There is a current quote of 5/4 in Tottenham Premier League odds for them to card a top-six finish in this season’s campaign* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

The big news for the club is that Tottenham have gotten their man. They have agreed on a deal with Antonio Conte to take over in North London.

The two parties looked to be coming together in the summer, but things fell apart.

So Spurs looked well down their list of managerial targets to get former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

That didn’t pan out well, the Portuguese not settling at the club and leaving after a W5 L5 with Spurs in the Premier League.

Man City 1/66

Tottenham get a proven winner

The managerial career of Antonio Conte reads excellently. He guided Juventus to three Serie A titles and won the Premier League with Chelsea.

On a return to Serie A after his stint at Stamford Bridge, Conte then ended Juventus’ reign in Serie A of nine straight titles, taking Inter to the crown last season.

But in the summer, Conte left Inter after the club apparently wasn’t willing to back him in the transfer market and started selling their best players instead.

But Conte is one of the top, proven managers around and this is quite the capture for Tottenham.

Breaking the EPL top four is tough

Tottenham are currently sitting in ninth place in the Premier League with four losses in their last six fixtures.

Included in that run was a North London derby embarrassment against Arsenal, Tottenham losing to their rivals 3-0.

In their last six league games, Tottenham have lost to Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United.

Those are four of the current top five in the standings and Spurs conceded at least three goals in three of those four losses.

So seeing them break into the top four this season is not going to be an easy thing.

There is a lot of work to do at the club, however, with Tottenham 6/1 shot to land in the EPL top four this season* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

Can Conte bring any silverware this season?

After a seventh-place finish in last season’s Premier League, Tottenham are fumbling around in the new European Conference League this season.

That at least offers a chance of silverware if nothing else. That’s not exactly the level that Tottenham want to be at.

Just a couple of years ago they were competing for the Champions League trophy in the final against Liverpool.

But they are one of the leading contenders in the Europa Conference League, currently sitting as 6/1 joint-favourites alongside Roma* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

Domestic Targets

A top-six finish is probably a realistic target for Conte at this stage of proceedings. He’s going to need time to get the squad going.

There is a quote of 5/4 on a Top Six Finish in Premier League betting for Tottenham this season* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

Again the likes of West Ham and Arsenal are ahead of them in the betting market at shorter odds.

Tottenham are still in the EFL Cup with a quarter-final to come against West Ham.

Spurs have a home advantage for that tie and are currently 7/1 outright to win the EFL Cup* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

There is a longer 12/1 quote on Tottenham to win the FA Cup this season as well* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).

But with the two domestic cups and the Europa Conference League, there could still be hope for Tottenham to at least put some cheer on the board.

Conte is a proven winner and while he may have his hands tied when it comes to finances at Tottenham, he has proven before that he can turn out-of-sorts squads into title contenders.

Tottenham Premier League Odds – immediate Goals

The immediate goals are of course for Conte to get Tottenham’s Premier League campaign really up and running.

There’s a decent chance of that with Spurs facing three of the current bottom four within their next five scheduled fixtures (Leeds, Burnley and Norwich).

It’s been pour from them so far, and some really dour performances were produced by them under Nuno.

Getting the most criticism of all the players has been star striker Harry Kane.

The three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner has been a shadow of himself this season with one goal in nine appearances.

It appeared that Kane was looking for a big summer move to Man City which chairman Daniel Levy reportedly shut down. Kane has looked well out of sorts since then.

Can Conte revive Tottenham’s talisman?

There’s a long way to go for Kane who is 16/1 in the Premier League Top Goalscorer market this season* (odds recorded at 20:40 GMT on November 2nd, 2021 at Bet365).
