England, Wales and Scotland will be flying Home Nations’ flags in UEFA Euro 2021 odds this summer.

We will get to see two of them clash as well, as England and Scotland will face off in Group D action excitingly.

For this Euro 2021 betting preview, we are going to take a look at the opening Group Stage matches for all three of them.

It’s Home Nations acca considerations from those Euro 2021 group bets, that we are looking at.

England v Croatia Euro 2021 Odds

England will be looking to make a positive, winning start at Euro 2021.

Fascinatingly, however, the Three Lions have never won the opening match of a European Championship campaign.

Can they change that on Sunday?

They line up against Croatia and England are 4/5 odds-on to win the fixture in Euro 2021 betting* (odds recorded at 19:17 GMT on June 7th, 2021 at Betfred).

A positive for England is that they have at least never lost a fixture at Wembley in a major international championship.

The head to head between the two nations at major tournaments is even.

England beat Croatia 4-2 in the Euro 2004 group stage but were eliminated by them in that memorable 2018 World Cup semi-final after extra time.

We wonder what is going to give.

England are D5 L4 from their previous opening fixtures at the European Championships. Croatia are undefeated in their five previous with a W4 D1 record.

We feel that a strong England lineup and positive mindset at home can see them edge this.

They have a little more attacking potential than their opponents and should be able to sneak a narrow success.

England to win at 4/5

Wales v Switzerland Euro 2021 Odds

Wales have never met Switzerland before at a major tournament, but are well down in the head to head against them from friendly fixtures.

Wales are W2 L5 against the Swiss. But, as a positive, Wales won the most recent meeting, a 2-0 success in October 2011 during the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

The Welsh can look back to the previous European Championships as well for confidence. On their tournament debut, they made the semi-finals.

During their qualification campaign for Euro 2021, Wales averaged 1.25 goals per game, the joint-lowest of all teams to make it through to the finals.

This has the look of being a low scoring game.

Wales are strong at the back and well organised, while Switzerland have scored more than one goal once in a European Championship fixture from 13 such games.

There shouldn’t be much for Wales to fear in this one.

They could have a match-winner in Gareth Bale who has scored in both previous appearances against Switzerland.

The only two nations to beat Wales since September have been Belgium and France. Switzerland have won their last five fixtures.

We see a draw playing out.

Draw at 2/1

Scotland v Czech Republic Euro 2021 Odds

Can Scotland make a winning start to their Euro 2021 campaign? Victory over the Czech Republic would give them a huge leg-up in qualification.

The Scots do have a home advantage with this group stage game being played at Hampden Park.

They have the head to head form as well. Scotland have won their last three on the spin against the Czech Republic.

That’s better form than they have against any of the other nations that are also taking part in the European Championship.

So this could be a great chance for Scotland to take.

Scotland qualified for the Championships, despite losing five qualification matches and ending with a negative goal difference.

But they can be pleased with recent form as they have drawn with the Netherlands and Austria in their last five fixtures (W2 D3).

The Czech Republic have lost their last two fixtures, going winless in three.

One of those defeats was against Wales and their record at the European Championship isn’t great.

The Czech Republic have lost six of their last nine fixtures at the tournament.

A positive performance from Scotland could easily give them a chance here.

Scotland to win at 2/1
