Today’s horse racing tips as we hit midweek are from the day’s National Hunt action from Ffos Las, Haydock and Ludlow.
There are a couple of selections from each of the venues and there are a lot of Class 3 level races for the day.

GUY may have something to offer in this lively-looking contest at Ludlow on Wednesday afternoon.
He’s a solid chaser who has been in reasonable form this season.
Guy has taken three runners-up finishes in four efforts this season.
He very nearly got off the mark at Leicester on his latest but was caught on the line. The move to 3m looks positive.
PONTRESINA isn’t totally out of the picture in this one after losing his rider at the last fence at Cheltenham in November.
He was in the process of running well in that, just the second run for new connections.
It had followed an encouraging second-place finish over the hurdles.
AS YOU LIKE is the final one for the shortlist and appears to be heading towards some better form.
The veteran won at Worcester on his penultimate run, which was back in June last year.
His follow up wasn’t great but a long break gives him a chance because As You Like has gone well fresh before.

FONTANA ELLISSI is one of several with good claims in this very competitive-looking handicap hurdle.
Fontana Ellissi scored at Ffos Las back in February, benefitting from a reduced mark to get that.
He nearly backed it up on his next run, which was at Taunton.
He does need a little revival after not going quite as well a couple of weeks ago on his latest run, but the ground may have been wrong.
TIMBERMAN has been in winning form this season, being a dual winner for the campaign.
Timberman hasn’t done much wrong all season and steps back into action after a credible fourth place at Taunton on his latest which was a month ago.
Youngster COOLNAUGH HAZE who is unexposed is very interesting in taking on this challenge against experienced competitors.
He made his handicap debut last time out, which was at the course and distance and took a good third place in it.
Coolnaugh Haze remains at the same mark and is a good one to watch for progress.

CHEF D’OEUVRE won this renewal last year and is 7lb down from that winning mark.
He arrives from a yard that is in good form.
The veteran really hasn’t hit the same heights this season, but carries a good track record and offered some encouragement with a runner-up spot at Wetherby last time out.
TIM PAT is seeking a hattrick and looks as if he still has plenty more to come, especially on this longer trip.
After scoring over the hurdles, he picked up a victory on his first Chase effort in a Carlisle novice handicap three weeks ago.
Tim Pat carries some big claims, even though he hasn’t been tried this far before.
GENERATOR CITY most recently got a score in a Carlisle handicap chase back in October. After a fall on his follow up, he was back in form last time out.
Generator City took a good third at Huntington in December. He has since switched yards and could offer something going from fresh on Wednesday.

FINISK RIVER could be on a threatening mark now having fallen down the ratings. He’s not always the most consistent of jumpers.
He did not really make too much of an impact the last twice since battling his way to a third-place finish at Cheltenham in November. A clear round would probably put him in this.
SACRE PIERRE put in a commanding performance at Sedgefield on his latest run, with a score by a good six lengths.
There has been a 6lb rise given to him, but Sacre Pierre looks wonderfully progressive.
This is a stronger race for him but has a stack of potential.
N’GOLO may be worth keeping an eye on in this contest as he looks to get going for his new yard.
On his first run for new connections, last time out the 7-year-old put in a credible run at course and distance. It could be something to build on.

JAUNTY FREYJA got off the mark at Chepstow at the start of the year with the same jockey as she carries on Wednesday.
She hasn’t come off the gas since with a couple of credible runs under her belt to follow with. Jaunty Freya was a runner up at Exeter a month ago and brings strong claims.
DICEY REILLY has made an encouraging start to life over the hurdles, going well in both efforts so far.
Connections have quickly moved her over to handicapping and she looks as if she could have something to offer in this one. The tongue-tie goes on for the first time.
MINNIE ESCAPE has been in the frame the last twice and the best of her recent form was here at Ffos Las in February.
She was last seen here at the venue 41 days ago when she was a distant third, but there was enough in the effort to suggest she could have a chance.

D’JANGO had the blinkers on for the first time when landing a second-place finish at Wincanton earlier this month.
He went close, perhaps just going a little too early for home. Regardless, he looks to be on a very threatening mark and lands himself on the shortlist.
SHAH AN SHAH has finished as a runner up the last twice, not really threatening a win in either.
There has been a wind up for him since his latest run a month ago. The move back to the timbers could help Shan An Shah’s cause.
LIGHTONTHEWIN is 8lb better off against Shah An Shah when they met recently. He finished 9 lengths behind that rival.
But the weight shift has to be quite the factor on Wednesday for their rematch. He is currently down beneath his last winning mark so could have some place claims.
