also put in a good shift for a fourth-place finish at the Cesarewitch.

He needs a bounceback after falling at Bangor before ever getting the chance to lay down any challenge. Goobinator had been very well supported for that fixture.

OSPREY CALL was another faller last time out, but there were clear signs in his race that he was in fairly decent nick.

Because he was travelling so well in that and having picked up hurdles to win against the last winner in a novice, Osprey Call could make his presence felt.

ENEMY COAST AHEAD was on the up last season and compiled a hattrick in August last year.

Following that he was sent into his handicap debut where things didn’t pan out.

Enemy Coast has been away since then, but his yard is in form and therefore could get back on track. GRAN LUNA is the other to watch for the shortlist.

She gets her first run since April after picking up a win at Chepstow.

That’s three wins under her belt in four efforts and there is, even more to come in handicapping from her.

Tip: OSPREY CALL 8/1

Ones to watch: Gran Luna 7/1, Enemy Coast Ahead 8/1
