Race Preview

MIGRATION is sitting on a hattrick chance as he returns to action. He was last seen a month ago in a similar sort of event at York.

Given the way that he has been going, connections look happy to push him up to this level and he looks as if he can be comfortable there.

KING VEGA is another that rates as a big danger in this contest. He picked up a score over course and distance in a novice two weeks ago.

On his penultimate run, he claimed a good fifth-place finish up at Group company and he looks to be coming into top form right now.

PEROTTO is down in grade for this one and that should bring him firmly into focus for this one.

This season he delivered a win at the Britannia at Royal Ascot. Goodwood is good for him and Perotto could be a big player.

Race Preview

SEA SYLPH should feature strongly on Wednesday. She produced an eye-catching run at Bath on her latest effort, which was three weeks ago.

It was a second-place finish there and after opening the season with a good win in a Windsor novice, it has been positive form in the handicap since.

FLOWER OF SCOTLAND has been having a good season with two wins in four. She won comfortably at Leicester on her latest last month.

She enjoyed some positive tactics in that one. This looks as if it is going to demand more from her, but she can’t be dismissed at all.

The final selection for the shortlist is GOLDEN BUGLE had a disappointing run at Kempton last time out. That was 51 days ago and it was a missed hattrick chance.

But the form before that was clearly there and the well-bred filly was on the up. She looks to be the type to bounce back.

KETTLE HILL looks as if he still has a lot more to come from trainer Willie Haggas. There was a win for Kettle Hill last time out.

That was at Sandown and it saw him continue in good seasonal form. Kettle Hill has looked strong in handicapping this season and has plenty to offer.

IMRAHOR returned to action a month ago after a break of 9 months. During that break, he had received a gelding operation as well.

He should be better for that Newbury reappearance in which he was third. Imrahor is not without a chance on Wednesday.

ENIGMATIC brings some place claims to the table. He is a former course and distance winner and arrives in form.

There was a victory for him at Pontefract three weeks ago. He’s been in good consistent form and has a chance of getting in the mix to follow up.

SOME NIGHTMARE looks as if he could have a big chance in midweek of adding to his recent tally of wins.

There have been three wins for him in his last five. The latest of those was at Chepstow a couple of weeks ago.

Some Nightmare has been handed a 7lb rise which looks to be manageable for him given the way that he is going.

DELAGATE THIS LORD should have plenty to offer in this one, despite being a long odds option for horse racing betting.

He was eased back at Epsom on his latest run last month. It was a performance that wasn’t going well and he was eased. Delegate This Lord looks to be heading to a good mark.

LOCKDOWN collected a win for George Baker on his latest, which was at Kempton in June. He has been on a long break since then.

But coming up 5lb and refreshed, then Lockdown could have enough to fight his way into contention.

This is a good competitive handicap chase in play, despite it being a small field at Perth on Wednesday.

ROI DE DUBAI has won two of his last three. Notably, the latest of those was on his handicap chase debut at Cartmel three weeks ago.

That was a good positive effort which also saw him shake off some poor hurdles form. He’s on a tough mark, however.

GET OUT THE GATE just missed out on completing a hattrick on his latest. He scored back to back course and distance efforts in the summer.

He stays at the same mark as his second at Cartmel three weeks ago and has a big chance.

So too AMALFI DOUG who scored a course and distance in 16 days ago. He showed great grit to hang on there. He’s up in the ratings so a little more is going to be demanded of him.

RED MISSILE is on the up after picking up a victory here in a novice effort a couple of weeks ago. This will be the handicap debut for him.

That recent score here was on his reappearance and he wasn’t particularly settled in getting it. Red Missile should be better for the experience.

CALLIOPE has had a good season, picking up one win from four runs. She got that score at Carmel in August.

There was a drop in trip last time out for Calliope at Kelso in which she took third a week ago. She has every chance of being in the thick of the action.

GOA LIL warrants plenty of respect after second at Worcester in a small field three weeks ago. On his penultimate run, he scored over the fences at Stratford.

He wasn’t quite as sharp on that switch to the hurdle last time out, but he is down in class and down in trip as well which gives him claims.
