MINELLA PLUS completed a hattrick last time out, which was 51 days ago at Musselburgh. That was on his handicap debut, and he just produced a commanding run in it.
So naturally he comes back into the frame, especially with a previous course and distance win under his belt.
Minella Plus has been on the up and surely has more to come in handicapping despite a 5lb rise for this.
ENFIN PHIL is another that comes into this competitive handicap fixture on the back of success. That was nailed at Sedgefield in December.
He comes up 3lb after winning by a comfortable three lengths (almost).
That was a good return to form for Enfin Phil, and he had scored at Uttoxeter back in May as well.
MICK MAESTRO has now fallen to his last winning mark and looks the best of the rest in this contest.
That last win was here at Catterick.
That hasn’t been much going on for him this season, including a bit of a nothing effort at Musselburgh last time out.
Mick Maestro comes up on a trip which may help him.

BIG BAD BUZZ is on the shortlist for this contest, even though he comes in from out of the weights.
He went a long way on a 20f trip at Leicester on his latest effort a couple of weeks ago. That was his chase debut, and Big Bad Buzz could kick on from there.
It would have been very interesting to see how close he could have got if he hadn’t made a big mistake three out.
AIRE VALLEY LAD gets the blinkers on for the first time and should be that little sharper for having had a little rest since a second-place finish at Sedgefield in November.
There have been good performances over the fences for Aire Valley Lad. He was in contention at Sedgefield in that latest run, and the change of headgear could help.
THAIS TOIR is fascinating as Brian Hughes jumps into the saddle, which is very notable.
Thais Toir has not been in the frame in anything much and was fifth after fading at Hereford three weeks ago.
That was only the second chase fixture for Thais Toir, but place claims could be there with a top rider.

CHARLIE ARHTUR rediscovered his winning touch at Southwell three weeks ago and never looked like surrendering his advantage there.
There is a 2lb rise for him on the back of that success. It was only by a neck, but it was a win and he could be back in the hunt.
MORLAIX is a big player in this contest after claiming Chelmsford City had won two weeks ago.
There’s been a 3lb rise for Moralix after that, but he looked very comfortable in landing that recent win with plenty to spare.
MINISTER FOR MAGIC is unexposed but very interesting. He landed a score on his debut at Killarney.
On a run in a minor event at Kempton three weeks ago he went well on the first run for his new yard.
Minister For Magic landed a runner up spot and moved over into handicapping for the first time with some interest.

LUCKOFTHEDRAW has been in fine form for a while now. He took back to back wins before coming home second in each of his last three.
The wins in that sequence were in November for a new yard.
He hasn’t let up with some good running and being eased 1lb could make all the difference on Wednesday.
KAKAMORA was really strong over the hurdles at the end of last season. He produced a solid debut over the fences as well.
His follow up was not so good as he was a distant third at Market Rasen.
But maybe that was just an off-day as Kakamora had generally done much better than then. A bounce-back performance cannot be ruled out.
DORKING LAD keeps the cheekpieces on after a second-place finish at Huntingdon 12 days ago.
That was the closest that he has come to getting off the mark in this sphere. Dorking Lad should find a way to get involved in this.

LAST MISSION could make his presence felt in this contest, as it looks like a bit of a thin field.
Last Mission gets on the shortlist simply because he ran well to take a third-place finish at Southwell a month ago. That’s back to back solid effort from him now.
DARK ESTEEM is another that gets some attention in horse racing tips for this one.
He was eighth of eight at Lingfield two weeks ago. That was well below par and can get in this if he bounces back straight away.
Dark Esteem could be helped out by receiving a fairly handy draw for Wednesday’s run.
TAKEONEFORTHETEAM was a runner-up 7 days ago at Southwell. He has plenty of experience at this course.
Takeonefortheteam is a four-time course and distance winner.
He is looking for his first score since a run at Salisbury in August. A good runner-up finish a week ago puts him this.

NOTORIOUSLY RISKY looks an un-risky pick for this contest. In December, she landed a win at Chelmsford City.
He followed up on her first run of 2022 was good as well and as she has been dropped back 1lb, Notoriously Risky can challenge.
COME ON GIRL is likely going to be a big player in this contest. She has finished as the runner-up in each of her last three matches now.
She has been in the mix and so can’t be dismissed.
Come On Girl is a former course and distance winner and wears the visor for the first time.
MAHALE looks to be the best of the rest in this contest. She is still a maiden but took a releasable fourth at Lingfield 12 days ago.
That was her first run in almost half a year, so she should be sharper for it.
She receives weight from everyone else in the field, so may be of interest.
