The race favourite for this selling handicap is POUR LA VICTOIRE at 15/8* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

He has posted a win three times over course and distance. The most recent run that Pour La Victoire had was here over C&D 18 days ago. He ran well again to claim a second-place finish.

So back in a very familiar setting it more likely than not that a bold run is coming up. He was only nudged out by a short head in that last effort.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

REVOLUTIONARY MAN is worth a look in this one. He was last seen taking on a mile here at Lingfield and rattled the crossbar in that one.

It was a second-place finish for Revolutionary Man in that one. Three races ago he picked up a course and distance success.

Not too surprisingly a lot of these horses have a lot to prove. The best of the rest that we can see is MAN OF THE SEA.

That is because of a course and distance effort 18 days ago when he claimed a fourth-place finish from a big field of 13. That was from 50/1. Place claims are there.

The current 5/2 favourite is ASKING FOR ANSWERS* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

He opened the new season with a victory on the board. That was in a 3m handicap chase at Ayr.

The price for that success has been a 6lb rise in the rating.

But he stayed on nicely in that Ayr effort 44 days ago to be worth keeping on-side once again. The conditions are likely to play to his favour as well.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MYMILAN is a player in this field because he looks to have more to come on a bigger trip.

He was last in action at Carlisle last month on a 2m 4f trip when he took a second-place finish.

He’s still relatively unexposed over the fences, but we think that he’s worth a look at 4/1* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

There’s a lot in this field who need a good run. The DAWN MAN is going to be the other name on the shortlist.

He will be making his reappearance run in this one. He scored on his penultimate run of the previous campaign in March. The Dawn Man pulled up on his one run after that.

DANCING FEET is a 15/8 favourite currently for this Fillies’ Handicap at Lingfield* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

There has been good form from her recently.

She claimed a win at Kempton on her penultimate race and followed up with a runner up spot at Wolverhampton just over three weeks ago.

Dancing Feet looked to have plenty of running left in her over the final furlong.

She is the one to beat and the highest-rated runner in the field. She goes as our selection.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

Punters will have been left frustrated with the effort of ASPIRATION last time out.

On what was her handicap bow, she finished well down the field at Newmarket.

But that had race crept up on her too soon perhaps. Aspiration comes into her Polytrack debut which could help her get back on track a bit.

We would have to pull QUEEN’S COURSE onto the shortlist as well.

A month ago she delivered a career-best run to get a score at Newcastle ahead of Dancing Feet.

That continued some very good form that she has produced this year. There’s a fair 3lb rise for Queen’s Course to deal with.

ABSOLUTELY DYLAN is the 5/2 favourite for this one* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

This will be the fourth run of the season for him and he is looking to build on a good second-place finish last time out.

Absolutely Dylan was off a reduced mark at Uttoxeter last month on that run. He is a dual chase winner.

He is up 1lb now and he is likely going to be in the frame in this one. That was a good return to form from him.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

OVERWORKUNDERDPAID is worth keeping on side in this one as well. He picked up a third-place finish in a decent run at Ffos Las 7 weeks ago.

He is now being tried in a visor for the first time as connections look to pull a little more out of him.

Overworked Underpaid is still looking to break maiden after 19 runs.

We think that ORION INVERNESS is worth throwing onto the shortlist as well.

He looks to be thriving with his form at the moment having won two of his last three. Sandwiched in between those wins was a second place.

So he’s there and in his last effort he got a win (dead heat) over course and distance.

We have GOLAN CLOUD heading up the market for horse racing tips here at 12/5* (betting odds taken from Betway at 16:17 GMT on Tuesday, 8th December 2020).

He only found one too good form him on his reappearance three weeks ago.

Golan Cloud was well ahead of the rest of the back though on a very encouraging effort.

That was in a 2m 4f hurdle effort here at Hexham.

Looking down the field here, there is no-one of the quality of the runner that beat him last time out.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CUDGEL is likely to show well again here having had a course and distance run last month.

He posted a win in that one and takes on an extra 3lb for this next effort.

Cudgel looks to be the one most likely to throw down a big challenge to the favourite.

Looking around the rest, we would have to just side with ESPOIR MOIRVIERE as the other selection for the shortlist.

He opened the season with a victory at Ayr on his return. Then he followed that up with a fifth-place at Newcastle.

Place claims are there from him in this field.

She will be looking to secure a double after posting an easy win over course and distance three weeks ago.

Southeast Rose got the better of Nettlebush in that run as well and there is probably a lot more to come from her.

There is naturally a rise that she has to deal with, of 5lb but she looks good enough to shrug that off.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SKIPPING ON commands a bit of respect as well. He opened the new season with a third-place finish at Uttoxeter just over a couple of weeks ago.

He will get the cheekpieces back on after that positive run. The 11-year-old is playing off of a workable mark.

We are going to select ROLL OF THUNDER as the other one for the shortlist.

He is a previous course and distance winner and looks to be in nice shape in the handicapping at the moment.

That’s been due to a lack of results this season. But he was back in the right direction with a third-place at Sedgefield a couple of weeks ago.
