TRUESHAN is the heavy odds-on favourite for this race as he makes his return to action.
He racked up some big wins last season, completing a hattrick with a victory at Ascot in the Long Distance Cup.
This is a shorter trip for him, which perhaps poses a question or two.
But Trueshan is such a high-class operator he will probably be fine.
Connections are just warming him up for much bigger things with this reappearance run and it’s hard to see him getting knocked over.
YAXENI looks to be the one most likely to pose any kind of threat and challenge to Trueshan.
She also makes her return to action.
Yaxeni claimed a win at Naas at the end of last season, the best effort of her career so far.
She may have enough to hold off Quickthorn in what looks like being a race for second.
QUICKTHORN needs a better performance than he delivered last time out when he was down the field in the Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp.
Quickthorn won half of his six efforts last year. He does have a fantastic record from fresh and is therefore likely to be competitive.

ARTHUR’S REALM was a winner on his latest effort, which was just 11 days ago in Doncaster.
That was a career-best effort from him and Arthur’s Dream could follow up and put himself back in the frame.
DAWAAM put in a good shift on the all-weather on his latest run, to take a runner up spot at Wolverhampton.
That was three weeks ago, and being ridden a little more positively could see him rate as a danger on Wednesday.
SEASETT is an intriguing one to take his place in this contest as he has his first run for a new yard in midweek.
Seasett is a former course and distance winner and looked to be in decent enough heart when last seen at Pontefract 170 days ago.

LOVELY MANA looked to have found a lot of improvement on her latest run, when she scored at Newcastle just under a couple of weeks ago.
Lovely Mana has moved up 4lb after winning that comfortably.
She’s well worth another look as she seems to have hit some form.
PEPPER STREAK was also a winner last time out, when she held on to dig out a competitive victory in a Newcastle maiden.
That was the first run for a new year and she had the cheekpieces on for the first time.
Pepper Streak retains the headgear and poses a threat as she moves back to handicapping.
BALLET STEPS may be worth taking a look at as she moves over into handicaps for the first time.
She opened last season with a win on her debut in a maiden at Beverley but there was no kind of repeat performance in her other two runs.
But if Ballet Steps takes to the handicapping well, then there could be something in this one, as it’s a fairly thin field behind the main two.

PISTOLETTO is a former winner at Lingfield and is well worth a look in this contest, even though he has largely been poor this season.
Pistoletto claimed three wins last season.
It hasn’t clicked in this campaign, but he has been eased in grade for midweek, giving him a reasonable chance on a drop in trip as well.
PROTECTED GUEST brings some very strong form to the table as he has not been outside of the top three in any of his last six.
Protected Guest is a former course and distance winner and arrives in winning form after scoring at Southwell three weeks ago.
He’s up just 1lb from that effort and could be a player.
DARK PINE gets on the shortlist because he is moved back up in trip and gets the blinkers back on.
Dark Pine won three of seven efforts last year. His most recent effort wasn’t great but the race didn’t pan out in his favour at Wolverhampton.

COASE is one of the strong players in this competitive fixture. He should be there if this isn’t too quick of a turnaround for him.
Coase claimed a fourth-place finish at Lingfield just four days ago having run into a bit of trouble, setting him back.
It’s been a good season overall by him and there are big claims there as he comes down in class.
PROCLAIMER is going from strength to strength still and he has notched up five course and distance wins in his career.
He has a good strike record on the flat and won half of his eight efforts last year.
His latest victory was at C&D three weeks ago.
That was nice and straight forward and it looks as if Proclaimer sets the standard in this fascinating handicap.
LAFAN has a good record at Kempton and the latest of his victories at the venue came in January.
He was at course and distance on his latest, 49 days ago, and only narrowly missed out on the win that would have given him back to back C&D wins.

CHOOKIE DUNEDIN is bang in form at the moment and warrants some big respect off an unchanged mark.
He is now bidding for a hattrick after recent wins at Southwell and Wolverhampton and is thriving over 7f at the moment.
Chookie Dunedin was second in last year’s renewal from 3lb higher to Parys Mountain, who also lined up again on Wednesday.
SPECIAL MAYSON is also seeking a hattrick and is a former course and distance winner.
He has been away since last autumn and comes up 2lb from his last run.
But there are few miles on the clock and cannot be dismissed on his return
RED ROSE ZORRO is the final one to get on the shortlist here because he has a good track record behind him.
It has been four course and distance victories for him and was a runner up over track and trip 162 years ago on his latest.
He is not to be dismissed on his return.
