Turkey News and Form

Turkey are actually in a bit of form at the moment. They are on a four-match winning streak across competitive and friendly fixtures. The Nations League campaign didn’t go all that well for them really. They suffered relegation down a tier after only picking up a W1 L3 record from their four games against Sweden and Russia. Turkey interestingly lost both of their home games in that particular campaign. But they do have a bit of positive form back behind them at the moment, but will it be enough to see them get the better of the reigning world champions?

France to win by a 1 goal margin
9/4

Betfair

Turkey go as heavy underdogs for this home fixture. But they have scored at least two goals in each of their last four fixtures now. Their defence has done a pretty good job of things lately and it could be the key factor if they happen to get anything out of this game. Turkey have conceded in just one of their last five games. The winner of this will take over the initiative at the top of the qualification group. At the end of this Euro 2020 qualification campaign it is likely to be Germany and Turkey occupying the top two spots anyway. But this remains a good test for Turkey on home soil against such a powerful, strong team.

France News and Form

There has been all too easy for France so far in Euro 2020 qualification. So far they have produced a 4-0 home victory over Ireland and 4-1 success in Moldova. This qualification campaign isn’t going to see them really break much of a sweat. This fixture is the toughest that they are going to get in the entire campaign. If they come out and put three points on the board it is absolutely going to be a cruise for them to the finish line. There is no one else in the group who looks anywhere near good enough, other than Turkey, to stop France.

France have won six of their last eight games now and the only defeat since March of last year was in their Nations League group against the Netherlands. They score so consistently well do France. They have scored at least two goals in all but one of their last seven fixtures played now across competitive and friendly games. They have only conceded one goal in total across their last four fixtures now too. Looking back at the Nations League they didn’t really deliver in their away games, earning a 0-0 draw in Germany, and losing out in the Netherlands. But they have tremendous squad stacked with quality and are being heavily backed to get maximum points out of this trip.

Turkey v France Predictions

France to win: we can actually see Turkey making a pretty good game of this, and at least sticking with the French till half-time. But the extra quality that Les Bleus have in their depth should see France get across the finish line. France to win and both teams to score a looks a pretty decent proposition for this fixture.
