Tottenham v Everton Betting Tips – Premier League 13th January 5.30pm

The wheels are starting to come offer Everton’s revival at the moment as they have lost their last two league games and they are winless in four now in the top flight. Their winless streak has a genuine chance of being extended as they have to go to Wembley to face Tottenham in a tough game on Saturday evening. The Lilywhites are in a big scrap to try and land a top-four place this season and can’t afford to have their form at home desert them. Will Harry Kane fire them to more success?

Tottenham News and Form

There has been no sign at Wembley that Spurs are going to lose a league match there anytime soon. They have won three of their last four at home (D1) in the top flight and they have netted thirteen goals in their last four there. Of those thirteen goals, Harry Kane has bagged five of them. It has been another tremendously fruitful season from him and he heads up both the First and Anytime goalscorer markets at Betfair. There was a frustration for Spurs in their last home game as West Ham rolled up in defensive mode and earned a 1-1 draw at Wembley. Tottenham are unbeaten in their last four league games home and away and their home form for the season reads W6 D4 L1. So they are generally a pretty reliable home banker and they have averaged exactly two per game going forward at home. They boast a good defensive record of just nine goals conceded at Wembley. They do have a scrap on their hands for a top-four finish this season though and are five points worse off than they were at this stage last season. Just 36% of their home games have seen more than two goals so under 2.5 goals at Betfair at 11/10* (Betting Odds were taken January 11th, 2018 at 6.27 pm) should be the way to swing here for the game. Spurs to win to nil is worth a bit of consideration as well, as three of their six home wins have been with a clean sheet.

Everton News and Form

Sam Allardyce has gotten Everton away from the drop zone, but their form and goals have dried up again. The Toffees are winless in their last four league games (D2 L2) and in that sequence of matches they have managed only the one goal as well. They go into this one after back to back league losses, one against Manchester United which is somewhat excusable, the other not so much as they lost at Bournemouth and that was some big dropped points. The Toffees have claimed only the one away win in the top flight this season in a W1 D5 L5 record and their goal output is low as well, with them having returned only the eight goals as well. They have improved somewhat recently out on the road, showing a little more fight in a W1 D2 L1 record in their last four road games, but still, it’s not great. Only 36% of Everton’s away games this season have managed to get over the 2.5 goal line so again, this is likely going to be a low scoring affair. Seven of the nine second-half goals that Everton have conceded this season have all been in the final fifteen minutes of matches. Going forward, they have managed to open the scoring just twice on the road and going into the next round of matches, only three sides currently have collected fewer away points than the Toffees have done this season.

Tottenham v Everton Head to Head

The head to head from recent action in the Premier League is totally dominated by Spurs. They are on a two-match winning streak against the Toffees, having scored exactly three goals in both of those wins. Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League home fixtures against the Merseysiders and overall they have remained unbeaten in their last ten against Everton, holding a W5 D5 record against the Toffees in that sequence.

Tottenham v Everton Predictions

Tottenham to win: The Lilywhites have been solid on home soil and with Kane scoring for fun at the moment, they should have enough to take down Everton. The Toffees have just looked a little bit lightweight again and will probably come away empty handed. Look for Spurs to win to nil as an option.
