LIVELY CITIZEN should be a strong player in this one if he gets back on track. He didn’t complete at Cheltenham on Saturday.
But that was only an equipment failure and nothing more as he was striving to add to a win at that same venue earned in December. He’s likely to rate a big danger.
PRESUMING ED has won two of his last three after picking up a score at Market Rasen on Boxing Day over the hurdles.
He did have a recent spin on the flat a month ago, which didn’t pan out at all, but at least it keeps him sharp.
Back in this sphere, Presuming Ed should be a threat.
CADDYHILL could be interesting on his return after picking a debut win over the fences. That was at Sedgefield in September.
He followed that up with a poor effort at Fontwell less than two weeks later in another chase effort.
The switch back to the timbers could help get him back on track.

GUY put together to very good efforts at the start of the season, rattling the crossbar in both of those chases.
The last time that Guy was seen was at Ascot 46 days ago and he did not look his usual lively self.
But taking a drop in grade gives him a big chance.
COBRA DE MAI is worth consideration for the horse racing betting shortlist on Wednesday.
He is down 2lb from a sixth-place finish at Market Rasen in December.
That was a credible run and while he is on a long winless streak, Cobra De Mai could get in this.
KILBROOK was a third-place finisher at the course and distance three weeks ago, behind Family Business who he goes up against once again.
Kilbrook banked a win on his chase debut in October and that recent effort shows that he is still in good heart and with potential for more.

ALMUFEED is seeking a hat trick on Wednesday after really getting his act together this season.
It’s been back to back wins in Wolverhampton handicaps for Almufeed. The 5-year-old is still low mileage and will probably be in the mix.
CROWN POWER was a runner-up 11 days ago in a Wolverhampton handicap as well.
That was with the cheekpieces on for the first time which she keeps.
It was also a marked improvement for Crown Power, although she has still been in the places in each of her last three runs now.
There’s something there to build on.
ELMEJOR has won two of his last three and is likely to go and make his presence felt one again with another bold run.
The latter of his wins was a month ago where he handled unfavourable pace well enough to land a win at Chelmsford City. Elmejor should be involved.

HOW HARD CAN IT BE was fifth after a field run at Lingfield a month ago. That was in a field of 10 runners.
Positioning wasn’t ideal for her in the end, but it was a good enough run to put her in this.
She has top jockey Hollie Doyle booked too.
ELTHAM PALACE comes down a little in the distance which could see her threaten.
She finished in the midfield zone of a 12-runner contest here nine days ago.
Eltham Palace is a maiden still, but not to be discounted.
NUBLE is bang in form at the moment, having just completed a rapid-fire four-timer after a big show of form.
That was all done within the space of six weeks.
The most recent of her wins was eight days ago at Lingfield and she gets a 5lb rise for that but has to be in this based on current form.

CHAVEZ was a runner-up on a hurdling debut in December and looks to have plenty of scope in the sphere.
That debut run over the timbers was at Chepstow, and it came after a couple of bumper scores for him last winter.
THELASTHIGHKING is likely to be a big player in his contest after a good runner-up spot at Fontwell on Boxing Day.
That was a reasonably strong novice hurdles effort from him.
He is now pushed forward in distance and should be right about there.
LAST ROYAL hasn’t quite hit the form of his early hurdles showings the last twice. But he can’t be counted out of this.
He fell on his penultimate run and just four days later didn’t get into gear at Taunton.
That was probably just too much too soon and returns after a break of a month which should help.

He is seeking a hat-trick after scoring at Hereford on his latest effort a month ago.
He looks to have plenty to spare in that one and is just thriving since the move to the fences.
AMBION HILL was runner-up to Jobesgreen Lad at Ludlow 58 days ago. That was the chase debut for Ambion Hill.
There is a chance that he could get closer to that rival this time around, as Ambion Hill is on much better terms now.
CARRY ON THE MAGIC was a runner up on his latest run. That was an encouraging chasing debut at Musselburgh.
If he can push forward from that experience then there should be a chance for the Paul Nicholls-trained 8-year-old.
