THE MANUSCRIPT is the market leader currently for this Warwick handicap chase on Wednesday.

He is a quote of 3/1* (betting odds recorded 2011 GMT on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 at William Hill).

He will be looking to secure a double after winning in good fashion at Market Rasen in December. That was on a 3m trip.

The third-placed finisher in that contest has since gone on to win.

There has been a hefty 12lb rise in the reading for the Jonjo O’Neill-trained gelding, but the form clearly reads well.

ANOTHER EMOTION is expected to be right in the mix who is another that claimed a win last time out.

His victory came at Wetherby on a 3m trip last time out over the fences. He looked as if he had more trip in him, so the extra furlong appears to be a good fit.

Another Emotion takes our fancy at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 2011 GMT on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 at William Hill).

The final section for the shortlist is VOLCANO who is still fairly well handicapped.

He missed out on a hattrick on his last effort where he was fourth at Hereford on a much shorter trip.

Volcano’s wins this season have been at Warwick and Ludlow.

This looks like being a really tight fight, however. You Choice put in another solid run 4 days ago when she was fourth at Kempton in a minor event.

She was well clear of everyone else behind her. Your Choice gets the cheekpieces back on and warrants some consideration here.

CRISTAL PALLAS CAT makes a return to handicapping and we make him our 7/1 pick* (betting odds recorded 2011 GMT on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 at William Hill).

He was well down the field at Kempton on his last run, but stayed out wide the whole way and never got into any position at all.

He had won at Kempton in January on his previous run, so if he can tap back into that kind of form then he should have a chance.

HE’S OUR STAR also has a good chance in that one. On his first run for his new year he scored fourth place in a field of 13 in a Kempton handicap.

That was a week ago and it showed He’s Our Star in a much-improved light. So we think place claims are there.

She picked up a win on her latest effort, which was at Doncaster 5 weeks ago. It was a very easy victory for her in that one.

The big score, by 16 lengths suggests that she is going to be very tough to knock over in this one.

The conditions are perfect for her as she hasn’t been beaten on heavy ground.

ZAMABELLA has to be the other obvious selection for this contest. The second and third behind Annie Mc on her latest run, have been beaten by Zambella this season as well.

So that shows that he should be about there. The six year old is now three for three over the fences and each were at Listed level.

Being a course and distance winner, Zambella has to get the nod at 5/2* (betting odds recorded 2011 GMT on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 at William Hill).

HAPPY DIVA may be in with a say in the fixture as well. She did far too much too early on her latest run.

But she’s not to be discounted at all.

Happy Diva was travelling very well in last year’s Paddy Power Gold Cup when she fell two from home, which was her penultimate race.

He is seeking a hattrick after hitting top form since his return. He was well on top on his latest effort when he was shot at Kempton in a field of eight.

There is a 5lb penalty for Love Destiny because of that easy win and following those back to back wins at Kempton, tries his luck at Lingfield.

MAMILLIUS needs to be on the shortlist after taking a fourth-place over course and distance on his latest run.

That was just under two weeks ago. He has previously scored at C&D so that is why he is worth noting for this fixture.

Mamillus had a slow start last time out and can offer more.

ICONIC KNIGHT would be the other for the shortlist. He was third on his last effort which was at course and distance 12 days ago.

He is seeking his first win since December last year and that latest run showed that he may be heading back in the right direction to get close.

He picked up a win on his latest run, landing the win in a December Ascot handicap. He was clear at the last and never looked back.

This is a slightly tougher contest in which to follow up in. But the claims are certainly there as Moring Spirit enters on the back of a very good season.

The cheekpieces go on HUNTSMAN’S JOG for the first time. He collected a win on his penultimate run, getting the score at Exeter in December.

.His follow up was a credible one, as well as Huntsmans Log, was fourth in a much tougher fixture two weeks later. Will the pieces make the difference?

UNDER PROVISION is well worth a look as he comes into his handicap debut in this fixture.

He missed out on a hat-trick as he claimed fourth in a Kempton Hurdle at 3m 1f in December.

She has been improving with each run this season as she looks to break a run of eleven fixtures without a score.

Torbellino looks to be a very competitive frame of mind at the moment and after a course and distance second a week ago, should be right back in the mix.

She stays at the same mark as that last race.

PLANSINA should have a big shout in the fixture after a second-place here at Kempton nine days ago on her latest effort.

She is now only 2lb above her last winning mark. That was a marked improvement of a performance from her and could push on further.

We like what was seen from ICONIC BELLE on her latest effort despite being up at 2m which never suited her.

She took quite well to the task and shaped well regardless. So the drop in trip is the obvious factor here for her.

Iconic Belle hasn’t won since 2018 but this is a wide-open contest.
