MAY NIGHT should feature strongly in this handicap contest as he sits on a hattrick chance. He brings some very strong claims.
May Night is a three-time course and distance winner and has just been excelling throughout 2021.
18 days ago he struck for his latest win on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. He is definitely a player.
MUDLAHHIM rates a threat in the field as well as he brings a credible undefeated record on the all-weather to the table.
He scored a win over course and distance on his first run for a new yard 110 days ago. Mudlahhim can’t be counted out of this.
Another shortlisted selection is MARSHALL DAN who picked up a victory at Sandown in September.
He hasn’t matched that form since in two follow up runs, but they have both been attacked with credit.
The switch back to the all-weather should help Marshall Dan get in the frame.
Another of keen interest is the unexposed BELLOSA on her handicap debut.
She landed a gamble in a Listed fixture at course and distance earlier this year. Bellosa couldn’t match that in the Jersey Stakes but should go well after the break.

GRAND TURINA was a faller on her reappearance last month and she is still looking to get off the mark this late into her career over the fences.
She looked to be well-tuned however in that latest run, which was at Ffos Las.
That was her reappearance and as Grand Turina stays at the same mark, she should feature.
INDIAN BRAVE have been away since early 2020 so this is a huge absence that he is going to have to shrug off.
That season ended on a hugely positive note with back to back handicap chase successes at Chepstow and Newbury.
BILL AND BARN fills out the shortlist for this race as he recently opened his account in chasing.
That was at Plumpton last month on just his third attempt at the fences. An equally encouraging runner up spot at Fakenham since gives him claims.

BANANA JOE lost his rider at Hexham last month, the mishap happening a couple from home. He had been travelling very well in that contest, however.
That was Banana Joes’ first run for a new yard and it was also his chasing debut, so he is entitled to be better for that.
It was a promising enough effort to put him back in the picture on Wednesday.
DON HERBAGER looks as if he could mount a challenge in midweek as well.
He was shaping very well with a progressive chasing season under his belt in the previous campaign.
His reappearance was just over a month ago at course and distance, and he never really found his footing.
Don Herbager should have a chance, however, reading into his previous form.
GIVE US A SWIG took a good third-place finish on his second chase appearance which was at Ffos Las last month. He kept on well in that effort and could be competitive.
So too SILVER NICKEL who did have a good go over the fences at Plumpton on his penultimate. His follow up wasn’t great but he’s not with claims.

This handicap hurdle looks wide open. INDUNO was third at Chepstow on his first run for 12 months a few weeks ago.
There was quite a lot of promise shown by him in that one.
With some good novice hurdle wins under his belt last season, he could be even better in midweek.
ITS GONNAHAPPEN is interesting on his just his second race track appearance. Earlier this year he claimed a maiden hurdle at Gowran. He has since moved yards and there could be plenty in his handicapping debut.
BRORSON may well be helped out by taking on the challenge of a longer distance on Wednesday.
He took a decent seventh at Cheltenham on his latest in a big field. He handled himself well and finished strong.
CHENG GONG is another that can’t be dismissed. It’s been back to back runner-up spots for him, the first of which was at Lingfield.
He looks to be in good shape at the moment and poses a threat.
Others that could have a say from this big field include FOR LANGY and MISTER WATSON.

SANDYMAN takes a drop in the weight and is looking for a bounce back after a struggle at Nottingham last time out.
That race was just too quick for him to stick in there.
His yard is in form at the moment and after a short break can compete here.
PROTECTED GUEST lowers his sights for the first time in a long while.
There was a win at a higher level for him back in March and that was from 3lb higher.
There was a course and distance success for LA HULOTTE last month and with a strong follow up to take a third here at Kempton two weeks ago, she may well have a say.
So too OZ LEGEND who has found a nice bit of consistent form.
He put in a very good shift to take third at Wolverhampton two weeks ago. If he hadn’t drifted right he probably would have gotten close to the score.

ETTILA DE SIVOLA took a second-place finish at Kelso on his latest run, which was a month ago at Kelso. That was a reappearance for him.
The previous campaign for Ettila De Sivola was poor, but that was a more encouraging run from a reduced mark last time out.
SOUTHEAST ROSE looks as if she could have a say in processing in what is a fairly weak field.
She scored a course and distance novice win twelve months ago.
With a reappearance back here at Hexham three weeks ago, looking firmly like she needed that effort, she’s entitled to bring more to the table.
LLANTARA is the final selection for the shortlist in this chase. There was a good runner-up effort over the smaller stuff at Wetherby earlier this year from her.
She didn’t follow that up, but the switch to the fences may offer her a chance at revival.
