Tottenham News and Form

Spurs collected a good 3-0 away win at Cardiff on New Year’s Day. That is six wins in their last seven Premier League games which they have collected (L1). The blip in that sequence was a shock home loss against Wolves, which was their most recent home game. Overall this season Tottenham’s home form in the Premier League is at W6 D0 L3. That recent loss against Wolves at Wembley snapped a four-match home winning streak that Spurs were on in the EPL. Tottenham have averaged exactly two goals per EPL home game this season. Harry Kane is currently on a four-match scoring streak in the top flight.

They have conceded an average of exactly one goal per home game. 78% of the goals they have conceded at home have been after the half time break. 67% of Tottenham’s home games this season have gone over 2.5 goals and the Lilywhites have come up with a clean sheet in a third of their home games. Home and away they have four clean sheets in their last six EPL games so have been churning out some decent defensive displays. Going forward they have scored in each of their last eleven Premier League fixtures. Tottenham have opened the scoring in all but two of their home games and they have the third-best offence and third-best defence in the EPL currently

Manchester United News and Form

Manchester United took a 2-0 away win at Newcastle on January 2nd to make it four straight wins. All that perhaps has to be taken into a bit of context though, as each of those four wins were against sides currently 12th or lower in the Premier League table. They struggled against Newcastle as well. Still, Manchester United now have away form of W5 D2 L4 this season in the Premier League. Four of their five away wins have been at sides currently in the bottom half of the table. They have won their last two on the road.

Manchester United have done alright in front of goal and they have averaged exactly two goals per away game this season. At the back, it hasn’t been a great season from them through as they have conceded an average of 1.7 goals per away game. They have only managed the one clean sheet in their last eight (home and away combined) Premier League games. That was in their win over Newcastle. They have conceded 63% of their away goals in the first half of fixtures and both teams have scored in 82% of United’s away games. The Red Devils have scored in every away game played this season

Tottenham v Manchester United Predictions

Tottenham to win: Spurs are the better of the two sides and can bag themselves the three points in his one. It’s hard to gauge where United are at as their recovery has been against weaker opposition only. Spurs to win.
